    Pork soup dumplings

Bun World is ok. It wasn't super busy when I got there but there are plenty of to-go/pick up orders being prepared. You browse the menu and order on your phone by scanning a qr code. You also have the option to pay your bill through the same website when you finish eating. I ordered the spicy tofu skin salad and the pork xiao long bao. The spicy tofu skin salad was fine. The spice level was tolerable but there was far too much cilantro for me.. and I usually like cilantro. The pork xlb was good. Not good to the point where this would be my go-to spot for xlb cravings, but good in the moment.

I was really hyped about this place but unfortunately it wasn't all that. Location is really small, QRC in order to access the menu and unfortunately the menu failed to describe each menu option so this made it somewhat difficult on deciding what to order. We eventually decided on the vegetarian fried rice, chicken burger, assorted pan fried buns, xiao long bao, spicy wonton in red oil. The Lightening Chicken Burger, the chicken patty was fried in a panko type breading and it was delicious. The bun was a bit dense and firm (I expected a soft bun). The lettuce was wilted and the tomato sliced thinly. I got a very small dollop of mayo, about 10 fries and no ketchup. I probably would not order this again. The Spicy Wonton in Red Chili Oil was probably my favorite. The red chili oil was not spicy and had a nice vinegar/soy sauce flavor. The wonton were nice and hot and flavorful. The Veggie Fried Rice was pretty good. It had a nice flavor and served hot. It had frozen vegetables tho. The Xiao Long Bao were pretty good and served piping hot. You put it on your spoon and poke a small hole for the broth to leak out and eat it off the spoon. The assorted pan fried pork bun were good, but way too much dough. The restaurant uses the cheapest napkins known to mankind...lol and very frugal when passing out napkins. (All napkins are kept behind the counter) Overall the restaurant was clean but the food was not spectacular and would not come here again. The server never came by to ask if we needed anything. This restaurant is located in a strip mall and plenty of parking is available.

Cleanliness - restroom needed work and there were gnats flying around where we had to swat away to protect the food and eat. Ambience - needs cool air and music. It was dead quiet. Service - nice but awkward. Food - cool concept and options. Decent portions. Price point - fine dining price for casual experience.

Came with my girlfriend's meetup group. 7 of us for Sunday brunch. They open at 10 so we arrived around 9:45 and were pleasantly surprised that the staff opened the door and allowed us to sit inside and peruse the menu when we arrived. Nice touch. All ordering for table service is via QR code cards on the tables. This would probably have worked better if we were all paying together. Unfortunately we were all paying separately and when one person would add an item it would appear in all the carts at the table. Frustrating and challenging to navigate. I would have greatly preferred the option to walk up to the counter and order in person, but Bun World is not set up that way. There's also a kiosk but that is only for to go ordering. Quite a few items weren't available so they're grayed out and won't allow customers to click on them. I'd estimate 20 % of the menu was not available. Our orders were jumbled, likely due to the QR ordering confusion. This was exasperated by the server who had something of a language barrier and struggled to communicate effectively in English. Overall the food was fair, prices were reasonable for the non cartoon shaped items. The shaped items were cute but pricey in my opinion. My girlfriend ordered the Chinese hamburger but it was too spicy for her. I have a much higher spice tolerance and found it fine. It looked like it had Jalapeño peppers chopped up inside which would explain it being too hot for my girlfriend. She also tried 3 types of dumplings. She had a strong preference for the soup dumplings. I tried both and didn't notice much difference in taste. I ordered fried rice with egg and shrimp. I was expecting more egg when it's called fried rice with egg and shrimp. So I was disappointed that it had what seemed like a normal amount of egg and shrimp. The fried rice tasted good. For dessert I tried the sesame buns. They were filled with red beans and were lightly sweet. They were my favorite item from the ones that my girlfriend and I ordered. All told, I don't think that I'll return. Nothing bad, just not much good and the awkward and difficult ordering process combined with the server confusion left me feeling meh overall.

Pricing is normal for a dumpling place, good indoor seating, & quick service. Fun, unique, PHOTO aesthetic dumplings BUT just average tasting overall. Came once and wasn't impressed enough to come back. But still a good place for a quick dumpling run if that's what you're looking for.

