we arrived around 5:30 and sat on the non bar side of the restaurant as we had small kidos and did not want to disturb your other customers. Initially our service was good and we placed drinks, appetizers and dinner orders. Our drinks came out approximately 10-15 minute later and then we did not see the waitress for over 30 minutes. Never checked back to see how we were on drinks, never saw our appetizers or other food etc. At approximately 6:15 I finally went to the hostess and asked if we could get someone to check on us and let her know we had not seen our food, drink, etc. I actually went to the bar to get our second round of drinks. We finally saw food at 6:30 and everything came out cold. I went to ask for the manager and show the mozzarella tots and how they were cold. However the waitress saw me and "put in an order for free ones". We never saw those "free ones" and we paid for the cold ones we never touched. 2 other families left after waiting 35 minutes without even receiving so much as a round of waters. ]From talking to others this seems to be the reputation and will definitely have to be very compelled to return read more

The wings are good because of the variety of sauced, but the tend not to be very meaty, and thus, a bit dry. Hit or miss I'd say. However, this restaurant chain has the best cheeseburgers in the area. Add bacon and avocado. Amazing. Seriously, you should give it a try. Now, for the bad news. The Sterling restaurant, on Shaw Road, has the most uncomfortable chairs I've EVER sat in. They're relatively new I think. I haven't been to this particular restaurant for a while. Don't know if other BWF restaurants have done this, but if so I'm carry-out from here forward. This was a bad idea unless you don't want people to stay long (like all you can eat Thursday?) The chairs are solid steel, extra small, with a hard flat bottom. They feel terrible from the moment you sit down and it gets worse from there. I'm not even sure cushions would help. read more

I go here quite often. Wings are good, a nice crunch, not overly sauced, but i do think they just make things up when it comes to some of their sauces, i mean mixing hot sauce and blue cheese to make the fire and ice sauce, i can do that at home. i expected more out of the mango habenero, not sweet at all and very pasty like ketchup. As for the beer selections they had my favorite beer Golden Monkey but no longer have it, i had been getting mixed messages from employees about they discontinued it or not, MAKE UP YOUR MIND. Really no caesar salad come on now. Staff there is great Chris Opie is the man(expect he is a cowboys fan), Jessica is cool too, I think one of the bartenders name is Shannon cool person too. If you are looking for a sports bar you may not get much of an experience like a normal sports bar like BWW but its more like a local eatery on a beaten path. good place though. read more

Came here to eat while visiting for the holidays. Great food!! I had the Peruvian chicken wrap and it was delicious. Our food came out fast and was all correct. We are regular customers of this restaurant on Monday nights...when they offer 60 cent wings. We've tried about 12 flavor varieties, and while we have our top 3 tastes, all the different kinds were nice. The management and waitstaff are very friendly as well. Highly recommended!! read more

I couldnt eat the flatliner wings so didnt even attempt it..I was set up to eat one in 2006 being bold (because I love hot wings) but I couldnt handling em..My mouth was lit up for almost the whole day lol..my friend tried the second level Torrid Zone and he was able to finish it but barely lol..Service is decent..cant expect TOO much because its a pub type spot..Overall the wings are really good with a variety of different flavors..A MUST go for a wings fan!! read more

I have been to Buffalo Wing Factory a few times and the food has always been good. I know they say you don't write a review until something really bad or good happens. In my case it is the latter! I stopped in one Tuesday night and decided to grab a beer and some wings. The bartender, Stephanie, was immediately impressive. She greeted me with a smile and a menu. She then proceeded to tell me the happy hour and food specials. I will say since the last time I was here, they have stepped up their beer selection. They now offer an awesome variety of craft beers on draft and in bottles/cans, so I was a bit overwhelmed. Stephanie helped guide me through the beer menu and was very knowledgeable. I was looking for a Pale Ale or IPA and she rattled off all of the options without missing a beat. I finally decided to try the Heavy Seas IPA. It was a great choice! Now it was time for wings! It was Sampler night. Again, Stephanie was there to help navigate the 30-some sauces BWF has to offer. The wings came out in a timely manner and they were perfect! While the service has never been bad here, I never had such a great experience. Personable and knowledgeable staff definitely make or break a restaurant. This is a great casual dining place! Definitely the best wings in the Northern VA area. There is an amazing variety of wing flavors (30) ranging from mild to the super hot Flatliner. The 30 draft beers are awesome! With daily food and drink specials, their prices can't be beat! The service is wonderful, every server I have encountered has been energetic and polite. i didnt like the actual decor itself. i mean in what world is posters of the patriots and other random football teams considered classy? it was just bar food and i usually feel pretty heinous after that. but the act of eating it is pretty fun. i made the waiter bring me a salad, a sundae and french fries at the same time. he probably thought i was either dying tomorrow, high, or a complete idiot. there's also this stupid sauce called the flatliner that basically shoots through your entire body just in time to ruin your meal. i still stick to cluck u's! read more

