The bartender was very welcoming! Very neat, family-friendly place. They have quite a few options. They have a big area uphill that's pretty cool.

Lone Pine was one of my favorite brewery stops of the day, because not only was the beer fantastic, the outdoor beer garden area beautiful, but the staff was so friendly and fun to talk to! Turns out, I can find Lone Pine beer near home in Florida which is exciting! The Juice Punch hazy IPA was one of my favorites of my whole trip. Street parking, but several other breweries within walking distance, so make a day out of it!

Another lovely brewery in Portland! They recently created a brand new deck space, with more bathrooms and lots of seating. It's see in the trees and very fun place to hang out in the summer or even in the fall. I love their sours, and my friends like their IPAs. Love the vibe!

My favorite brewery out of the 4 local ones we visited this time in Portland. I'm not really a beer connoisseur so I tend to like ordering a beer flight and lean to the more fruity but not sour type beers -- my favorite being the Oh-J IPA. Really good selection of beers overall. We had our baby with us and also really appreciated the cool and relaxing vibe. They have both an inside living room setup with couches and TV with football on as well as a patio outside. Great stop on our own beer tour :)

Lone Pine's It Came From Maine Triple IPA!

We had Lone Pine Brewing (Steve and myself) not too long ago and we liked the IPA we had fairly well . The name of the beer we had was It Came From Maine. The can art was fun as it was kind of reminiscent of a monster movie of the 1950's and had a nuclear glow in the font and design on the can which I certainly appreciated. The flavor features for this Triple IPA are citrus, Grapefruit, tropical, piney and malt presences. All in all nothing too terribly unique or anything that really etched itself big time in my memory for other IPA's I have had but refreshing all the same and a good beer to have to unwind from after a long day.

It can be a tight squeeze getting through to the counter if it's a busy time of day. But everyone here, staff and patrons, are very friendly, and there's a certain charm to being here I didn't always experience at the other breweries in the immediate area. Outside seating is available in nice weather, and that may be a better option for larger groups. There's a nice variety of beers available. I don't recall pour options specified for all of them, but they were nice enough to give me all the information I wanted on those just by asking. The number of brewery stickers literally all over the place was mind-blowing. My group enjoyed both our beers and our time here.

What a delightfully down to earth brewery. I had their standard classic double ipa the oh-j which is very citrusy and a bit hazy then I had their slay all day which is a thiolized ipa and super smooth but typical at the same time then I had this the world is her oyster which is a sour made with actual oysters and sea salt that was so complex in flavor and then this super chunk session which is watermelon and actually legit tastes like a fresh watermelon and so refreshing. If you have to visit one brewery in Portland visit here.

If you like sours or IPAs, this is the go-to place! We came across this brewery on the East side in an industrial area by several other great breweries. There is also a small outdoor seating area as well. We grabbed a couple of flights to try all the different options they have. My favorite was the Watermelon Ale, with just a subtle hint of watermelon and not too citrusy. Staff was great and had great recommendations as well.

    Blackberry sparkler and an IPA

They have a fantastic covered patio set up! With lights and heat! Unfortunately when we went they had run out of propane, but they are in the process of getting a direct line set up and have plenty of spaced out tables there. It was our first time there and we were really happy to see that they were actually checking for negative covid tests and doing contact tracing since we're from out of state. I had the blackberry sparkler and was very happy with it! Sometimes sours can have a strange aftertaste but this one was smooth and just the right amount of pucker. We got some cans to go and have been enjoying them at home!

Lone pine has surprisingly pretty good beers for someone who is not a beer fan, the ones we had "the town" and the "portland pale ale" were refreshing and had notes of citrus! We really came here for tacos la poblanitos, the food truck that comes here every so often. Lone pine has outdoor patio seating and seating options in their beer garden too and seating was fairly ample. Nice beer spot away from the traffic of rising tide and co. And arguably better tasting beer.

Great place with a fun vibe inside and outside seating . Love the OH-J IPA . They have several other IPAS to enjoy. Drift in and do a draft or two.

Just everything. Collective vibes (atleast back when we frequented two years ago), staff, and hazy IPAs.

Picked-up and brought home. New WALK OFF IPA for Hadlock Field/Seadogs.

Just a quick update about Lone Pine. My partner and I wanted to support local and pick-up some beer from one of our favorite places (with minimal contact). So he made an order through the Lone Pine website for three different four packs. After placing it, he immediately received an email with his receipt and instructions for curbside pick-up anytime after 2:30pm that day. We realized an hour later that one of the beers we ordered actually WASN'T what we wanted, so he then called them directly to make a switch and they were super chill about it. Later that day my partner showed up, parked in front, and called the number we were given in our receipt instructions. They - wearing gloves - came right out and put the beer on the passenger seat (which my partner had opened from his driver's seat for them) making sure to point out that they had made the swap we asked for. Seamless, exceptional customer service, and darn if we don't just love their beers. Thank you for keeping us hydrated friends!

