I arrived at 8:49pm and they did not have my order placed whatsoever. They told us that this happens frequently with their online system as some orders come through and some don't. Learn for our mistake and place it through the phone or call to ensure they received it! My bf and I have been to their Palos Verdes location and was so happy to find a somewhat closer location to us. The star of the show is their 120 Pepperoni Pizza which has 12 slices and a pepperoni in each bite. We also got the 8 piece hot wings which were saucy and soft which I love (like how Dominos Pizza makes them). They have their Kimchi sauce which is to die for!! Have done to-go pizza here three times and am obsessed. I'm basic and always do an XL pepperoni pizza but reading other reviews seems basic is the way to go. They put in insane amount of pepperoni and it's super delicious even eating it 15-20 mins later once I get home. I also love it's more cheesy than saucey since I'm not a bug sauce girlie. I share this pizza with friends every time and they always remark how good it is also. I've also done hot wings from here twice. 1st time they were gross and kind of soggy. 2nd time I requested well done and those were decent but still far from my fav wings. I do like that they have a to-go station ready with paper plates, utensils, parmesan, red pepper etc that you can just grab what you need unlike other places that ration you and charge extra for those items. So I came across the OG Rancho Palos Verdes location during Covid and was blown away. Ordered an XL, Mercedes 3 flavor pizza and was so impressed that each of the flavor profiles were completely unique. I remember the crust being so thin that I felt the two of us could eat the entire thing but decided to bring some pieces home. There was feta on the pizza which I hate, but I loved it. 4 years later, I bring my friend that doesn't normally waste their carb intake on pizza, but likes a mean thin crust pizza. I shared some social media posts and he said sure let's try it. I think a combination of factors led to a very disappointing experience. Dough - The dough here was thinner than a normal pizza but not like my initial experience. It tasted kind of hard/dense like it was too compressed and didn't rise enough (not sure if that means dead yeast or what) Flavor profile - Everything tasted very muted, again not at all like my original experience. I recall every flavor popped and had solid quality ingredients Price - I want to say it cost us like $38.99 + tax for the original one 4 years ago, and the one this time cost around $27.99. So even after inflation the price has dropped a large degree, but it seems like they sacrificed the quality of the ingredients when they got popular/mainstream. How disappointing. I looked back on old pictures and realized the old Mercedes and the new Mercedes are entirely different. They subbed out what looked like special meats with a meat lovers, and the Romana used to have tons of chopped garlic and there was none at all on the current one. Was heading over to Carson area and was looking for something unique. Looked up this place on Yelp and headed over. When I got there I was met with some friendly staff and I thought prices were reasonable. Took about 40 min to get my pizza and was kinda surprised to look over and see what looked like two large regular looking steel ovens for the pizza. It didn't even register for me to look prior since I assumed the oven would be unique as a brick oven as the name suggests. I got the piping hot pizza and while it was good, I did not think it was great. Just kinda mid level with nothing really special about it. Good for the price, some tables within the restaurant to hang out which was nice but I did notice that they had quite a few people hanging out waiting for their pizzas, assumed I just came at a busy time and it must be a local drop in place. I've now been to Burattino's in San Pedro and Carson....and I can say that this place is in my all time Top 5. My go to is the Cheese Lava Pie with Pepperoni. Carson location is great because there is plenty of seating....and I found the staff to be really customer oriented and super cool...we came in there near closing and they didn't give us that "we're closing soon vibe" you get get from...well...everywhere. Anyway...the pies were INCREDIBLE! San Pedro location is great as well....but you might be eating it off the hood of your car due to limited capacity...it's still worth it. I was told over the phone 20 mins the pizza took an hour . Because they said 20 mins I planned to get the pizza then my kid from school . This is our favorite Burattino's to go to. The food is amazing hot fresh. The staff is well trained, very friendly, very helpful and the place is very clean. We love to go to this one because of the patio we can sit outside with our little pup and the girls even brought us water for our dog when they delivered our pizza just the nicest young crew Very well trained girls and guys inside we used to go to the one up in Rancho Palos Verdes. they were good but this place is great our new favorite every time we go there it's consistent and wonderful food. Honest review: So like others I've been following this highly acclaimed pizza spot on IG for over a year now. Had plans to visit LA so I made certain to fit a trip to Butattino's into the schedule. Once inside I was glad to see that there was not a line. Took me a minute to look over the menu and the young lady upfront was also helpful with any questions I had. Ordered the Meat Lovers' Pizza+onions+jalapeños and a side of their much talked about white garlic sauce. The pizza took about 25-30min to cook. We drove in from Long Beach to try this place after my wife saw it on Instagram. We initially went to San Pedro but they had only 3 tables inside and 2 outside, all of which were taken so we drove to Carson. This location has a private parking garage, had plenty of parking. The salad was a house salad with roasted red peppers, red onions, black olives, cucumber, pepperoncini, served on romaine lettuce with house dressing.
