Server not even coming around to update us on anything nor to refill our drinks. Poor, slow service. And small portion of fries. To add to this awesome experience, our server charged us another table's bill. How does that even happen??? Decided to enjoy the free air conditioning at Windward Mall on a Sunday morning. At 11am decided to have lunch at Big City Diner but unfortunately it was crowded so luckily for Buffalo Wild Wings . It's been awhile since I experienced Buffalo Wild Wings . I originally went to their first location in the Discovery Bay (Waikiki) way back and experience bad service. Moving forward about 2 years ago bad service again at their Pearl Highlands location with my friend. After that I decided not to go to another Buffalo Wild Wings. Well I decided to give them another shot plus they just opened @11am so I was the first customer. Our host sat us down and our waiter was very nice and we ordered. My wife and I shared a All American cheeseburger w/potato tots and a side of 6 pieces of their Buffalo dry rub chicken wings. We was the first customer in their and we had to wait for our food about 20mins. I was wondering is it going to be another epic fail. Our food finally came out and their cheeseburgers was actually pretty good very juicy with all the fixings. Their Buffalo wings was nice and crispy with a ranch dipping sauce . This review is based on a delivery order placed through UberEats, so I will preface that the entire rating might not be entirely BWW's fault. However, the last 3 times I've ordered from this BWW location (in-person, takeout, and delivery) the quality of my food has been subpar. Today's review is based on preparation time, temperature of food, missing items, and the overall quality. PREPARATION TIME: Tonight's food was delivered more than 2.5 hours after the order was placed through UberEats despite our less than 4 minute commute from the Windward Mall location. We decided to give BWW another shot because we had friends spontaneously dropping by for a visit and didn't have time or groceries to prepare food to share. Unfortunately, the food did not arrive before our friends needed to return to town. TEMPERATURE OF FOOD: Our ~$80 order included 50 wings, French fries, chips with trio dip, and 3 ranch dipping sauces + celery and carrots. Of the items that arrived (wings, fries, chips and dip) they were all colder than room temperature. My guess is they were prepared 2.5 hours ago when the order was originally placed. We couldn't salvage the cold/stale fries, so they were immediately tossed. MISSING ITEMS: The ranch, celery and carrots were missing from our order. On the other hand, the container of queso dip (from the trio dip + chips) was half full. Not a huge deal, but considering the wait we expected everything to be accounted for. OVERALL QUALITY: Unfortunately, the quality of the food was even less impressive than the last few times we took a chance on BWW. The salt & vinegar wings tasted plain and the cold temperature made consumption a risky affair (we microwaved what we could salvage). Zo was extremely helpful last night with the menu since the grill was down. He made great recommendations for food and sauces along with some of the beer specials they had running. He also had a table of about 30 plus people at the same time who were extremely rude to him! Despite the chaos he remained professional and very nice to them and us as well. I have got to say, the manager on duty as well as our wait staff was on point tonight! It may have been the Christmas vibe in the air or something... But this visit was definitely 5 stars! As soon as we entered, the manager on duty (Chris) greeted us with his amazing smile and fantastic service. He had us checked in and seated in under a minute. No joke! And he was really personable too. Our waitress Camryn was amazing! She was very friendly and helpful. Did not miss a beat. Our beverages were quick to the table and in perfect order. We ordered a spiked football (tastes kinda like a Pina colada) and an angry orchard apple cider. Both were great. We didn't have to wait long for our food because the kitchen was running like a well oiled machine! And the way the staff worked together was like a symphony in motion. It's so lovely when you experience such great service seemlessly. Our food was hot and delicious. Typical fare for a wing joint. But I have to say my daughter is partial to their wings. We ordered a sampler with garlic wings, chicken nachos, mozzarella sticks, onion rings and accompanying sauces... A brisket sandwich with fries and potato wedges, mild Buffalo wings, and brisket street tacos with salsa and chips. So yum! I really enjoyed the brisket tacos. I guess there's a reason why we don't go here. And I would never bad mouth a place without a cause. But this place is a sh*t show....in my opinion. Ok, so giving these guys another try. Poor server had to tell me once again that the beer advertised was out again. Have gone there many times and ordered Sam Adam's only to my disappointment once again that although still on menu, they didn't have it available. Since this restaurant is in a major mall, finding free parking isn't an issue here, as Windward Mall has a large parking lot. The Buffalo Wild Wing restaurant itself is pretty spacious, but it appears that Buffalo Wild Wings is pretty popular, so when we got to the restaurant, there was a slight wait to get a table. After getting our table & looking over the menu, we ordered the following items - 1. Large wing platter ($28.29). We got the flavors of - Hot, Caribbean Jerk, Honey BBQ, & Spicy Garlic. The large wing platter included some carrots, & celery. 2. Buffalo Tender Burger ($12.99) with Onion Rings ($2.25). 3. Garden side salad ($4.99), cuz I like try keep my boyish figah! Lol! 4. To wash down our meals, I got an Ice Tea ($3.39) & my friend got a Lemonade ($3.39). What can I say about the grub? Every single time I come here I am let down. There is always uncourteous staff who do not serve you happily. Wait times when the restaurant is no where near capacity are to be expected. I recently had a staff member ask me to wait 10 minutes to clean a booth, and upon peering aside them there was several clean and open booths, with enough staff to support another sitting. Food is mid for this particular bdubs. I suggest the General Manager, Courtney, increase wages to boost employee morale and make a more inviting atmosphere. I think our waiter's name was Vinn (I'm so sorry if it's not). He was very kind and patient with us. We always take so long with making a decision of what we want. I decided to get the loaded tots and my boyfriend and his friend got the wings (of course!). Vinn came to our table a few times to check in with us. I really appreciate that. After my loaded tots, I wanted dessert so I got the ice cream with cinnamon chips. It was okay. I wish the ice cream was more solid than melted. The chips were good - a nice touch. Of course, when you go to BWW, you order wings and not dessert. Lol. Overall, my experience was good. I liked the food, the service was good - everyone worked together to get our food out, having the game on was a plus (especially for the boys), and a great night with friends.
