Buldogies... what can I say? I've driven by many times and always wanted to try this Gourmet Hotdog Shop. Finally made my way through the door on a Saturday afternoon. Now I'm kicking myself for not trying it sooner! The interior is cool and has some excellent Tombstone (movie) menu items, decor and references along with a killer Clint Eastwood Art piece. More seating than I thought it would have. The owners are great. Very personable and take complete pride in their business, service and food. The attention to detail and presentation are spot on. I was in the mood for a Chicago Dog and let me tell you, this one was excellent. The dog itself is huge, the bun is delicious and the condiments were fresh and oh so tasty. I got a side of Buldogie Fries and they were perfectly cooked. The basket in my picture only shows about a 1/4th of the order... I had chomped down a ton before taking the picture. So good. The menu is really full of options and unique combinations. Many selections if you happen to not want a hotdog. They also serve things like Funnel Cakes, ice cream, etc. I loved this place and highly recommend. The owner's passion is great to see as well. I will definitely be back soon.

This is just a really fun little hole in the wall. The variety of amazing hot dogs is through the roof and all of them are delicious. The Reuben-covered hot dog has to be tried to be believed and the pulled pork on top of another one was as good as many barbecue restaurants. Funky little bar that was packed and one of the best malts I've had in a long time. If you can handle the calories and carbs, this will be an experience you'll be talking about for a long time.

The food here was awesome. They gave a lot of great options and very unique names. The owners were very nice and work in the kitchen cooking. The atmosphere in the place was very relaxed and felt very "westernish" from the unique food names and the decor on the walls. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

This place was busy busy at 7pm on a Friday night, and the staff warned us it may be close to an hour before we'd get our food, but that wasn't enough to scare us away. Several at our table ordered the Wyatt Earp, and unfortunately they were out of that one, so our crew all opted for different choices. (Isn't the whole world out of sriracha right now?) I picked the Montgomery Texas and it was shockingly scrumptious. When reading the menu, you're wondering if the ingredients will go together, but in your mouth, that thought is drowned out by the flavor! Very impressed with the way they can dress up a hot dog and make it something worth going back for. The ambiance is a little kitschy but I can overlook that for a small business who is more focused on food rather than interior design. For sure worth a trip if you're in the area!

Very inviting staff and environment for hot dog lovers. You can tell the owners really care about their customers and the craft of a beautifully made hot dog. I will never not visit when I'm in town. 10/10 every time.

Update to my previous review, I got a response from the owner. He basically said I was "Staring" at them which was "awkward". What ? He blames me for seeing the filth on the floor because I came after a "lunch rush" . Nobody was in any " rush" to clean it up, apparently. As for the roller grill, he says they always used it. Maybe, but letting a hotdog turn into jerky and then serving it to a customer is still very poor performance. He refuses any responsibility whatsoever for any of my concerns . Typical. That's why the place is what it is. I've had that same experience with a few restaurant owners in the past. Watch "Kitchen Nightmares", 1/2 of those people are in denial as well. Raging Denial is apparently a possible side effect to owning a restaurant. If the guy responded to me even slightly apologetically , I would have revamped and changed my review score. Since he's blaming me for his poor performance, your 1 star review remains, Sir!

My family and I went to Buldogies after a day at the water park. Everything was EXCELLENT. From the moment we walked in the door we felt welcome. The hot dogs are absolutely delicious (I'm not typically a hot dog person). The fries were AMAZING. I love the way they grill the buns, and we absolutely loved the decor. Definitely don't walk past this little restaurant it has the cutest decor the menu is very clever but most of all the food was wonderful if you want a good old-fashioned hotdog or a really creative one with a twist this is your place they also have the good carnival type desserts which I look forward to try next time read more