Out on a Sunday drive to the Riverside area of town. Wanted to check out an apartment neighborhood…read morefor our son. We turned down the road and boom, three breweries!! Had no idea all three were located here, pleasant surprise. I enjoy Allagash white so we decided to stop in. The campus is a good size with gigantic tanks no doubt filled with liquid gold! Outdoor seating area with fire pits for warmer weather enjoyment. Entrance had a woodsy feel to it with signage that was clear to read. In the courtyard you choose which way to go; right heads into the outside beer garden and left brings you inside the brewery and gift shop. Beer garden for us. Seeing that it was covered by a tent thought for sure it was going to be cold inside , we were pleasantly surprised! Decor was paper chains and tissue paper hearts for Valentine's season. They had a creative station for folks to make their own Valentines. Also in the same area was a game bookshelf filled with board and card games to play. At the bar was a young man smiling as he welcomed us. We read the menu and for something different I chose "Cabin Weekend" the name reminded me of our camp in the Western mountains. We both enjoy whiskey so thought the aged barrels used for this brew would make a tasty treat. Grabbed our beers and then over to the food truck attached to the tent, clever. Bite into Maine is the food truck here today, unsure if different trucks come here or not. We wanted something small and shareable. Mac and cheese it was. We sat down at one of the many empty tables and began to enjoy our beers and food. Cabin weekend was so delicious! It was a strong onto 8.9%! Tasty with the faintest hint of whiskey and a cabin feel for the finish. The Mac and cheese was dense and rich!! The fork could practically stand upon its own! It was good in my opinion however don't think I could have finished the portion in my own. We enjoyed so much we will be back for some to bring away with us to our cabin in the woods.

Several more visits since my last review…read more Some things haven't changed: -- The beers are still great. Swish, Here's to Feeling Good All the Time, Nothing Gold, and Reciprocal are a formidable foursome. At any given time, you can usually get at least two, more often three, sometimes all four. -- You'd be hard pressed (pun intended) to find a better smashburger in Portland, but I'd also put it up against any regularly-offered burger I've had in Portland--smashed or otherwise. I love everything about it, from the high caliber of the beef to the fresh pillowy milk bun to the exhilaratingly strong cure of the bacon to the razor-thin cutting of the vegetables to the execution that gets even a smashburger burger juicy. -- I'm still not crazy about the wings. They have a frozen dinner feel to them. A few things, though, have changed: -- Full service now instead of having to order everything at the bar. That's a plus. -- The place is much more crowded-- including screaming tykes-- on the weekends. Not a plus, but can't fault a place for its own popularity. -- The fries are now the industrial strength coated kind. A big minus and a sad drop off from prior greatness, but better that than from an item off the main cast. -- You can now order beer cans to go from the table rather than having to get in line. A nice convenience. A few things to know: -- It's a surprisingly good option for vegetarians and pescatarians. The veggie burger and the grilled fish sandwich are both much more than solid. -- There's outdoor seating in front of the building and also to the right. -- The bar room to the right of the entrance is adults only, so if those screaming tykes get on your nerves, this is the place to be. -- You can still order beer at the bar if that's your preference over table service. Still a favorite, and the combo of beer, food, and space is tough to beat (Mast Landing and Maine Beer in Freeport are also somewhere in that echelon).

As an IPA fan I enjoyed this new version very much for its hop saturated citrusy forward taste that drank quite smooth for the 9.5%. At this point now Bissell is broken into two separate parts. The first will be the space welcoming to families and is more of their restaurant style area. Appeared to be a popular area and does offer reservations. My preferred area is the Bissell Garden as they call it. Those entering need to be of drinking age and have more lounge vibes where you order at the bar. It still offers full kitchen menu so is perfect. Particularly my favorite is snagging bar stools to grab some beers and food. I had to try out the Super Swish while my wife grabbed their red ale named Turnpike. Then food wise we split their kitchen special Classic Poutine. Some of the best classic kept simple poutine I have had. The perfect comfort food for yet another cold weather day in Maine. Have been impressed by all the food from Bissell. Truly the only negative still stands being the fact it's on Thompson's Point and required paid parking (not Bissell Brothers call but still). One of the most popular Maine breweries for a reason especially in the IPA game. Give all their other style of beers a try too though, top notch brewery!

I enjoyed their first location but let's be real this space is more unique and larger! Been to this spot many a times including earlier today. They still have an industrial feel to the place but have so many plants all around to brighten the spot up. Inside while beautiful I must say the true highlight is during warm weather with their large garage doors open. It also adds tons of additional seating to enjoy the weather too! Staff is always so friendly and ready to pour your drink with a smile. Beer wise they have a large variety including IPAs, pale ales, lagers, and sours. Including a special release each year made for International Women's.For non-beer drinkers don't fret, you can find wine, ciders, seltzers, cocktails, and plenty of non-alcoholic options. They also offer some snacks and frequently have food trucks/carts serving as well. With a lot of events scheduled too, including today that was a Summer Puppy Pool Party so as you can tell they are dog friendly. One of the many amazing breweries in this area of Portland. Well made beers with enough options for everyone to enjoy a drink even non beer fans. A place that supports many good charities/causes and hosts lots of events.
