Luckily, there was an added room with one available table. It was given cafeteria style. The selection of food was okay for a buffet. This was one that is Asian driven, yet the fried rice took its time coming out. The Hibachi is not for those with an allergy or wish not to suffer from food poisoning. While my kid's food was being plated, the worker added chicken to the grill, whose juices started traveling to the already cooked food. The salad bar was weaker than my sister's knees. Who puts seeded grapes on a buffet? They were not even sweet. The ice for the soda was sitting out, so I covered it in one section. People were just dipping their cups in. Surprisingly good food for a buffet! We went on a Tuesday, and it was still pretty busy, but we were also a party of 8. Wasn't expecting crab legs on a Tuesday night, but they did have deep fried blue crabs that I went for thirds for. Pepsi was out of this world but the sushi was not great. Gf is picking my nose so it's hard to gather my thoughts. You will find the quality of dishes ranging from not very good to delicious, service is fine, bathrooms were clean but a big negative was no Dr.pepper or Coke. I would not suggest mixing the vanilla ice cream with the orange crush. Final verdict 6/10 I was very pleasantly surprised to find the buffet experience to be up to this standard in 2024 granted last visit to a buffet was in 2012. I would suggest this place to someone craving a buffet experience with low expectations so that you could find yourself pleasantly surprised when you find a dish that you really love. This has to be one of the best buffet place I been to! I'm from North County and all the Asian buffets in North County are either too expensive or terrible, or both. My parents were in town visiting before Onleave for Boston and they wanted to visit Las Americas outlet, so we ended up eating at this buffet place. This place is the best so far!! The area/ location is very scary and down right ghetto with metal bars on peoples homes.. I wouldn't recommend coming here at night, but lunch is okay and the food was awesome for a Chinese buffet. Even though all the staffs were Mexican instead of Chinese as one would expect, since like 99 % of the poeple in the area are Mexican but they speak English and worked fast to take away the plates. Found this gem and I was pleasantly surprised with their service, food and cleanliness. For the food, there were many stations to choose from. The main entrees included your traditional broccoli beef, orange chicken , mixed vegetable, fish and many more. They also offer a small but descent sushi roll/sashimi selection. Then there's a Hibachi, a soup section where they offered 5 different varieties. They have a dessert station. Overall, they have a wonderful selection of food that I'm sure anyone will enjoy. Got here at the right time. No one was in line but there were a lot of people sitting and eating. When we got seated and started eating, we looked back and the line was out the door. I had just walked in for the first time. Front lady was very nice! Just as soon as I had paid, me and my husband went to check to get a table, but then this lady stopped us and offered us two tables that were not occupied. We had first picked the booth and then we had saw that some people started sitting down. We then asked the lady if she could help us get another table and she re offered me the other one that was in between a post. I had said no I don't want to sit there. Then she said well you could have said it nicely not rude. So then I stopped following her and went to the front and asked for a refund. Ms. Mae is the supervisor and was very nice and helped us out. Though sometimes the sushi fish might be a tad too chilled and the presentation might not be the finest, this place stands above all other buffet locations I've been to for its cleanliness, even down to the reasonable restroom servicing. Staff is nice, they're quick to remove your plates, but the chefs at the Mongolian BBQ station tend to overdo it on the sauce, garlic and peppers; regular customers know to ask for them to go easy on the seasonings. Beverages (hot tea, instant coffee and sodas) are included in the price, making it a better value proposition than most. read more

This is my second review of Buffet House and the third time we've eaten there. Today my rating is lower because of one rude employee. Let me begin by saying I HATE to waste food. The first two times we were there, I noticed an area where you select your veggies and protein and take them to be grilled. Since everything looks fresh and appealing I decided to give the grill area a try today. I selected my items and moved over to the grill. There was a thin young man there (I'm guessing in his 20's) who glanced up at me as he was cooking some long things that looked like sausages. I waited about 5 minutes while he finished cooking them figuring he'd get to me next. He did not. When he finished cooking the sausages, he turned around placing his back to me and started doing something else. I waited another four or five minutes, gave up and just left the plate of uncooked veggies and chicken there and just got the food that is already prepared and ready. I hope management sees these comments and addresses this issue with the grill employees. This whole thing left a bad taste in my mouth and today's visit was not the five star experience it was the first two times. read more
