Rear window was not tinted correctly on 2019 Audi A6. Technician tinted around third brake light, rather than removing plastic enclosure and tinting complete rear window. When I called to address the issue after comparing to many other vehicles exactly like mine (with complete tint on rear windows), I was told by manager that this was normal, and that if I wanted that area tinted they would have to remove headliner and charge an additional $199 for just the rear window. I then called the Audi (San Diego) dealer and spoke to a technician (Robert) who told me that removing the third brake light enclosure is simple with the right tools, and that it is normal procedure when tinting rear window on this vehicle. I further verified this online through Audi forums and on multiple YouTube videos. Manager lied to me and did not take responsibility for his shops lazy, mediocre work. Whether this was just a lazy installer or a mistake, a shop manager should at least offer to have a look at the issue, which was not offered, despite me telling him I had pictures i could send over. If you go ANYWHERE else, you may not get the QUALITY repair I got. Took in a 2024 Lexus IS300 (900 miles on it) factory color "Caviar" (metallic black). We got a gouge in the rear bumper on the corner from a hit and run in a parking lot. Brandon handled the repair explaining EVERY step of the process to repair. Fill the gouge, sand and feather it out, repaint that area with perfectly matched paint and then clear coat the entire rear bumper facia (off the car). It is exactly as new and you cannot tell anything was done. He was very up front, honest, accommodating and responsive. I will go NOWHERE ELSE for repairs and he was less expensive than other repair facilities. And "less expensive" doesn't mean "cheap". It only took 9 months longer, every time I came to pick up on a scheduled date it wouldn't be done. Waste of my time and gas. This time just wasn't the same customer service, specifically Brandon. His father is awesome, and I have always had a good experience with him. He is fair, respectful and understanding. I finally got it back, done the best I'll get it at this point. The front dash pad was pulled up and torn at the anchors. This pad was brand new. Instead of removing the pad as explained, it was pulled up to spray. So in reality the entire front dash was never painted. Some runs in the door jams. This is just a small list I'll share here. He discussed with me regarding all options and explained to me that if there is no "line" the little dip will not spread and there is no risk of cracking. Like so many others, I had a great experience with this shop! I had a small star/chip in my windshield (under the size of a quarter). I made an appointment and in under 30 minutes after arriving, I was out of there. A couple things to share. First of all, the customer service is top notch. When I got there, it was explained to me that the repair is a filler. This means I'll still see the tiny chip but it's filled in and feels completely flat after repair. Beforehand I could feel the chip. Secondly, it was explained to me that there was a very small chance that the whole windshield could break during repair and if it happened, I'd have to pay to replace it. Yeah, kind of scary. But I felt like if I didn't get this chip repaired, there was a greater chance of needing the whole thing replaced anyway. The gentleman told me that this rarely happens, though, and I was their 7th out of 8 chip repairs that day and all went perfectly. I would visit BumperDoc again and recommend them. Bumperdoc Santee was a disappointment. I was referred there by a friend that had a previous good experience. Took my car in, left it, went to get it (45 minute drive) when they said it was ready. It was terrible, paint didnt match, runs and dirt in the paint, overspray under hood, just second rate work. They said "sorry" we will fix it so I left it. Came back when it was done, they cleaned up under hood, paint still didnt/doesnt match, fisheyes in paint. $2000 bill. Sent them an email asking for help, no response. I had to pay to have it done right elsewhere. So I paid twice for one job. Beware, or lower your expectations, maybe they were good at some point, but they are atrocious now.
