We were looking for authentic Mexican food on Taco Tuesday as we left a doctor's appointment near down town Scottsdale. We googled a place to eat and Auntie's Taco cane up. The owner was very nice our server was great..now the food was DECISION we loved it. If you are ever near down town Scottsdale please stop by you will not be disappointed. We will be back.

Great location and open late. The food and service were excellent. Both of the sauces were very good. The margs were pretty decent but weren't very strong.

For a late night run for tacos this was okay. Were they the best tacos? No. Were they good after a night of consuming hard liquor? Yes. Tacos were $4 a pop. Bit pricey. All the zonies were here grabbing tacos after a night of dancing in the Old Town establishments. Drunk and outta their minds.

I had great time having tacos here at Bunti G's. The service was fast and friendly and the tacos were delicious. Definitely worth checking out for some late night tacos.

Stumbled upon this spot. Fast and helpful service. Had a steak burrito and it hit the spot. Lots of well seasoned rice and the sauce on the side was excellent. Really wasn't expecting it

I was headed to another spot when a young lady asked me if I wanted tacos .. um yes please.. so I thought I'd give them a shot There's a sign above the order window off the sidewalk .. if you're not looking you'll miss it .. there's an A frame sign on the sidewalk also I ordered one of each flavor asada, chicken, & al pastor street tacos, on flour tortillas (not my fav for street tacos but ok).. the salsa bar is located next door at the pizza place .. no signs (put up a sign) .. looks like same owners.. the taco place has no seating but I'm guessing you can sit at the pizza place & eat your tacos (I think ) The tacos were served big to-go box looked sad before I hooked them up with cabbage, pico de Gallo and salsa (salsa was good & spicy).. the taco meat was too salty on all three tacos and was not hot .. pretty sure it was made & chopped up earlier in the day.. Pricey at $9 for three blah tacos ..

"Nachos" on the left, tacos on the right.

While the portion size of taco meat is large, it's still cold meat on stale tortillas for the tacos, and cold cheese on cold chips for the nachos. I know it's midnight, but this place used to be good.

I used to only get this burrito after a night of drinking but I officially crave it soberly and that's when you know it's really good! LOL

This review is for the totality of the experience…read more I made an advance reservation at Alma Scottsdale for a mid-sized group of 7 to celebrate a special occasion. Our party arrived right on time for our reservation, but we were not seated until 15 min later because our table was not ready. It took about an additional 15 min to get tap water for the table (there was not enough provided anyways), and to place our orders too another ~20 min. The food did not arrive until 30 min later. For context, we eventually learned that the restaurant was short staffed and the bartender was also operating as our waiter. When the food finally arrived, there was a mix-up on what was delivered. We had checked with the staff who delivered one of the dishes: we ordered the "wild mushroom" side, but what we received did not look quite like it. We asked clarifying questions x2, but were assured, "no, it is the wild mushroom." Turned out, it was the mushroom empanada that was delivered to our table, which we originally did not order. The management did rectify the situation upon the conclusion of the event when we were paying the bill, but to us, it felt a bit accusatory as if we intentionally wanted to cause a huge fuss about the final total, which was absolutely not the case. The food in general was delicious. If this was a more standard dining experience, it would have been 4-5 stars just for the food. The service was very subpar, and really colored the entire experience negatively, therefore the two star review. I understand that staffing shortages happen -- fine. My family has worked in food service as wait staff for 25+ YEARS, so I am empathetic. But for management to ring up our bill and then come confront us in an inflammatory manner, making us feel like we were wrong, on an occasion to celebrate something special, was extremely disappointing.

GREAT Food, But Apparently Service Is Now a Scavenger Hunt…read more This is a tough review to write because the food at The Mexicano is still A+. Unfortunately, this week's experience made it impossible to keep my previous 5-star rating. We stopped in around 1:30 p.m., when there were literally maybe six other people in the entire restaurant. Somehow, we managed to have three different waiters because each one became preoccupied with something else. At one point, we had to get up and go to the bar ourselves to ask for things. Nothing says "full-service restaurant" quite like having to become your own waiter. And then there are the recent changes to the menu and happy hour. Happy hour for individual tacos is no longer seven days a week--it's now Tuesday which has been reduced to one $3 taco. One. Taco. Refer to menu I've uploaded. I have no idea if this is an attempt to cut costs (there hasn't been a change in ownership), but if that's the strategy, I worry it's going to be a case of saving a few dollars while losing a lot of customers. Cutting back on the things that made people love coming here--great service, variety, and an appealing happy hour--doesn't exactly feel like a recipe for success. To be clear: this review has absolutely nothing to do with the quality of the food. The food remains excellent. A+. The issue is the overall experience and the noticeable changes to what used to make The Mexicano such a great place to visit. We've had consistently great experiences here in the past, which is why I originally gave it 5 stars. I genuinely hope they reconsider these changes, because I'd much rather be writing another 5-star review than updating this one. Great food + increasingly nonexistent service + a disappearing happy hour = a restaurant that may be eating its own lunch.

The ceviche was incredibly fresh and super flavorful definitely worth the $28 as you can taste the quality ingredients. I love that they have a summer $8 happy hour!