Tried out Bun World today and it was decent. You do get a fair amount of food for the price, so it's worth a try! My hot takes: Egg rolls: 5/5 Fried Rice: 5/5 Popcorn chicken: 5/5 Curry Bun: 3/5 - always willing to try again! This place was PACKED today especially during the lunch rush, so keep that in mind when you go!

I decided to try Bun World for the first time because the place I initially wanted to eat at next door, M Joy, was too busy. Unfortunately, now I understand why this place is empty. Walking in, it was incredibly hot....in the middle of winter. I asked if I could have 4 bowls for sharing, and the staff told me to grab them myself. That would have been fine, except the only bowls available were tiny, dusty, and sticky. Other reviews mentioned cleanliness issues, and I saw it firsthand. That's definitely not a good sign. On the positive side, I liked the QR code ordering system; it was simple and convenient. More places should implement this. Now onto the food: -Shenzhen Bao - Tasted fine, nothing special. -Hot Sour Cucumber - Good. -Scallion Pancake Beef Rolls - Soggy and clearly undercooked on the pan. -Noodle Soup - Good tasting, with a nice clear broth. -Pikachu-Looking Bun- Very doughy; they use mantou-type bread, which didn't work for this burger As others have said, these are fine-dining prices for mediocre taste and tiny portions. If the restaurant is gonna keep the heat on full blast and the food is going to be this mid, they should consider lower prices. Overall, I won't be coming back. The empty seats next to a busy M Joy speak for themselves.

Drove all the way from San Diego to try this place Anaheim since it popped up on my Instagram. Bun World... what a great place to eat Bao Buns. We went on a Saturday, lots of parking and we got seated right away. You order straight from your phone with their QR code and a few min later the food is delivered to your table. We ordered the Popcorn Chicken, Kirby Bun Chicken Sandwich, Labubu Bao Buns (had red bean paste inside) and Hello Kitty Bao Bun filled with Taro. The food was great, worth the drive if you are coming for a day trip to Anaheim. Ambiance is normal like any small business, bathroom and everything clean.

Pork bun is very tasty! Beef noodles and shrimfried rice are also very good. We'll be back to also taste their sesame balls.

Yum, the service is fast, and the designs are fun! I love their potstickers, especially with the soup inside the dumplings.

It was really hot inside, but turns out the ac was out because a repair person was fixing it while we were there so it got slightly cooler by the end of our meal. You scan a QR code and place your order. The flavor of the food is pretty good: Juicy pork and shrimp dumpling 4/5 Pan fried pork bun 4/5 Beef xiao long bao 3/5 Popcorn chicken 2/5 Shrimp fried rice 5/5 Chocolate bear bun 4/5 Popcorn chicken was mostly good, but the last big, juicy piece was raw! Just sitting here praying we didn't eat any other raw pieces and don't get sick. The one guy helping us/serving was nice. However, I went to use the bathroom after my meal and when I opened the door, a staff/cook was using the bathroom and didn't lock the door! So yea, I walked in on a dude peeing! Gross! Overall, the place can use a good wipe down. The flavor of the food is good, but they gotta make sure chicken is cooked properly. The staff needs training on locking bathroom door when in use. I wanted to give 4 stars, but unfortunately it's gonna have to be a 3, for now.

Friken amazing. Everything was out of this world. Never been here and stopped since we were in the area. Great choice. My favorite was the won ton soup. Dumplings soooo flavorful cute pikachu chicken sandwich bun

The pan-fried dumplings were good and satisfying, but the service was a bit slow. Overall, it was a solid spot, though nothing really stood out as exceptional. Worth a visit if you're in the area!

The beef bao is okay. Mom would like to have tried pork instead, but I can't eat it.

Do the cute character buns sell out quickly? We were planning to go to dinner tonight with a group of friends and I noticed in the "order online" website that the character buns are all sold out except for the piggy.

Lisa, you can bet on that they'll sell out fast due to the cuteness factor. I don't choose food on cuteness factor at all. LOL. A lot of folks do though pick on presentation and cuteness.

