Great food! The seating/service was a little weird, but they were busy and we weren't in a rush. Perfect place to end your day trip in Payson!

I got the fish and chips dinner add 2 shrimp. The fish is fresh battered not greasy was really tasty. Frys were just regular seasoned Frys. Steak Frys would have really complimented the super good fish.

The service was top notch! Everyone was so kind. Lots of seating. I was nervous about bringing the kids in a bar but it was early in the evening and we weren't the only family. They were playing good music. The HERD burger (brisket) was INSANE!!! Soooo good. & I'm not a huge burger fan. But my son and I each got one. Neither of us could finish it. Buffalo Chip to finish with the littles. The little ones scarfed it down. Overall a fun, great place to stop in Payson.

Great experience here for dinner tonight! Found this place when my family and I were starving after hiking Tonto Natural Bridge. Upon walking in around 6 pm, this place was packed! There were a few tables left and we sat ourselves at a booth. The server came to greet us very quickly -- she took our drink and food orders at the same time without writing anything down. Our food came out accurately and hot and fresh! I ordered a regular cheeseburger with French fries, my daughter ordered a plain burger with fries and her dad had a green chile burger with fries. All of our food was delicious and exceeded our expectations. For dessert, we shared the cookie with ice cream and chocolate drizzle -- definitely a good portion for three! Service was excellent despite it being busy and prices were fair. We will absolutely be back!

homemade cookie with the ice cream is a nice taste of home :) we also had the quesadilla and the chicken sandwich with a side of fries, satisfying and came out hot + fast!

Cowboy club for lunch was good. I opted for the toasted sourdough bread. Fries were good. $17.00 was a little pricey. Cheeseburger was dry. Looked better than it was. $14.00 Cup of chlii was very good. $3.00 Sodas were $3.75 each. $45.00 for lunch.......:(

First timer here. Lots of burger options. Friendly service. Nice atmosphere and great music. Food.... Really really good. I ordered bacon cheeseburger with a side of bbq and fries as my side. Fries tasted fresh. Burger was good as specified. Side of zucchini was great. One was slight undercooked but the rest perfect. Husband ordered the buffalo burger. Looked amazing and for his first one he said it was great. Side of tots and he said they were great. Ordered some mozzarella sticks which were overcooked but that didn't stop him from eating them all. Overall we will be back to try more food.

The location was really nice and open with a patio, and the inside was spacious without the tables being packed together. Plenty of room to sit back and actually enjoy your meal. I went with the ribs, and they were smoked just right--exactly how I like them. Honestly, they didn't even need BBQ sauce. I ate some with just the rub and some with sauce, and both ways were delicious. The mashed potatoes were so good I should've ordered more. The mac and cheese wasn't overly creamy, which was perfect for me, and I can't forget the Caesar salad. Really good Caesar salad, and one thing I always appreciate--serve it on a cold plate. This one came out nice and cold and was super fresh. Overall, really good BBQ, great sides, and a nice comfortable location. Definitely worth the stop if you're in Payson.

Hello Everyone: This review is for Rim Country BBQ and Wood Fired Pizzas in Payson, AZ…read more This was our first time at this restaurant. We would definitely come back again. Because we could not decide what to order, we got the sampler plate which had meats, sides, and dipping sauces. The photos show you the "before" and "after" of our meal! Bathrooms are clean. We had no problem finding off-street parking. Analysis of experience: This plate is enough for two people. You get: two ribs, two 1/2 pieces of sausage, a scoop of pulled pork (about 1/3 to 1/2 cup), two thin slices of brisket and some sliced smoked turkey breast. Also included is a sampler container of their dipping sauces to enjoy with your meat. Sides included: baked beans, corn, mashed potatoes, coleslaw, potato salad and mac & cheese. Our meat favorites were the ribs and the pulled pork. This is why: I first tried a bit of each meat with no sauce. I don't want to review sauces and sauces can cover up/mask many issues just like a coat of paint on a wall. Therefore, I started with meat (no sauce) tastings, then moved to the meat and sauce tasting. Ribs: The rib meat easily cut off the bone and was tender. There was not a lot of meat, the bones were pretty big as you can see, but what meat there was had a nice flavor and was tender. Pulled Pork: The pulled pork was some of the most tender I have experienced. This meat went well with ALL the dipping sauces served to us. I did not get a lot of smoke flavor to it, the flavor was subtle, but that allowed for the sauces to shine a little bit. Brisket: The brisket was tender, but I felt the fat line on the top of the brisket was still too intact for me (not rendered enough so the fat juices get down into the meat) and I thought the brisket was a tad dry. Turkey: The turkey breast had a nice flavor, but again, it was very subtle. This meat was also a tad dry, not bad with sauce on it, but could have been a little juicier. That was perhaps my least favorite because it was on the dry side. Sausage: The sausage was 1/2 of a sausage cut in 1/2 again as you can see in the photo. This was a spicy sausage with a charred cut side, very nice. The char on the sausage added a nice crunch to each bite. My husband and I both agreed our favorites were the ribs and the pulled pork and should we return, these two meats would be on our radar. Regarding the sides, here is my review: The yellow corn was average - nothing special. The mashed potatoes were average - nothing special. Mac & Cheese - average, nothing special. The sauce on this item was too runny for us. The sauce wound up against other items on the plate. The cole slaw was nice, fresh tasting, but I think it needed a dash of fennel. The coleslaw and the potato salad (items which are served cold) were co-mingled on the plate with all the hot items. I would have preferred them being served inside a small bowl or container on the serving platter to keep them cold. The potato salad was very good - I would definitely order that again. The beans were excellent - I would definitely order those again. This menu item is also served with a piece of garlic bread which was very good - it had melted butter on it and tasted like garlic! I am giving this 5 Stars even with some short falls regarding flavor and or juiciness because of the environment, friendly staff, clean bathrooms, available to find parking without driving around, and menu choices. The menu is large, enough choices for everyone to get something. If we are back in the area, we will try one of their pizzas. Hannah was our server and she did a nice job checking on us since she knew it was our first time there. Very pleasant, nice smile, and good with her customers. Enjoy!