We come to Buffalo Wing Factory in a big party about once a year when my family visits because my step-dad loves the chicken fingers. They have decent sauces and enough menu variety that folks with preferences other than fried/greasy chicken can enjoy. I would normally give 4 stars but on our most recent visit two things stood out as a strong negative. First, the wait staff seemed off, they were aggressive about bringing new drinks and removing plates which isn't really bad I guess but it was off-putting that they would bring a new drink when you had barely started into the one you have, everyone had two drinks in front of them at all times, one they were drinking and a full one with the ice melting in it. They also had some communication issues as the food runners tried to deliver our food to the other big party in the dining room, and then returned it to the kitchen before finally bringing it to us. The other problem, and this is the big one, is that since we last went to this location they have purchased THE MOST UNCOMFORTABLE CHAIRS IN THE WORLD. They are small, narrow metal chairs with a lumpy seat. An adult of any real size, like our large male guests feels like they are sitting on a hard, narrow child's chair, and regardless of a persons size they are simply uncomfortable, every member of our party complained about the chairs, especially near the end of our meal when the lack of comfort started to really set in and several of us stood up for a few minutes for some relief. They treat their regulars like family and are always happy to welcome in new diners and educate them them on the over 30 (i think) flavors of wings AND beers on tap. This place has the most over cooked and dried out wings ever. I go here often with my coworkers and have tried to like the wings but they are sooo over cooked and wayyy over priced. Well, the wings came out 10 minutes later over done like they had been refried. There was no way they could have possibly done well done crispy wings in only10 minutes. Went there this evening and got a basic salad and 5 chicken fingers. The quality of the food was good, however...my waitress had no idea about anything. When I asked about the salad and what type if lettuce they use, she had no clue. She confirmed they had iceberg and romane. I ordered iceberg and got romane. It was still a good fresh salad though, just not what I ordered and I didn't feel like being the guy to send it back, so I ate it. Also while I was ordering I asked about the differences with the chicken fingers, and bites. She didn't know expect the fingers were bigger pieces, so I went with that. Well, I shouldn't of. I wanted a boneless wing. I got a super greasy peace of fried chicken. 5 actually. I saw other people get there food and I felt like I ordered the wrong thing. I wish I would of just know the actual differences in the breading they do for the wings if more like what ya'd get on a piece if beer battered fish. Very flaky and a mess. Worth giving another shot, but disappointed in the servers knowledge of the menu. Yeah, this is my afterwork hangout and we go so often we know the menu and specials without looking at the menu. The wings really are good except there's less consistency on Thursday's because it's all you can eat wings and chicken fingers. The wings are very good, ask for extra crispy, can't stand soggy wings. There's a daily happy hour and special, the tenders are friggin huge, not really a tender but half a breast from what I can tell. Their hottest wing is the flatliner, good and hot, you have to sign a release and you get your name on the wall if you can eat 10 or something, only seen one guy try it. He stopped halfway and started starting at the wall while everyone was eggin him on. Very casual place, good food, drinks and prices. Sad but I can't comment on anything else other than the wings and tenders, I've never tried anything else & I've been there more times than I can count. It's a wings place for crying out loud. Btw, there's a Buffalo Wing Factory in Sterling and it's alright but it's pretty commercialized and the wings aren't as good.
