Poorly managed. I ordered food for pickup and it was about 20 mins late. They also gave me the incorrect order. Dirty inside as well.

We get there & the hostess seemed like she didn't want to be there, she basically suggested us leaving by insisting that they were short staffed and said the wait would be AT LEAST 25 minutes. We tell her we still want to wait, so we'll just wait at the bar for a table. She comes back to us five minutes later and just tells us to sit at a table in the bar area. Not sure if there was a lapse of communication or what, but we sat at our table waiting to be addressed by any server for about 20 minutes. We finally succeeded in waving down a server, after they avoided eye contact with us for what seemed like an eternity. If it weren't for the attentive bartender & the delicious fries, I would give this place a 1 star. The TV also had weird formatting for the sports game I went there to watch. We came in tonight (6:15pm) hoping to sit down and eat but the hostess wouldn't seat us at a booth...it was pretty empty in the restaurant which was nice but she said because of the server rotation I couldn't get a booth. She wanted to seat us at the high top tables but I'm short (5'1) and it's really uncomfortable for me to be on those tables. I was very surprised with the fact BWW has amazingly great burgers! When we lived in the Indianapolis area, we did not go, as we thought BWW only had wings. Seeing the ad on Grubhub gave the interest to try the burger, and cheese curds. GREAT. Better advertising would be good to have more interest for more customers. I will be ordering again! read more

I have come here a few times. I love the Buffalo wild wings sandwiches tho, The chicken ones with everything on them. You can get several combos with wings and fries and a drink. Our restaurants in Costa Mesa have to do better. There's customer service and food. That's it, with restaurants. So we ordered a family pack 40 piece chicken wings and 3 ceaser salads and were so disappointed when we got home. Some of the boneless pieces were so small we couldn't believe they counted them as an actual piece. Smaller than your pinky size. We were shocked. Then the side ceaser salads were awful. I have small hands and I can grab a bigger portion of ceaser salad to fit the box it came in. They can't be this cheap to not even fill the box properly. It was barely 3/4 full. Last thing...I called the manager to complain. The least the manager can do when someone is complaining is say..."What can we do for you? Do you want to come back and we'll provide you a dish on us?" Or give us a coupon code for the next time. Something. Anything to bring us back...but he offered nothing. We paid $59 and it was terrible and not worth the money. We also asked for BBQ sauce and got ketchup instead...probably for our fries but ...shouldn't be that hard to provide us BBQ sauce. DO NOT GO HERE. By far the WORST service I've ever received. I understand what it's like to be "short-staffed" during dinner but (lord have mercy) could you please teach your staff some manners too?? Let's start with when I got there. I stood in the lobby for 5 min before anyone even came back to the "hostess" area. When David showed up, he was fiddling with the pad. I didn't say anything at first because I figured he was trying to get people situated but then he tried to walk away so I called for him to ask about getting on the waitlist. He nonchalantly took my name without any regard to how long I had been waiting. There was no regard to the lack of attention that those of us who were waiting were experiencing. When we FINALLY got seated, we were seated at a table that I had been staring at for 20 min (and even asked about when I got there). A couple walked in at the 20 min mark and got seated immediately and another party of 3 got seated (they came after me) before my party of 2 got seated. We sat there for 10 minutes - no server came by to even ask us if we wanted water. One server walked by us THREE TIMES before my manfriend decided to go to the bar to order our drinks. When the bartender/server served us the drinks, she wasn't even friendly. Just slammed down our drinks, told us it was a Corona and an IPA and walked off. Eventually, that same three-times crossing server walked by again so I flagged her down and asked her if she could find out who our server was. Low and behold, it was her. Fast forward to 20 minutes later, I asked her about our food; she said 5 minutes. I asked her to box our food and give us the check. She was real quick about getting us our check. Another 15 minutes went by and STILL NO FOOD. I got up and asked to speak to a manager. When the manager comes 5 minutes later, she tells me that she thinks the waitress is boxing our food as we speak. SERIOUSLY?? I said, what's the point in paying for food that we're not going to get? She told us 5 minutes and it's now 15. The manager ended up going into the