Well I came to look if others had bad experiences like I did and now I understand why this place is so badly rated. I ordered 50 boneless wings with 4 sauces, and they gave me little side cups used for ketchup..I think they're 2 oz cups. It clearly says 4 oz on the receipt, and anyone could look and see that it's not sufficient for the large order I placed. When I talked to the girl who answered the phone, she clearly didn't care. The kitchen manager then called me back to tell me that I was wrong and it's supposed to be 2 oz. cups even though the receipt clearly stated 4 oz. of each sauce. Lesson learned: don't order anything online from this restaurant. I've ordered at numerous other buffalo wild wings locations and never had this problem. No wonder this place has 1 star ratings. They made sure that Wild Wing Cafe has a regular customer and I discourage any person reading this to go to this buffalo wild wings. We waited for our food more than 40 min, we told the waitress NO CHEESE on my husband's burger bc he is allergic. They bring out the food and it's COLD. My husband's burger had small pieces of cheese as if they tried to scrape it off his burger to not make a new one. We sent it back and waited 20 min for another burger. No one came to apologize. Buffalo Wild Wings used to be my favorite place to go. They closed for almost a year to open a new location. First time back. In at 11pm they close at 2. 6 people max at the bar. We're seated right by the register and eventually got greeted by one of the 3 employees behind bar. My girlfriend and I order two basic drinks, I get mine, my friend does not. I see her make 3 others drinks and I politely reminded her. I'm in the service industry, most of us are patient and don't like to complain and are observant to situations causing inadequate service. And the rest of the night was sitting with empty glasses and open menu while new guests were greeted and served. We ordered a second beverage, (avg time with empty glasses without a glance 12.5 mins) again I got my simple jack & coke and she, did not make hers. Had to remind her again, politely of corse. This was the 2nd bartender. The 3rd drink was never made after ordering so I, politely canceled the order after I saw other bar guests drinks made from guests sitting right beside us. But may we have waters to go with our spicy wings that had great flavor, however missing the meat on the bones. If I knew I was making a yelp review, I would have taken a pic. Very disappointed. I suggest going to a locally owned establishment with personable friendly bartender/servers & without the corporate inflated prices. read more

Just like the old one. Bad service, bad kitchen... must be bad management. We stopped going to the old one because the food and service were always consistently bad. We decided to try the new one to see what it was like. Same old same old. Service was extremely slow from almost every aspect except for us being seated. We were seated fairly promptly but it wasn't busy. Table service was slow. Bar service was extremely slow and did not get orders right. Food came out and wasn't prepared properly. Wings were soggy, sauce was just dumped on the wings and way to much sauce. The only reason the old one lasted so long was likely the location (near busy mall, campus and sporting events). This one doesn't have that luxury and I'll be surprised if it survives if things don't change. Management clearly isn't managing this place. We won't be back. Unless by some miracle we hear it's drastically improved. There are much better wing places in town. No need to waste your time and money here. read more