We ordered a double smash burger with bacon (an extra $2 charge) along with tomatoes, lettuce, and onion. The burger arrived with no bacon and none of the listed veggies. We also ordered a triple smash burger with cheddar cheese and tomatoes, lettuce, and onion -- again, none of the veggies were included. We also ordered a mashed potato bowl with chicken, corn, and brown gravy, but there was no brown gravy in it at all. Even though a lot of our order was missing, I will say the food itself still tasted good. The biggest issue, however, was the customer service. The young girl working there, who looked to be around 16 years old, was extremely rude and snotty. When I asked for plastic utensils, she replied, "We do not have any." I asked how we were supposed to eat mashed potatoes and gravy without utensils, and she shrugged and said, "Ma'am, we are a bar, we do not have it." I responded that I've ordered takeout from many bars before and they always provide plastic utensils. She then sarcastically replied, "Good for you, have a nice day." I tried speaking with who I believed was the manager (he nodded when I asked if he was), and while I was explaining the issue, the young employee continued interrupting and talking over me. Another waitress overheard the conversation and quickly returned with plastic utensils, proving they did in fact have them available. The employee then changed her story, saying she "didn't know" if they had utensils and claimed she was super sweet to me(not rude). There is no reason an employee should be speaking to customers this way. She clearly needs additional customer service training before handling customer interactions on her own.

We secured our reservations well in advance and arrived punctually. Upon check-in, the staff promptly guided us to our outdoor seating arrangement, which offered a stunning vantage point for watching the sunset while enjoying quality time together. While skimming through the appetizer menu, we struck up a delightful conversation with neighboring diners who enthusiastically recommended the lamb lollipops. Intrigued by their endorsement, we ordered them ourselves and were thoroughly impressed. The lamb lollipops delivered an unforgettable culinary experience--tender, flavorful, and absolutely pristine. For our entrées, I selected the 16oz boneless ribeye accompanied by a loaded baked potato, bacon-wrapped asparagus, and guajillo chimichurri sauce. My lady chose the 8oz Prime Filet Mignon, elegantly topped with herb butter, garlic whipped potatoes, and lemon-zest asparagus. Both dishes were extraordinary! The ribeye proved incredibly tender and juicy with remarkable flavor in every bite, while the filet mignon was equally spectacular. Both proteins were cooked to absolute perfection, melting effortlessly on our palates and leaving us craving more. The accompanying sides were equally impressive. We concluded our meal with a brown butter cake crowned with chopped praline pecans, whipped cream, and maple caramel sauce, served over vanilla bean ice cream. This dessert was so exceptional that we couldn't resist ordering a second one. Neither of us could help ourselves--we simply had to indulge again. Honestly, if we'd had room for another stomach, we would've absolutely gone back for seconds and thirds of everything on the menu. While The Vault Uptown certainly comes with a premium price tag, I can assure you that every single dish I've mentioned is worth every penny. I'd strongly recommend requesting an outdoor table positioned toward the sunset so you can take in the stunning vista of Snoopy Rock. The perspective from that vantage point is truly breathtaking. Don't hesitate to book your table at The Vault Uptown--you'll be thrilled with your decision.

This was our third visit, and the restaurant has never disappointed. That says a lot. Our only real critique would be to improve the initial greeting and perhaps upgrade the hostess experience.
