Sure, once in a while they don't answer their phone...because they are so busy! 20 minutes from Susanville but worth the drive. They make some pretty good thin crust pizza. They roll out your dough in front of you which I haven't seen in a long time. We had the Lumberjack which was all meat and pretty good and a half Hot Italian half Stuffed Mushroom these were both excellent. You must love blue cheese if you order the Stuffed Mushroom. This place is really popular up here, it was packed on this Wednesday night. So you might have to wait a bit to get your pizza. As we did. Their pizzas are very reasonably priced compared to chains. The reason for only 4 stars is because their fountain drinks are waaayy too sweet, like drinking syrup. We tried a few and they were all too sweet. I'd heard about Buffalo Chip's Pizza for years from my family during visits, yet never ordered anything from them nor tasted their food. This week I went in and decided on their Turkey Temptation sandwich at the recommendation of their staff. I was blown away by the portion and taste. The turkey is NOT processed and delicious. The entire sandwich deserves 5 stars. It was so good, i made the 40 mile round trip again today and picked up two more sandwiches. I've been vacationing at Lake Almanor, and the surrounding area(s), for nearly 30 years. Eating establishments come and go in the area, but Buffalo Chip's has managed to keep their doors open in the off season as well due to their grub being the best in Plumas County. It's cozy, and you can always count on a legit meal here. I've spent many summers at Buffalo Chip's and love their pizza. They've got the crust recipe down, and that's what makes it so damn good. It's braided, and isn't too thick. Leftovers hold up well after refrigeration. Their salad bar is delicious, and is well stocked. There's also a small arcade in the back for the kiddos (and for myself because I refuse to grow up). Service is always on point too. The homemade bread is to die for, and their sandwiches are flat out delicious, they never skimp. You can't go wrong with anything you order here. I especially like that they carry Diet RC Cola. The cabin fever pizza has avocado, and I recommend the jalapeño popper pizza (garlic cream sauce, cheese and jalapeños). Mercy! We recently moved to Chester last year. Kept going to the pizza place here until we just could not. Someone told us about Buffalo chips in Westwood. We tried it out. OBSESSED! My family LOVES this place! We were here for dinner tonight and it was great! We ordered an XL Half Cabin Fever and half BBQ Chicken (which is our absolute favorite!) and a small cheese pizza for the kids. When we got our half & half pizza I took one bite into the BBQ Chicken and noticed it didn't taste right, didn't have BBQ sauce or pineapple. I went and told the guy that served us our pizza and it was a simple mistake, they accidentally made us half #6 which is the Garlic Veggie pizza, he apologized and said he would make us a MEDIUM size BBQ Chicken on the house for his mistake! Which was seriously awesome of him! He even came out to our table and apologized again and told us our medium BBQ Chicken was just put in the oven. So to say the service was amazing is an understatement! And I truly and honestly do believe that Buffalo Chips is by far THE BEST pizza I've ever had in my life and they never disappoint! Also their prices are cheaper than other chain pizzas like Round Table, Mountain Mike's etc.. So, the most amazing pizza in the world for a GOOD price!