I had a take out order and it was unfortunate that the order was wrong. We were missing food out of our bag and the wing sauce was wrong. We did not call that night (mistake our part) as we knew we were not going to drive out there the same night as it was very far but I am not sure if I would eat there again. And honestly, I am not sure if you should eat there either. At the time of writing this, there are less than 2 stars. People are very unsatisfied due to customer service. I spoke with the general manager, and I am not even sure if he really felt genuine about the mistake made by his team. AVOID AT ALL COST. I want to start off by saying that I love BWW, and at every other location I've been to - I've seen great service. THIS LOCATION IS TERRIBLE. DO NOT GO HERE. Because I like BWW, I wanted to give this location a few tries before leaving a review, and after four terrible visits in a row, I can confirm either management, kitchen staff, servers, or all of the above do NOT care about doing their jobs. Every time I have walked into this location, I have had to wait for an excess of 10 minutes before someone realizes I might want to eat some food. Each of these four times I was only there to pick up my online order, which should have been ready at the time I was told to pick the food up, no? Well-- every time I have had to wait an additional 5-15 minutes while "[Insert new name] is preparing your order and will be bringing it out in just a second." They clearly don't start cooking your food when the order comes in, and I've never picked up food while the place was busy. Every single time, half of the restaurant was empty - so no excuses here either. Sometimes I'm missing a wing, EVERY time I'm missing at least one side, or my celery, carrots, etc. I have made a habit of taking my bag, and opening up each box and counting my food in front of the server because of how often they screw sh&# up here. It's sad that this is the only BWW location near me because I come back hoping things will change but they never do. Last night, I received extremely stale fries. They were cold. They were soggy. Some were hard as rock. I also found fried pickles in my fries-- guess who didn't order fried pickles: ME! Pictures are attached, you might have to go to the gallery section to see it. Disgusting. The pickles were cold and stale too when I picked them out of my fries. Management doesn't care about your wait times and I have seen employees look at me and continue cleaning tables or serving people at the bar, never acknowledging the fact that you're waiting for service. I generally had been disappointed with this location in the past. The wings were under-sauced and the servers didn't seem to have much to say to a 57 year old guy who was alone at the bar. Decided to try it today on the second day Virginia said they could do indoor seating. Food was great. Lots of tummies sauce. Excellent fries. Served quickly with ice cold beer. Don't get me wrong, I love Buffalo Wild Wings, but this Charlottesville location is the worst I have ever been to for take-out. They get two stars because on the rare occasion I actually eat at the location the food quality is fine, the wings are plenty saucy (even with take-out that's true) and the wedges are good; however, the service in the restaurant is usually pretty terrible with servers completely avoiding your table once your food is delivered, so no refills, and they cannot get a take-out order correct to save their lives. I choose more often than not to get my food takeout because I just don't care for the atmosphere inside any B-Dubs anymore, it's too loud and I just don't enjoy that experience as much as I used to, and that's not a problem except that any time I order take-out my order is always wrong and some things that you might order usually come in pathetic portions (e.g. salads). I've learned to check the bag before I leave because of that, but today, I did not do the food pickup and the person who did didn't happen to check the bag and then drove the 20 minutes home only to find a whole order of wings missing. When the restaurant was new, I gave them benefit of the doubt, new crew and probably new management they just needed to find a groove. It's been open for a while now and still cannot get this right. Not to mention I don't customize my wing order and ask for all flats or all drums (I prefer flats) but I don't mind getting a healthy balance of flats to drums but tonight I got 9 drums and 1 flat. Come the next time I want B-Dubs, I'll make a longer drive and get my wing fix at some other location. read more

So my family arrive at the new location on 3Mar19 around 430-435..... business hours are: Sunday 11AM-2AM Waitress(don't want to us the waitres's name in case of a negative backlash) was real nice and fast(and had just came on shift).....how ever on the 3 or 4 trip to the table she informed my part of 6 that they can NOT make ANYTHING off the grill because the cooks hadn't shown up to work. Annoyed that because 2 of the members of our party are from out of state (brother from Pennsylvania and mother from Kansas) Then told when she came back because now half of the party has to change what they wanted, and was asked if salads were also. The waitress then had to check because she wanted to double check. Then comes back and informs us "That is ALSO on the list, because the kitchen manager had been too busy standing around talking and had NOTHING set up!" Now I would get this IF they had just opened with the first 30 minutes to an hour. However 5 hours? Someone should have been fired! Now since we are 50/50 on one of these.... Good service/ok food OR good food/very rough serves....we get one or the other, it has become one of the hardest places to go to with my direct family (wife/kids) to go because of this it is a big thing.....first time I've had almost 75% of the menu unavailable....We inform all of this after we had already ordered the drinks and beers and the waitress being so on point and fast and friendly.....we most likely would have just gotten up and left after. So ALL we was ABLE TO ORDER was appetizers, and some wings, and carrots.....they were OUT OF celery. Stuff like this is making it so hard to come back even after giving several chances and and different days and times..... If I could give this 2.5 stars, I probably would. The food was cooked to order and it wasn't cold when I picked it up. The person at the counter who handed my order to me was very courteous and everyone was masked. The problem was...the taste...of all of the food. Everything was WAY too salty. I'm not against salt in my food, I eat some fast food places and I even add a little salt to my oatmeal. The flavor of everything was overpowered by salt. Will never eat here again! Alex "The manager" is horrible! Not sure who hired him.. but he's a horrible fit. My boyfriend & I ordered 15 boneless wings. Alex brought out 15 bone-in wings instead of boneless. We told him our order was wrong and he said "so what do you want to do". We were very shocked that he was super rude and unprofessional but let it go and told him we would keep the wings. So then, we informed our waitress (without touching the wings) that we ordered boneless and she apologized and said she pushed the wrong button. I proceeded to tell her that it was okay, and to save her time because it was super busy, that we would keep these wings as long as we could still get the boneless wing price. We also told her if we couldn't change the price then we would wait for the boneless. She said yes she could alter the price and everything was resolved. Once we finished eating and got our check, I saw that the bone-in price was on the receipt instead of the boneless price like we previously discussed. Once she returned, I respectfully informed her that the price was wrong on the receipt and that it was charged for the bone-in instead of the boneless . She apologized again and said that she would fix it. 3 mins later, Alex comes over to our table rudely and asked us "what is the problem?" He then said "y'all ate the wings so y'all have to pay for them" I told him that we have no problem paying for the wings, it's that we were told that we would be charged the boneless price. He proceeds to say that our waitress didn't know what she was talking about and that we have to pay. During the conversation, he was yelling at us and being very disrespectful in front of a packed restaurant.. After that Alex walked away and Our waitress returned asking "Is everything okay and did everything get handled." I told her no it wasn't okay and it didn't get handled. I told her that it's okay that she put the order in wrong but we specifically asked if the price would be altered before touching the wings and she said yes. She then says "I know, I tried telling Alex" and then walked away again. After, Alex walks back to our table and says "so y'all ready to pay?". After him being rude for the 3rd time, I told him I was only paying for the boneless price and he said "no, you're going to pay for the whole thing" . He proceeds to scream at me saying, "you are going to pay for these wings or I'm calling the police and you will be banned." My boyfriend stepped in, being nice and professional saying, "sir, you don't need to yell at her. You can talk to me calmly and clarify the issue." Alex says "Ain't no sir! You are going to pay for this food and get the HELL out of my restaurant". My boyfriend starts smiling/laughing and said "you need to lower your voice." Alex says, " You can wipe that smile off of your face, pay for this food and get the hell out of my restaurant." I told Alex that he doesn't need to talk to us like that. Then, I told my boyfriend to not pay yet because we weren't ready to go. Alex says "you need to pay and get out." Then, I asked for a manager. Alex proceeds to say " I am the manager here" and laughed. I asked if he was the top manager and he said "yes I am" and walked away. He came back a few minutes later and started raising his voice again. So to avoid any other conflicts, my boyfriend pulled out his card, paid the bill and we left. My boyfriend and I feel that we were mentally, racially, and emotionally attacked by Alex. What he did was not right and very unprofessional, especially coming from a manager. This situation was socially embarrassing and we feel ridiculed for a easily fixable situation. We can not emphasize enough how disgusted and frustrated we were during our perfectly planned date night. We will take this to higher action to avoid any future issues for other customers read more