Stopped here on our way back to Houston from Dallas. I can not stress enough how incredibly worth your time it is to sidetrack off I45 if you're interested in a great hotdog. Plus they have a lot of other wonderful carnival style foods that we sadly didn't have room in our stomachs to try but sounded amazing. We got the Chicago and North Carolina Dogs, along with their loaded buldogie fries and oh wow, so good. Would definitely return here and try some of their others if we get the chance. read more

My first time won't be my last! The North Carolina and Buldogie fries did not disappoint. Pulled pork, yellow mustard, onions, chili, and slaw all atop a delicious Nathan's dog and a bun that is fresh and delicious. The fries were crisp, hot and perfectly seasoned. The dog was the perfect amount of mess without being sloppy. I will be back for one of the hand dipped corn dogs that looked awesome. Dropped by after my daughters golf tournament. I will have to say one of the Best Chicago Dogs out there. Toppings with the pickle, pepper, tomato and green relish were on point! The bun was especially tasty. Warm grilled and chewy with a bit of sweetness like a Hawaiian bun. Daughter had the House Corndog. She loved it as well. Will have to try the strawberry funnel cake in our next trip to Conroe. 5 Stars! Great job! read more

Hot dogs, corn dogs, fries, tots, chili pie, carnival fun foods, fresh squeezed lemonade, this place has it all! I had the Wyatt Earp. It was topped with pork belly that I couldn't get enough of! We finished our meal with the fried banana split. My kids literally licked the plate. The ice creams were not typical. There was double vanilla, super chocolate with tiny chips, and a cheesecake ice cream. Amazing! There are so many items to choose from, too! These guys take dogs to the next level!!! read more

This hidden gem is a fun, Texas-themed, that has fun with their menu. From hand-crafted hotdogs (I recommend the North Carolina) and the Texas Tator Trio (someone who actually does sweet potato fries that are flavorful) to deep fried twinkies and Oreos and funnel cakes, shakes and malts. Great chili cheese Nathan's hot dog! I was in the mood for a hot dog on a great bun and didn't want one from a gas station. I had seen the hot dog sign from goin in El Bosque for breakfast. I loved the grilled, buttered bun and really loved the chili sauce!!! I want to try the hand dipped corn dog next and then the fries I read about. It isn't open every day,I know NOT Monday's. OMG - talk about greatness! This is a must come eat here place for comfort food. Their sweet tea is perfect not to sweet and not to unsweetened. Their tater tot pie is good and hot dogs delicious. I ordered the Sundance and the egg was cooked amazingly. I will be coming here again. The environment is so heartwarming and inviting. I love the music (country music). It's so clean and that's always a must in places I eat at. Overall this is a five star restaurant for me! read more

My wife woke up craving a hot dog, this morning (there's a dirty joke in there, somewhere, but I'll keep it 'family friendly'), however, besides me whipping out the grill, we knew of no place to get a decent dog around here. Turned to Yelp & REALLY HAPPY WE DID. BulDogies is fuggin' DELICIOUS! You can get any kind of hot dog you can imagine; seriously, they have a hot dog topped with a Philly cheese steak! We kept it real simple: 2 plain dogs, one chili w grated cheese dog & one dog w cheese sauce. You get your choice of a Nathan's dog (hot dog place in NYC, gone national) or a kosher Hebrew National dog. Being a former New Yorker, we went Nathan's. Plump, juicy, big ass dogs in grilled buns. Brought em home & smothered them in some spicy brown mustard & they're the bomb. So good. As if that wasn't enough, they also have the greatest tater tots & lemonade in the area. Pro-tip: Eat your tots @ the restaurant, on the way home or leave the to go lid cracked open. They're ridiculously delicious, but the steam from the heat makes them a tad soggy. Much better if they're hot & crispy. Bottom line: If you're craving hot dogs, you won't find a single place better than BulDogies. read more