Parking was easy, no wait to be seated on a Thursday evening and service was prompt and also checked up on us throughout the meal. Szechuan eggplant - so yum, arrived piping hot, it was coated in a super thin breading first before being fried and then coated in the Szechuan sauce. Slightly spicy, tangy and sweet, the classic Szechuan eggplant. Fish with veggies - loved how light but flavorful this dish was. Tender fish filet with garlic and a bunch of veggies, doesn't look very flavorful but it was very good! Would get again as a lighter dish compared to the others. Garlic pork - 魚香肉絲 this is typically my favorite dish in Chinese restaurants and saw it titled similarly in the menu but realized it's not cut into 絲 and it included celery, which the dish typically does not include. Not complaining though, the flavor was still great and I loved the dish, just different than what I expected. Sesame chicken - similar to orange chicken but without the orange flavor. Came piping hot and had good pieces of chicken within the breading. Sweet and sour, liked the flavor alot. The dishes came with rice! Would totally come back again to try the other dishes. Happy to find a local spot where I can get Chinese food as there are not too many options around here.

My husband ordered the seafood boil style shrimp. We also ordered extra egg rolls for appetizers. The egg rolls came out instantly! They were soggy and cold. Did not come with any dipping sauce either. The chow mein had a shrimp taste to it, a strong shrimp taste! Very turned off by that. The kung pao chicken was "ok" there were more vegetables than chicken. The seafood boil style shrimp was TERRIBLE! Had very little seasoning, hardly any sauce and came lukewarm. Yuck on many levels. The service was just as bad as the food. Never checked on us ONCE or even spoke to us for that matter, after taking our order, other than to give us the bill. Rude as hell. Really pissed at the friend that recommended this place. Hoping I can spare some of you the trouble and wasted money. It's trash. Would never come back.

Fountain drinks are self-serve, and they also offer canned and bottled drinks. The veggie dishes, fried rice, and noodles are delicious. I highly recommend the spicy wontons. Their dim sum options aren't the best I've ever had, but their other menu items make up for it. [Parking]: Free parking in the rear and the parking spaces are shared with Hyatt House and Walgreens. [Amenity & service]: Small space with both indoor and few outdoor tables. A restroom is available. Our party waited approximately 20 minutes for the food even though the restaurant was only half full. [Menu]: Yelp's top highlighted items are Kurobuta Pork Soup Dumplings, Braised Beef Noodle Soup, and Pan Fried Pork Dumplings. *** Kurobuta Pork Soup Dumplings (6 pieces - $13.50): The skin was a bit thicker than I had expected and the broth had an average flavor. Steamed Chicken & Corn Dumplings (6 pieces - $13.00): I should have read the menu more closely as these steamed dumplings contained corn and I certainly wasn't expecting this ingredient. They tasted alright. Shrimp with Pork Siu Mai (6 pieces - $12.50): Ironically this appetizer order was probably the best of the three, but damn hefty price tags for 6 small pieces of pork siu mai. *** 3-star for the food but bump down due to (1) the food took a long time to prepare (20+ minutes) despite this being a fast-casual restaurant and (2) the portions were small relative to the somewhat expensive prices. This is the most disappointing restaurant I have experienced out of all the restaurants I have visited that are part of the Chubby Group.

I came with one other person and we decided on the 3 people dinner set which included eggrolls, choice of soup, broccoli beef, orange chicken, chow mien, and choice of rice. Before our food came out the nice waitress brought us complementary fried wontons and sweet & sour sauce to munch on. It was a great start to our meal. The eggrolls were vegetarian. And for my soup I got the hour & sour which was really nice and comforting. The person I came with got their egg drop option which they enjoyed. For rice we went with the fried rice option instead of just white rice. It was on the blander side but we dressed it up with some table soy sauce. The chow mien was good but the texture of the chicken in it was a little odd. We still chowed down on it though. The beef broccoli was probably the best thing there. It was so flavorful. The orange chicken were very large pieces. The sauce on it was good. We were blown away by how much food we got and ended up having a lot of left overs. Our entire meal was priced slightly below $50. What a great deal! Our waitress was super nice and food came out quick. She made sure to check on us. The inside of the restaurant is casual but spacious.