We came to this location to watch the games and enjoy some food. The wings were good, drinks were good. The location was not busy at all in the middle of the day on Saturday. Our waitress was very attentive and polite. The only downside was the menu, as it lacked meatless options. They have a bean burger, but it fell apart before it even got to me. I tried it anyway, but the food was too salty for me to enjoy. I was looking forward to the cheese fries, but there was too much salt for me to finish the side. read more

When I asked to have the bill adjusted due to a very long wait the manager angrily pulled out my credit card slip, scribbled out the tip I had left, and demanded I initial it. She claimed that she had no ability to void the charge and charge something more reasonable. To me this says that either a) she was lying, or b) the owners above her do not care if customers leave happy and have prevented her from correcting mistakes. I could tell she deals with upset customers all the time and just gives the same blank look without even offering an apology. Not only that, we were under the impression that the customer would also get taken care of so when something was offered in place of the messed up item, I didn't think that the management would actually make the customer pay for both the item that was messed up as well as the replacement. Then when my friend and I decided to ask our waitress about the situation she was very quick to catch an attitude... not only that but also quick to grab the manager whom was also adamant about arguing with us. This location is close to my new job so I was excited to have a sports bar with wings so close. I have tried this place about six times and EVERY single visit was disappointing. I will not be going back. I don't know about the waitstaff because I always sat at the bar when I was there. What I can tell you is that the bar service is terrible. Three reasons: 1. Slow service. very poor attention to customers even when the bar is not busy! 2. Opened the " beer menu" last time I was there and told to ignore it because it was not up to date. This place is practically brand new. 3. Bad wings. No kidding, I love, love, love chicken wings and these are not good at all...AND get this: If you order a snack size of wings the amount you get can vary depending on the size of the wings!! Meaning if the wings are big you get less. My last order and last meal there had the smaller amount and the wings were pathetically small and dried out. I don't know what else to tell you. Went to the new Charlottesville location today. Busy but tons of empty tables, yet it took 45 minutes to get our wings. The wings were okay, but they were out of celery!!? What kind of wing joint doesn't have celery? My friend got a burger (have no idea why) which was burned and the fries were cold. He ate it because we were starving and at this point going to be late getting back to work. That said, the waitress was good and when we spoke with the manager she gave us each $10 gift certificates.
