I had the grilled rainbow trout with rice pilaf it was delicious the fish so fresh and my husband had the wild turkey marinated pork chops his was equally as good. Our server was great she kept a close eye on anything we needed without having to ask. My husband secretly let them know it was my birthday brought out a comped chocolate cake with a candle and everything, so nice. We would go back and would highly recommend. Ate the salmon avocado salad. It was huge! The salmon was perfectly cooked. It had mushrooms but they were CANNED mushrooms!! Bluhhhhh. My friend ate basil tomato soup which was excellent. She also had black and blue salad. It was huge. The steak was a little chewy maybe they should and sliced in smaller pieces. The blue cheese dressing was thick and full of blue cheese. We've been to Bullfish for the last 13 years when we visit PF. This time was a total let down. It was cold and rainy outside temps in the 40's. The temp inside the restaurant was about the same. When we mentioned to our waiter he said it happens a lot it depends on the manager. People were dining with heavy coats on. My favorite dish, shrimp and grits were lumpy and not appetizing at all. The rest of the crew ordered chicken tenders which were standard fare, different from years past when they seemed like a substantial dinner meal. Overall $100+ for 4 person dinner ( without spirits) was not worth it. We were sadly underwhelmed and will not go back. Seems like management or something has changed because the atmosphere used to be a little nicer, now it's like a regular run of the mill eatery. read more

I had pecan-crusted grouper with mashed potatoes and spinach Maria (a type of creamed spinach, very good). We also tried the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. They were drizzled with a bit of balsamic vinegar, and were quite tasty. My wife had the pork chops, a Caesar salad, and the spinach Maria. Everything was excellent, the portions were so large we couldn't finish them (TWO large pork chops!). The decor is quite attractive, with an open kitchen that you can view on your way to the restrooms or the bar. We ate here recently and I am giving a four star rating only because we were not that hungry and chose salads only. The ambience is nice, softly lit, we were seated in the bar area [we were casually dressed]. Our server was a sweet, friendly girl who took very good care of our needs. I had the fried chicken salad with honey mustard dressing and it was a huge portion, and delicous. My partner had the strawberry salad with vinegarette dressing. He loved his as well. As an Active Duty Soldier I was offered a 10% Military Discount. When I tried to buy the Soldier and his family's meal sitting behind us (He just returned from combat 26 days ago) the waiter came back out and whispered to me that the manager had taken care of both of us!! I just about broke down in tears right there. When I got to the car I did.....my young children couldn't understand why Daddy was crying. I tried to explain what tears of joy were. Nice place with a good menu. Maybe it was an off day in the kitchen but everything was overcooked. My wife ordered ahi tuna and way overdone. My medium rare strip steak was med well. My wife sent back the tuna and ordered a streak rare. That too was overcooked. One of our friends did have a good dish with shrimp and grits at least. read more

An absolutely wonderful experience! The hostesses were very polite, the bartender was knowledgeable, and the food was superb. We got the oysters appetizer and it was perfect! My boyfriend got the salmon with creamed spinach (sooo good), and I got the Filet Mignon medallions, medium, with the famous cheesy grits. Our server was wonderful and stayed on top of her game. Amazing meal from start to finish! We were traveling with 3 kids under 10 and all enjoyed the meal. Order the fried green tomatoes and spicy shrimp as an appetizer! YUM! Hubs had the shrimp and grits for an entree and I had the blackened tilapia. Both were awesome! Cheese grits are a perfect side, as well. Meals are large and very satisfying. What a meal! I read the reviews for a lot of restaurants before we arrived in Pigeon Forge and this was the top restaurant on my list to visit. Let me start by asking a question... How does a place like this remain empty during a peak dinner time? I saw another Yelper mention the same thing, but during the lunch rush. We thought that maybe we would have to wait but we were instantly sat. There were maybe three other tables with customers and this place was super quiet. There was an appetizer that we were really excited for, fried green tomatoes. This was my first time to ever try this, it just does not exist on menus in Michigan or Seattle. There was feta cheese, along with a pico de gallo and WOW!!! It's a taste that was completely foreign to me and at first my palette was confused but then it craved more! I added a Bullfish Sirloin with a loaded baked potato. The sirloin was cooked to my expectations, my knife sliced so easily through it and it was so juicy. It was so good! Even the baked potato went above my expectations - a baked potato! I love potatoes and it's really hard for one baked potato to stand out when you've had so many in life, but they perfected it. My favorite part of a baked potato is the skin and more than often restaurant after restaurant over cook the potato and the skin ends up being this touch piece of leather, not Bullfish Grill's loaded baked potato. The potato was baked to perfection, the skin was just as soft as the inside and I could easy cut through it and there was no taste lost. It was loaded with enough toppings to allow you to still enjoy the potato itself instead of overloading it like many restaurants do, where you are eating more toppings than the potato. I had a strawberry lemonade for my drink and it too was very good. It was a very great food experience and I'm glad it measured up to and exceeded the reviews. Avoid at all cost if you're a decent person and try to be socially responsible. Way over packed and under staffed. I'm always very understanding as I used to be in the food service industry, but can't excuse terrible service and no visible management (unless you count leaning up against the bar chatting with bartender during dinner rush). We had the bartender Chris as our server. And I really felt badly for him, he and another guy had a full bar, full restaurant to make drinks for, and several tables (unfortunately for us, we were one of the tables). Drinks took long, appetizer clearly was not rang in, and the food was just ok. Nothing I would go back for. We felt like an inconvenience to the entire staff. The worst part was looking around and seeing some decent service for other tables, as most often for us, great service can usually overshadow mediocre food. Disappointed in the restaurants responsibility to keep the public safe while also being able to stay open. Everyone has to do their part and they are clearly not. Also need to train entire staff on customer service. It's lacking from hosts up to management. read more
