Review: Inedible Food and Abysmal Customer Service Rating:…read more1/5 Stars I had an incredibly disappointing and frustrating experience at Shelby's in Oakville. I ordered the chicken shawarma with sides of salad and fried cauliflower, but what I received was completely inedible. The Food Quality * Burnt Cauliflower: The cauliflower was charred black like charcoal. It was so badly burnt that the bitter, burnt taste ruined the entire dish. * Poor Preparation: The salad contained massive, unchopped pieces the size of my palm. There was clearly zero effort put into food prep or quality control. The Service Experience When I returned to the store to show them the meal, the experience went from bad to worse. While one staff member began making a replacement, the manager intervened and--after a phone call with the owner--refused to provide a new meal or a refund. The staff actually began arguing with me, claiming their fryer is "timed" and therefore the food "must" be perfect. They essentially accused me of lying about the quality because I "didn't like the taste," despite the fact that I was holding charcoal-black vegetables in front of them. The Resolution It was only after a lengthy argument and my statement that I would involve the police to recover my payment for the inedible food that they finally issued a refund. To top it off, the manager made a scene and flatly refused to provide his name or the owner's name so I could file a formal complaint, eventually telling me to leave the premises. Summary: I have never been treated with such disrespect as a paying customer. Between the burnt food and the hostile management, I will not be returning. Save your money and go somewhere that actually values quality and basic customer service.

Not too bad for a place that doesn't specialize in this dessert but the texture could've been a little better. The top was shredded phyllo dough which usually equates to crunchy kunafa but it wasn't crunchy :( The taste was pretty good though! Personally, $9 isn't really worth it when you can go to smaller Palestinian bakeries and get the same portion and authentic quality for way cheaper. I liked that it was made fresh to order and came out pretty quick despite having a small rush. I would come back to try their food but wouldn't re order the kunafa.

Freshly brewed great taste , but it's well worth splashing out on if I fancy some caffetine based, self-indulgence and luxury. The staff is really nice, friendly and kept following . The coffee menu is great and there are many choices to choose from and they also offer quite a lot of small bites options to choose from.Pricing is decent, good value for money and the place is more suitable for a group of people.

The crispy gnocchi were coated in cheese curds and smothered in braised veal. What a combination. The gnocchi were not heavy, like others I've tried. They were lighter and absolutely deep fry-able. The veal melted in your mouth. Instead of gravy the jus from the veal did the trick. If you told me I'd be eating a gnocchi poutine last week, I would've said you were crazy. Apparently the Arancini is to die for. At least I know what I'm getting next time!

While at Celebration square on Canada Day, there were various food trucks, the likes of which I've seen a million times (fg, Smoke's, Per Se, Beaver Tails, etc.) but I had never heard of Frankie Fettucine. I saw they had 6 selections, which included a couple kinds of poutine (osco busco was one of them), bacon mac n cheese and sundaes. I decided to get the Bacon Mac N Cheese for $10 as I just had poutine earlier in the day. This was one of the best Mac N Cheese's I've ever had. The pasta seemed like it was hand made, the bacon was flavourful and the cheese, OMG!. This was not your normal cheddar cheese. I think it was Parmesan and it melted so perfectly. I have to say, this is one of the few food trucks I felt I got my money's worth. Verdict:: If I see them again, I will definitely give them another go and hopefully let me ride the bandwagon.

The food and drinks were delicious. I returned for more. Both visits, I drove from work in Mississauga over to Big Bam Burger. The first time was with my friend and colleague for lunch. I did another trip a couple of days later after work. It took half an hour from Mississauga to Oakville. It was a pleasant drive along highway 403. I had no problem finding the plaza and seeing the Big Bam Burger sign. I parked and walked in. I was greeted by the nicest staff both times. I've had the following items: - Oklahoma burger - Cheeseburger - Kale slaw - Fries - Pepsi zero My friend and I are similar when it comes to milkshakes. We both ask that the whipped cream be held. My friend got a vanilla shake and loved it. He told me that it was filling. The man let us know that it would take seven to ten minutes to make our meal. We found a table and sat down. He brought our meals to our table. It was such a nice gesture. The cheeseburger was yummy. The angus beef patties were delicious. It had lettuce, mustard, and tomatoes. It felt like the healthier burger, minus the cheese... haha! It was delicious. The potato bun was soft. The Oklahoma burger was awesome. It had pickles and sautéed onions. It was tangy and sweet. The angus beef patties were also yummy with the potato bun. The fries had the skin on. They were perfectly salted. We got ketchup, but we didn't need it. The kale salad was excellent. It was kale with coleslaw. It was crispy, and both tangy with a hint of creaminess. So good! This place had ice cream and floats. I have ordered the root beer float twice now. I got ice cream in a cup and a cold can of root beer when I got it to go. I paid with a credit card, which allowed me to tip. I put my root beer float together at work. It was excellent. It was creamy and cold. I got it again on my second visit and had it at the eatery. It was so good. Less work to enjoy it faster at this restaurant! I hope to return to get the orange Crush float next. I should give the chicken sandwich a try next time, too. (180)

I was very pleasantly surprised as the pork bone soup here is very strong, full of flavor, and reasonably priced as well. Located inside the Galleria Supermarket near the Oakville/Mississauga border, this restaurant is self serve in the same style as the restaurant in Ikea. Orders are electronically placed via a kiosk, the kitchen has a display and chime when your order is ready, and you place your tray back in a rack when you're done. Service was quick and the restaurant was very clean and spacious. The pork bone soup was piping hot, came with 2 types of side dishes, and the portions of meat, rice, and soup were well balanced. Definitely hit the spot and I'm looking forward to coming back and making this place my go to for pork bone soup

There is a menu with photos of each menu item and you select and pay for your order at the kiosk. When your order is ready, they will call your order number and you pick up the food at a small window. It was my first time there on a weekday lunch hour and the few tables that they had were also completely occupied. I had to try their pork bone soup as I think that is a good indicator of how good a Korean resto is. For a dollar more, mine came with small pieces of hand-pulled dough (totally recommend this). The soup was definitely on the spicy side, even though the menu didn't have a pepper symbol beside this dish (I wonder how spicy the spicier dishes are, the ones with the pepper symbol beside it). There were only 2 pieces of pork bone, which I felt could've have at least one more. The soup was piping hot and very flavourful, perfect for pairing with steamed rice. The 2 small side dishes were picked radish and sprouts. If you are by the Mississauga/Oakville border and want to enjoy a no-fuss lunch, come give Kim's Table a try!
