Food 9/10 Service 7/10 There's always Line/wait. But its worth it. We went twice for their kebobs. the Beef Bihari just melts in your mouth. We order Mix platter kebob the second time with puri parata it was an excellent choice. The chicken tikka wasnt mixed well with spices, gave me a bad tummy. If you request spicy tikka, in that case they prolly just bruch liquid Red chilly powder on the top. So chicken tikka kinda disappointed me. Service is quit slow given how crowded it is. This was a pretty amazing experience. Like lots of brown people in the midwest I've been a longtime observer of things on Devon (including working up there for a couple years), and this is a standout. It is very rare to find a restaurant that really specializes in grilled items and so far as I can tell, actually uses charcoal. That one element makes a major difference in the quality and flavor of your grilled dishes, particularly in adding the smoky flavors that define BBQ traditions around the globe. I had a single order of the lamb boti: amazing. Has to be one of the best grilled lamb dishes I've had anywhere. It was amazing how soft the lamb was despite cooking on such high heat as one does on a grill. But there are several things about this place that are exceptional in addition to that. The service and dining room are both excellent. It has been hard at times to find places on Devon that really offer a proper dining experience, especially in service. The dining room is comfortable and well lit. I came alone, but I would love to come back with a crew: I know they would have a really nice time. One thing that really blows my mind is their offer of standard grilled items like filet mignon, etc. For a restaurant in this part of town that's really something: they've truly owned their identity as a restaurant specializing in the grill and let that push them to expand their menu in a way that's pretty surprising. The place started off being excellent. Over the years the food quality and taste is just not there any longer. For the last 2 times we have been there Chicken Karahi dishes were not cooked enough. Nice food and service. Servers are watching you like a hawk so you don't have to ask for anything twice which is always nice. Quite a long menu so you can order a lot of things. Karahis and grilled items are great. We tried Truck stop Chicken Karachi and Kashmiri Chicken Karahi. Seating area is also nice. Now what needs improvement. Parking is a problem (general Devon problem) but it adds to the experience. Also no salty lassi. Please have lassi without sugar for those avoiding sugars. what a gem of a restaurant. the ambiance is amazing- it feels as if you are in a cleaner, modern version of the motherland, without losing the authenticity and true vibe of such. the food was INCREDIBLE. my family and i entered the restaurant after a long day of fasting, and were immediately greeted with a refreshing roohafza drink as well as scrumptious samosas. we ordered malai chicken boti, beef seekh kabab, as well as daal (lentils) and rice, with plenty of chapati and naan. it was the best food i've had in chicagoland to date. incredibly delicious with every bite, so fresh and fulfilling. we also tried a new item secret off-menu item (chicken cheese haindy) that was out of this world! should definitely become a staple on the menu. the best part of all was the awesome service. the owner of the restaurant personally stopped at our table to see how we were enjoying our meal. can't wait to go back! read more

Service took a long time for waiter to take our order. Waited 30 min to get seated. Food was okay. Ambiance- very loud.

Chicken Entrees were drowned in a pool of oil, with bits of bones in every bite of chicken. We ordered the chicken bone in, thinking it was wise choice but it was not! Every bite of chicken contained little crunchy bones that made the chicken unbearable to eat. We got a beef kabob dish called beef Bihari that our server recommended, which appeared to be shredded, day old beef lacking flavor. The texture was off putting. Service was slow, we asked for rice and didn't receive it until 20 minutes later. After finally obtaining the rice, a strong odor of cloves hit my nostrils, rice wasn't very tasty. Although I understand this is a Pakistani restaurant, when I asked if they serve butter chicken, I was told they have something very similar, which upon receiving it looked and tasted nothing like butter chicken at all! It tasted like it contained 3 ingredients, chicken, oil, and cream. On the flip side, the butter naan and the samosas appeared somewhat authentic and tasty, alongside the mango lassi. I don't like to be harsh on restaurants, but I believe this meal was an absolute disappointment of a meal on a Friday night. Additionally, when we told the server the food wasn't our favorite, we were told this is how it is, and that the lack of flavor and texture was a part of this traditional dish. Vibe was mid. We ordered the lamb karahi, aloo bhindi along with nan. The nan were not good. We ordered the plan nan, garlic nan and onion nan. They almost seemed undone and all tasted the same . The lamb karahi was pretty good however there was very little meat in the karahi. It was fresh and had a great taste, I just wish there was more meat. And lastly, the aloo bhindi was horrible. Filled with oil. The bhindi was soo tinybloke it came out of a can or something not sure. Not a fan at all. This place is so good!! Definitely our new favorite place in Little India. The food is fresh and beautifully prepared. Large portions. Staff is friendly and you can tell they appreciate your business. Ambiance