7/29/26 Servers: MEAGAN & WHITNEY…read more Tonight we went to Double Dogs and it was so relaxing, and the the food was really good. We both had the BREAKFAST BURRITO-BACON and it just hit the spot. Our server was fairly new, but she was so excellent. She was so sweet and checked on us so many times. As we were getting up from our chairs, Whitney came by to say "Hi". She told Meghan that we had been her customers several times & that we had been so nice. She would loves us. That meant alot to us. Whitney had been so sweet and still remembered us. The ambiance is sports bar with (unless I miscounted) 33 large TVs, the bar, garage doors that open to the outside patio where 4-legged friends are welcome, friendly and efficient service, and best of all, they support the Kentucky Humane Society. Oh, and that tagline though- "Sit. Stay. Eat." Despite the sports bar ambiance, it is definitely child/family friendly. On both my visits (lunch time) there were many families enjoying their lunch. The menu is expansive with the burgers and hot dogs being the main call, but also includes, wings, sandwiches, pizza, and so much more. I opted for the 'breakfast burger' which included the burger, cheese, onions, bacon, and a fried egg. Honestly, one of the best burgers I have had in a long time. I substituted green beans for the included fries, which I often do when eating out. Typically, I end up with a small bowl of what is akin to baby-food vegetables! Not the case here. The green beans were whole and perfectly cooked with a mild crunch and had a delicious seasoning. Talk about being pleasantly surprised. Folks, this is not your 'typical' bar food! This stray dog will definitely return, and I may get a microchip that reads "return to Double Dogs if found."

I have heard of this place through Social Media and people I know. I wasn't too sure what it was…read morebefore but, I heard local bands and musicians would perform here. I also heard it was a bar and restaurant. What brought me here, Burger week of course. I go here after getting off work one evening. Entering the parking lot it was packed but I found a space close to the entrance. I go in and I asked if I could sit at the bar because it was just me and was told that I could. I sit at the bar and I do get service in a good amount of time. I got the Pizza Burger which was their specialty and the Mozzarella Moons (another term for mozzarella sticks) except they are moon shaped. Very good. Then came the pizza burger. Pepperoni, cheese and marinara on a burger patty. Loved the crisp pepperoni and the cheese and marinara sauce. Can't say I ever had a burger like that and even told the bartender that was my favorite burger for burger week. Service, food and atmosphere was good for the most part. Apparently they have their staff try to push dessert sales for an S/O (Shoutout). Nothing wrong with trying to sell desserts but, idk how that sits with other employees like it's a competition or something. I didn't order the dessert and their choices looked good. I was full and thought maybe next time. I definitely want to come back and try their other foods at some point but, I don't come to this end very much. They had a band playing as I left and the crowd seemed to love it. I would love to bring friends here.

We met a few of the locals. We sat at the bar to watch some football and were greeted by the bartender, Naomi. She got our drink orders and came back shortly for our food choices. My wife got a bowl of chili and I ordered the smoked wings (special- not on the menu) with a side of homemade chips. Everything was fantastic, some of the best smoked wings I have had. It was a bit too basic and bland, and I was disappointed we didn't add on more toppings for flavor. It came with a small bag of Lays chips. The BLT was the stand out. On a round bun it had a lot of crispy bacon. I upgraded to fries and was happy that I did. Service was friendly and we were well taken care of with timely orders and refills. The chicken sammie was heavy -- like, this thing was no lightweight! The pickles gave it a nice tang, and the slaw was more of a classic diner-style slaw. It added the perfect cool, creamy layer to the sandwich and really pulled everything together. Hubby went for the Ghost Pepper boneless wings and fries at Heat Level 6 out of 7, so he definitely wasn't messing around! He really liked the slow-building burn of the heat. But by the end of the meal? His eyes were watering and his nose was running! Apparently, Level 6 is no joke! The fries were thin, crispy, and had a really nice seasoning on them. And I have to give a special mention to the Cokes. They have that crisp, ice-cold, carbonated taste that Coke is supposed to have. They have many sides including thin fries, Parmesan garlic fries, Creamy Mac & Cheese, and Sweet Vinegar Slaw. Their chicken is available in wings, drum sticks, Sammie's, you can add chicken (fried or grilled chicken ) to the Kale Crunch Salad. They also have Chicken and Waffles which my husband and I ordered. That is our favorite entree to eat at Joella's Hot Chicken. Marv and Sawyer took the orders, and Dany delivered the food to the tables. They did a good job bringing the utensils, the sauces and clearing the tables. Rachel is their District Manager and lives in Indianapolis. She is a big supporter of Swan Pointe. We had a nice time sitting with some of our newer residents and getting to know them.

This allowed for a variety of crab legs, steamed oysters, sausages, corn, red potatoes, garlic Parmesan bread, shrimp, grouper, onion rings, clam strips, along with butter, tartar sauce, and cocktail sauce.
