We stopped in a few months ago as we were having bug issues in our home. We caught a few of the critters, brought them in to be identified and were told that they were (baby) German cockroaches. Eek! We were guided to buy an insecticide and a sprayer and were given thorough instructions to eliminate the bugs. We expressed that we were tired of finding and killing cockroaches in our home, and the helpful staff member said: "Well, after you apply this, hopefully you won't mind finding dead ones." His comment was spot on; now the only cockroaches we see are d-e-a-d. I returned recently for an issue with the sprayer we bought. It was serviced and ready to go - at no charge - within 5 minutes. LOVE this place. I was paying my gardener to get rid of weeds that only kept getting worse and worse, but one stop here and I was able to kill the weeds myself for much cheaper, and without my gardener showing up with his leaf blower at 7 am. I discovered a little (OK really LARGE) termite problem in our back fence. I did some Googling to ID the exact pest, and the recommended solutions. The treatment seemed pretty straightforward. They do not sell these treatments at your big box lumberyard place. Now the choice was to buy the stuff online, or go to my friendly, neighborhood DIY pest control place. I'm all for supporting local business, and am also a bit impatient. I chose to visit Bug & Weed Mart, rather than wait around for an order to arrive. As expected, I got friendly, helpful advice. As was also expected, the prices for the products were a bit higher than what was online. Of course, you are paying for the aforementioned friendly, helpful advice, plus their operating expenses, etc etc. But -- yowza -- the prices were double what I found online! I went ahead and purchased there anyway, because, like I said, I'm impatient. My friendly, helpful advice is, if you are patient, and fairly confident in what you are doing, and want to save money, you might be better off doing some Googling and ordering online. If, on the other hand, you really have no clue, or just want to get the stuff fast, or want to keep it local, this is definitely the place to go. read more

If you're a hands-on, do-it-yourself type, then this is the place for you if you're attempting to rid of bugs, pests, and weeds. They have everything you need to rectify any bug/weed issues you may be experiencing. Their staff is always friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. With their guidance, usually providing you with a detailed instructional sheet, you'll be able to tackle your task at hand. I have used them to kill rats, termites, and cockroaches... all with positive results. As for weeds, they explain how to not only kill them, but they also set you up with a routine to prevent them from popping up again. I see another reviewer posted that the pricing was a bit high, but in all honestly, these are your top of the line chemicals/poisons that you won't find at big box stores. The stuff you buy at big box stores isn't as potent as what B&W Mart has available. So yeah, it's more expensive, but you'll get better results. Also, in the end, you're paying way less than you would if you had to hire an exterminator or landscaper to do the work for you. And even then, you may not get the best results (I've learned that exterminators tend to dilute their poisons). read more

My weeds are out of control and I've been noticing spiders setting up camp all over the place. Not cool. This is a small mom and pop specialty type shop that specializes in weed and pest control. They seem to carry better quality, stronger grade products than what I can purchase at the local hardware store. The man at the counter was extremely helpful and answered probably 1000 questions I had. He seemed very knowledgeable about the products they carried and how to properly use them. He gave me paper handouts for each of the products I purchased explaining exactly how to use them after he explained how to use them. With his help and advice, I am sure I can do it myself with no problem. Had I gone to a hardware store, I would've had a 50 / 50 chance of finding someone to help me that knew anymore than I did about weed / pest control. We would have probably been reading the labels together in the aisle (this was my experience last time I went to ace hardware for weed control supplies). I suppose you could pay less online for weed and pest control supplies but I feel that it was worth it purchasing it from this shop because of the help and advice I received from the man that helped me. read more

I will never return to this store. We went in this past Saturday (6/5/21). My wife made the mistake of asking the employee a question. His response was rude, condescending and unprofessional. When we asked a specific question about a product we were interested in purchasing he responded "read the label, why would you ask a fat guy in the store?" He then gave a condescending lecture on labels being around since the 1960s and the fact that people don't read them. We walked out without another word. We like to support local businesses rather than ordering on form the big online businesses , but we are happy to avoid this business. read more

Happened to stumble across this store as I was walking to my car from Dons cigar shop. I did go in and decided to look around. I was greeted by a friendly sales associate. He seemed very honest helpful and knowledgeable. He was not pushy at all. I will definitely go back when i need to get my spray for the yard. I have lived in my house for 15 years and never had a scorpion problem until this past June 2014. I started seeing several in my garage and kitchen. So I had a professional pest control service come and spray for scorpions. I called them back the second month since the problem didn't stop. Then by month 3 I was stung in the foot by a scorpion and was in so much pain. I started researching how to kill this insect myself and came across Bug and Weed Mart video on the internet. I went to the location on Camelback and visited with a gentlemen there. I purchase the indoor spray, the outdoor spray and the granules. I went home and sprayed the inside of my house and the outside of my house. I spread the granules as instructed. A day later I saw a scorpion, but it was DEAD. I sprayed 1 time, yes 1 time and NO more scorpions, as a matter of fact I didn't see anymore more spiders, ants or crickets, The professional bug service charged me $50 each time they came out ($100 bucks) and I purchased all my supplies for $150 dollars from Bug and Weed Mart.. Since that first spray I did myself, I have sprayed the house 1 more time after 6 months. Still no scorpions and no bugs..I have shared my supplies with several of my friends and guess what, they also have not had anymore problems.. I recommend doing it yourself and with the help of Bug and Weed Mart you will get the job done the first time. read more

I have a ant problem next to my outdoor trash can that they have consumed over 16 Lb of bait at this time and are still going strong. I got a recommendation of a product called Termidor from a family friend that does pest control for a living. I did a bunch of research on this online. I prefer to purchase from local vendors whenever possible. So I found this place online. When I went in the shop is small but very neat. The service was some of the best that I have had in a long time. I have to give extra credit to them as well when I described the problem the salesperson at the shop asked me if I had tried some of the cheaper products. Directing someone to something less expensive as a possible option is the sign of a business that cares about its customers. When I fully explained the issue he told me that the termidor product would work really well. He also make sure I understood how to use the product and how to avoid killing off bees that were not an issue. Once I have used the product I will update my review. read more

I noticed an increase of scorpions and spiders, since my neighbor had moved out and the house is vacant now. Went in and asked what I needed, service was very good, and knowledgeable.