is nice and all staff wear their masks correctly (or at least they did when we were there). Even the bathrooms are clean (and they have Eastern & Western methods of cleanup there if you catch my drift). We tried: -mango lassi - chicken malai boti roll - beef bihari kabobs (2 skewers) - Kashmir karahi chicken - garlic naan - paratha Everything was delicious. My fav was the boti roll. The combo of smoky, tender beef with refreshing and zingy salad is to die for. The Karachi chickens are a must try. I can't believe the 1/2 portion comes with enough chicken to feed a family of 5. I can't imagine how big a full order is. I love that they focus on grilled items so the menu is relatively simple. Came to Bundoo RIGHT before my flight as my last meal of Chicago and it was worth it! We waited outside as the store opens late for lunch. The server was very sweet and seated us and quickly gave us water on this hot day. We ordered the Highway Karahi, Mixed Grill with assorted naans. SOOOO GOOD!! I can literally sit there and eat this all day. The karahi is full of flavor - not too spicy where your mouth is burned but it's good where you actually feel the Smokey stir fry of the chicken emulsified with the spices. A high 5 stars to this haven of authentic Pakistani cuisine. This is in my opinion the best Pakistani restaurant in Chicago! I have dined here many times. In my most recent order, I had the following items for takeout: Mixed Grill- came with two chicken tikkas, seekh kebabs, malai boti. The chicken tikkas were very well seasoned and grilled to perfection. The seekh kebobs maintained their moisture even after grilling, thus there was no hardening taste as there might be with over cooking. The malai boti was not overly seasoned and retained the creaminess that should be there once cooked. Amazing packing and presentation with cucumber onion salad and yogurt and tamarind sauces on the side! The naan and paratha were both soft and authentic and reminded me of the days of Pakistan as a kid. Lastly, I usually order one of the karahis (wok fried currys), but this time I decided to try the Chicken Zinger burger. This is essentially a fried chicken sandwich just to another level. The spices were amazing balanced, and the breading to meat ratio was better than what would one might see at American fast food restaurants. Any chicken sandwich on the market would give you over crisp and breading, but not this one. The zinger sauce which I would say comes close to buffalo but not quite was a great addition to the burger. This place has never disappointed me! Oh nothing like this place that I have had! Those kebabs are mouth watering and sooooo juicy.. I remember the first time I walked into this restaurant and was blown away with the aroma! But it was so packed that I didn't get seated but swore to drive back all the way from Indy "Just for this" and I did!!! And oh! I did not regret it one bit! I ordered food for carry out from this place. I got combo grilled platter with puri paratha and Kashmiri kadhai chicken. Both of these dishes were delicious. I made sure to say spicy for grilled platter and the spicy-ness was just perfect. It enhanced the taste. My favorite was the kebabs from the platter. The kadhai chicken(Kashmiri) was also really delicious but I would say next time dine-in would be a better choice to for this dish. Very conveniently located on the corner of Devon and Maplewood this place is a must visit. We ordered their mixed grill meat platter, Kashmiri chicken karhai, puri parathas, and butter naan. All of the items were delicious but the Beef bihari in the mixed grill platter and the karhai were just boombastic! Puri parathas and naan were good sized and very fulfilling. Overall it was a great experience with Imran Khan taking good care for us. The service was on point, the restaurant is very well kept with good seating arrangement, great overall cleanliness, and clean restrooms situation which typically is a challenge in desi restaurants. The service was almost overly attentive, multiple servers checking on us frequently. Most memorable, delicious dishes that night were the Beef Samosas, Garlic Naan and the Kashmiri Chicken Karahi. When we went to leave a tip, a man (we were told his name was Atari) was standing behind us and said "Dafa Ho Jao" under his breath, basically meaning "get lost" For some reason he didn't expect us to understand, which means he was being discriminatory. Showed up pretty late to a busy restaurant on Saturday night with 9 people who were visiting out of state. Wanted to make sure they visited the best of Chicago. The restaurant was able to get us in with a 20 minute wait which considering how busy it was, was not so bad. The cashier/hostess was very nice to accommodate us. Note: They had to split our party into 5/4 due to covid but that is understandable due to regulations. We were still side by side. The food was excellent and definitely lived up to its reputation. My first meal when in CHICAGO!!!! Actually this gem is a must when in Chicago. Bundoo Khan is one the best bbq places for Indian/Pakistani dishes. Every time we have visited we have never been disappointed. The chicken is flavorful, the kebabs are not dry. Their highway chicken karahi priced at 33 is more then enough for almost 3 people. It's one of their most popular dishes and the spicy level is on point. Food is always fresh. My personal favorite is the malai chicken roll. We also ordered two naans and the total was around 60 dollars. Give it a try and you won't be disappointed. Serve is a bit slow but take into consideration that it is a busy place. read more
