As you likely remember we were still dealing with the dreaded pandemic back then. Belleflower has preserved through that and blown every expectation out the water. You could easily make an argument Belleflower is one of the best if not the best brewery in Portland and Maine in general. They nail the IPAs and all variations of them but also can do every other style very well too! In particular for this celebration of their 5th anniversary they released a fruited sour aged in barrels for around 5 years and a double dry-hopped DIPA and both are incredible well made beers! They almost always have a food truck option nearby including a fan favorite of mine, Ironclad Eats! Today they had Smokin Dads BBQ. If you are a beer lover living in or visiting the area you must visit Belleflower! You will have friendly staff welcoming you and will taste some world-class beers! The space was warmed by, a variety of plants throughout the space. The ferns are huge and amazing. There is indoor seating and outdoor seating accessible by large garage doors. The staff were very nice and friendly, and offered their opinions on which beers our group would enjoy. They had a large sampling of IPAs, pale ales, lagers, and sours. Our group tried the Austin Street Lagers, Obsolete Vernacular- a mango ale. and a fox street ale, and enjoyed all of them. If in the Portland area. this is a must !

If you were unaware Austin Street found their start with their original location in Industrial Way Portland area alongside lots of breweries in the area. I believe my first visit and taste of their beers was around 9 or 8 years ago. Once this location opened up it became the go-to for visiting Austin Street as it's updated and honestly nicer. I enjoyed their first location but let's be real this space is more unique and larger! Been to this spot many a times including earlier today. They still have an industrial feel to the place but have so many plants all around to brighten the spot up. Inside while beautiful I must say the true highlight is during warm weather with their large garage doors open. It also adds tons of additional seating to enjoy the weather too! Staff is always so friendly and ready to pour your drink with a smile. Beer wise they have a large variety including IPAs, pale ales, lagers, and sours. Including a special release each year made for International Women's.For non-beer drinkers don't fret, you can find wine, ciders, seltzers, cocktails, and plenty of non-alcoholic options. They also offer some snacks and frequently have food trucks/carts serving as well. With a lot of events scheduled too, including today that was a Summer Puppy Pool Party so as you can tell they are dog friendly. One of the many amazing breweries in this area of Portland. Since my initial review over 7 years ago I have likely visited Mast Landing OG location over 100…read moretimes. This was definitely one of the first breweries I frequented often. For a while I did not miss a single new release. While I may not come here as often I still would recommend it as a must visit brewery in Maine and one of the best in the greater Portland area. Their taproom has grown in size by a lot since my first review, as they have moved the brewing aspects elsewhere. They have also since opened two other locations, first in Freeport then in South Portland. Thankfully my favorite beer from them is still their flagship beer called Gunners Daughter. It's a low ABV (5.5%) peanut butter milk stout. Mind you despite being a peanut butter stout they do not use nuts so those who have those allergies can still have it. It's even more popular now that they have hosted special Gunners Daughter days with special variants released for years now. Including yesterday during our most recent visit here. They even released for the first time a Double Barrel Aged Version at 18% that tasted so good! They do a huge variety of style beers though with lots of IPAs available plus lagers, sours, stouts, porters, and more! Check this place out if you are a beer lover! They do also have options for those who are not beer lovers too though. Also they frequently have food trucks. Always had friendly service with a smile during every visit!

Signage is clear, handicapped access, with an industrial decor with artwork of forest animals. Two sitting areas in this tasting room, close to the pours and in the back section which offers games such as darts and cards. Close caption TVs as well. Electric stove with charger may sitting area amidst tables and chairs. Great selection of crafted beers for all kinds of tastes. I've been a Gunners fan since their inception so I went with the flight of Gunners Daughter; Nitro, Imperial, Fudge, and Pumpkin spice. Nitro is the original and even though the imperial cost a dollar more for the pour, it's still the best. The Imperial left no impression on me at all, not worth the up charge. The Fudge did have a heavy chocolate presence as did the pumpkin spice. Husband had the Champ American Lager which was lighter. He enjoyed two mugs worth.

First of all the place is very cool! There are pinball machines and they even had a FIFA soccer area for the kids to play soccer in. They also had Jenga and cornhole. Anything that keeps my kids entertained while I enjoy a flight is a plus for me. We visited Shipyard twice and each time I got a flight. I loved trying all their beer! From their original beer, to their summer ale, to their blueberry, watermelon, and beyond, everything was quite delicious. The bartenders were very very nice and offered tastings of anything I wanted to try. They also have food available and the pizza was very good. I really enjoyed visiting Shipyard and of course I had to bring some souvenir glasses home. I'll definitely visit again when I'm up in Maine.

It's cozy, inviting, very family friendly, has a lovely patio space, full food menu, a dozen beers on tap as well as n/a, cider and wine, as well as cans for takeaway. There's a reason why Allagash became, and remains, Maine's brewery gold standard. Many breweries make good beer, many breweries have fun spaces, but nobody has it perfected like Allagash. While visiting several other breweries, we kept hearing about Austin Street, so we added it to our itinerary, and I'm so so glad we did. This location is small, and a little hidden as it's on the backside of the industrial area housing a few other breweries. Upon walking in, we were quickly and warmly greeted by Brie. She gave us recommendations based on styles we like, and what they had on draft vs in cans and we really enjoyed the selections. We found the beer to all be good representations of the styles we tried. The space is cute, with white board walls you can add your art or fun message on. The biggest thing for us was Brie herself. She was super attentive and friendly, and didn't mind us bugging her with our beer nerdery. All in all, one of our favorite spots on our trip, and we're already planning a return trip to Maine with Austin Street at the top of our itinerary.