kitchen and getting our food for us which only tells me that the server WAS NOT boxing our food because I spoke to the manager for at least 5 minutes and I know it doesn't take 10 minutes to box 12 wings. TLDR: this place is garbage. They need to train their staff better, get rid of them, and or have corporate rain down on how to fix their customer service issues. Only leaving this review because we experienced the worst customer service we've ever had here. Similar to other reviews, this location definitely seems under-staffed. We were there for an hour and no server ever came to our table. It was so bizarre. Several other tables just walked out. Let me start with saying we sat in the bar area, after seating ourselves.. no one even acknowledged us. My husband and I went to have wings before a UFC fight. Here are all my issues: -5pm We arrived to put in our name, and were asked to wait outside. Consequently, 3 other parties arrived after us and were put in front. -5:30pm We were told there were no more tv seats. (Although many empty tables) We sat far away. -6:30pm Told us they misspoke and had more space than expected. They let us move by a tv. Yay! -8:45pm (15 minutes before main UFC fight) they told us business was picking up and we used up too much time and we had to leave -9pm They displaced 40 customers (10+ parties) with no one to fill the tables. We all stood on the street and watched the main fight They even called the cops and turned the TVs off at one point to get others to leave for "overstaying!!" It was weird. After leaving a Rubio's across the parking lot, an hour before they were scheduled to close, because they didn't have enough steak to make us four tacos, we bailed and spotted our local Buffalo Wild Wings.There's a first time for everything and wings sounded fine at this point. We walk in and are seated almost immediately by a very pleasant employee. After a couple of minutes, a harried server swings by to acknowledge us and let us know that our waters were on the way. I can't explain why it took us a couple minutes to finally acclimate, but as we looked at our menus we both realized and remarked similarly ... this is the LOUDEST, MOST OBNOXIOUS restaurant we've ever sat down in. Of course, lots of TVs on different channels. It's Saturday night at 8:30pm. Surely a large contingent of guests are two or three drinks in by now. But folks, in strictly audio terms, it sounded nuts. Have you ever seen one of those movies or TV shows where they stage a scene taking place in a maximum-security prison full of hardened criminals. Right before the shooting script dictates that inmates take over the institution and wreak havoc, there's a cacophony of yelling, insults, banging of utensils, etc. It's deafening on purpose. This all-too-deliberate audio track is meant as a prelude to all the hell that's about to break loose. THAT'S what it sounded like ... the prison from hell. Our server never made it back (it was busy) and we quickly concluded, "We simply cannot do this." And we got up and left. The food might be fantastic. The service top-notch. I cannot comment on those things as we didn't last long enough to order anything. I took photos to illustrate that they were open after 10 PM, serving other patrons, and not adhering to the COVID 19 restrictions. We, a party of two came here on a random Thursday around dinner time and we were seated immediately! Staff was very nice, our server was friendly and attentive! We happen to go on a day they had BOGO free boneless wings so that's what we ordered! The lemon pepper dry rub and the original buffalo flavors are what I tried and they were pretty good although the wing sizes were so tiny. I also got an order of regular fries and they were slightly a bit hard but still good! We also ordered fried pickles but we felt like they were not as crispy as we'd like. We also ordered potato wedges with cheddar on top which were yummy! We also were not aware that they charge you extra for ranch, we thought we would get at least one dressing as part of the wing order but they charge a few cents more for that so beware on how many you ask for! I am a fan of the food at BWW and this was my first time dining at this location. I came later at around 9:45 PM and sat at the bar. We were given a menu but weren't told in advance that they were sold out of the cauliflower wings. I don't eat meat so it was bummer. I also had waited a while to even place the order just to find out I cannot get what I came for. I was starving so I ordered fried pickles and fries which were so good, per usual. The only issue is that it took literally 35 minutes for us just to get them. I was so glad that the guy who we told remedied the situation and covered our tab for the inconveniences. He was extremely understanding and friendly and that honestly made up for the poor experience. Great customer service goes a long way! The food here is always the same- super tasty.