Hotdogs with attitude is on spot for the description! Been coming here since we moved to the area 3 years ago. We haven't been disappointed yet! Doc Holiday is one of my favorites and always taste fantastic! Their menu is full of a little bit of everything and the desserts are OMG delicious! The owners Brie and Jamie always greet ya with a smile and a wave goodbye when ya leave. Their staff is always on point and cheerful too! If you love hotdogs with a twist then you gotta go here! I'm not quite sure why everyone loves this place so much? It's a hotdog--pretty difficult to mess that up. It's confusing to come in and try to figure out how to order too. And on top of that--when we were there it seemed really dirty, especially the floor. We asked for an over-easy egg to top it and got a hard fried egg. Then we were told, "that's over-easy", and that they weren't "fry cooks". Really? read more

Just wow. The staff here are super kind and helpful with the menu if you're a first timer. I ordered the Montgomery and chili dog with sriracha fries. Both were incredible and the food was fresh. They have mexican bottles cokes to buy, including Fanta. If you're in the woodlands or north Houston area def worth the drive up to Conroe!! This place would be a hit in the heights area or a late night food truck with the inner loop bar scene. Keep up the great work!!!! read more

Drove from Houston to try this place and see for myself how good it was. The food was absolutely delicious. I definitely recommend the Pale Rider. The sriracha fries were good as well. As for the owner, I had a chance to chat with him and he's the nicest guy. Charitable guy as well, gave free stuff to a local group to auction off while I was there. Finally got yelp and am able to leave a review for this wonderful place. There is not a single item on this menu that isn't delicious and cooked to perfection each time it's ordered. Jamie and Bri, the duo that own and run the restaurant are awesome and go the extra mile to be friendly and thankful to every customer. Deep fried treats are so decadent you'll find yourself wanting to order another one despite being so full. A must-visit for those in the Conroe/Montgomery area. read more

Hotdogs are crazy good!!! This place has a great group of people running it and shows true Texas hospitality. They gave us a piece of Buldogies bacon to try as we waited for our to go order and my mouth is watering again right now thinking about it. Tonight we tried a chili dog and the signature Montgomery Dog. The Montgomery Dog was awesome, the mix of BBQ and a hotdog was a good combination of flavor and very filling. The chili dog I am assuming was good because my wife finished it before I sat down. I look forward to trying the rest of the menu soon. FYI - get the crispy tater tots too. read more

Hands down, my #1 stop on the road when in the area!!! Good news, I'm in the area once a week!! Amazing comfort food! Amazing, unique recipes turn a simple hotdog in a culinary masterpiece! My husband and i decided too try this place out based on a recommendation we got. I AM SO GLAD WE DID. Great relaxed atmosphere and the owners/chefs were very welcoming. My husband got the Montgomery texas dog and it was very delicious with just the right amount of heat. I got a make your own dog with the bacon mac-n-cheese on it. Can you say amazing? We shared a trio basket that had fries and tator tots (both regular potato and sweet potato) they tasted amazing and were not greasy at all. To top off our dining experiance we has an old fashioned banana split. It was perfect and made me feel like a kid again. And if it couldn't get any better. BEST SWEAT TEA IN CONROE. It was a great price point and really nice to be able to have a wonderful meal with the family and not break the bank. We will definately be back. read more

I like this small business but let me tell you there is nothing small about their food. The food is always fresh and tasty and the owners are always going above and beyond. The fare is carnival/midway style with a hint of New York City and Chicago flavors. You come in, sit down, fill out your order ticket, pull your soft drink from the cooler and before you know it, you are staring into a basket with a huge hot dog, piled high with toppings, hot, fresh and delicious. Shakes, freshly made lemonade, cotton candy, warm pretzels, what more could you want? The cook wore gloves, used tongs and was not engaged in cleaning or cashiering while cooking. The first time i went there i was AMAZED how great the hot dogs were. i went there again a few days ago and Bri knew how to make the chili cheese dog the way i like it. They also have the fried Eclair an boy its AMAZING. If anyone ever goes to the Conroe area you have to go by there and tell them i sent you. its easy to get to from i45. You will love the food.
