Eli at Bumblebee Battery was a great man to deal with in purchasing a new hybrid battery for my 2003 Honda Civic Hybrid. I just purchased this car about 6 months ago and it had a dieing battery with 130000 miles on it. I knew that purchasing a battery would be necessary but i got a really good deal on the car because the owner didn't want anything to deal with the hybrid battery portion because he had heard horror stories about $4,000 repairs. Working with Eli was a fraction of that cost way cheaper than dealing with a dealership directly. At first i found 9 companies that sell hybrid batteries in the United States. From repairing my battery to sending my a new upgraded battery pack. In deciding to use bumblebee Battery i had many tests that i ran on all the different companies to find out the amount of knowledge they knew about their product. Bumblebee Battery was quick to answer my questions and they answered them quick and thoroughly, making sure that i understood. Even though i already knew the answer it was nice to receive great costumer service. Then i was his website that impressed me. It is easy to navigate with it connected to a large facebook audience. Also when doing some digging on the website i found it to be ranked quite well for website SEO properties as well as reliability and page worth. Meaning they have put some effort into their company and it will probably be around for a good while. It was also easy to find his business and website license online to make sure that the are a legit company, some of the other companies are hard to find or do not exist. Bumblebee Battery was also very cordial in price, shipping, and warranty information which many companies could care less. The battery came and was easily installed. Any questions or concerns that i had with the installation or shipping was quickly answered by Eli personally. He really took the time to make sure that i felt safe and important. My wife has a 2002 Insight which had a dealer installed remanufactured battery that was installed June 2006. The IMA light light came on in August of 2016 so it delivered the normal expected life. After viewing the installation video from Bumblebee and getting a quote from a local mechanic I decided to do the job myself. We ordered it on Thursday at 5:30pm and it arrived at 10:30am Monday. The battery was even better packed than what the video showed. No bubble wrap, just dense foam blocks. You use the straps to remove the one that says "Remove" and then you can pull out the new battery and later drop in the old battery. As in the video you just use the tape that they provide and seal up the box after filling out the warranty letter. The return label is on a FedEx peel-and-stick label so it really can't be easier. The install was just as the Video shows and it did clearly mention the important steps where you need to pay attention, like where the torx bolts go since they do have the same thread as the hex head bolts. I took a couple of pictures while working but eventually realized that the video really did cover everything so the only install tip is to make sure you have a way to watch the video during the work and just keep stopping it and backing it up to make sure you don't skip anything. read more

I am deeply disappointed with the experience I had with Bumblebee Batteries. My battery replacement failed about one month after the warranty expired. Instead of addressing the problem or offering a proper investigation, they provided a canned response simply suggesting I purchase another one of their batteries. I've tried to keep the conversation going to find an amicable resolution and they stopped responding. The timing of the failure, right after the warranty expiration, raises concerns about the quality and reliability of their product. The lack of customer service and the company's unwillingness to look into the issue further has left me feeling undervalued as a customer. The suggestion to buy a new product without addressing the underlying issue is both dismissive and disappointing. Overall, my encounter with Bumblebee Batteries has been marked by complete disregard for customer satisfaction and a lack of willingness to address legitimate concerns. Disappointed in the time it took to receive my battery. Originally I was told 2 weeks but when it didn't show up I called and was told they were still on order and it would be another week. The battery did eventually arrive, but it was nearly THREE MONTHS after I placed the order. Not very professional on the phone or email. Emails took DAYS to be answered! They made me feel like it was MY FAULT for expecting the battery in the time they originally quoted. It seems Bumblebee only orders the parts for a battery AFTER you place your order. I should have researched more, as there are many other companies out there selling batteries - some of which actually have the product on the shelf. Do yourself a favor and look around beforehand. Installed the BBB in my 2001 Inisght last Thursday. If you have basic tool skills you can install the battery yourself in 2-8 hours. Enlist a friend to read the instructions to you and it will go faster. If you are not comfortable changeing an oil filter or changeing a tire then you may want to enlist a more skilled person to help you. Instructionds are 95% perfect. Could use an updating, few minor corrections and omissions and arrows would help. But other wise right on the money. BBB returned my deposit the same day that they rcvd the old carcass. I would recommend Bumblebee Batteries to anyone. We have gotten two batteries from this great company. Both times the batteries arrived in Montana in a timely manner. The installation was simple with their tutorial videos. One of the batteries malfunctioned around the time the three year warranty expired. Bumblebee honored their warranty no questions. My 2001 Insight got a new Bumblebee battery about 2 months ago. I'm in Portland, so got to meet with Ira and Haley directly. They are great to deal with. And, my mileage is back up to 60mpg from the low 50's for city driving. Can't wait to get it on a long steady freeway drive. Ira also let me know I had the wrong tires.
