I've been wanting to try to this place since they opened up the new location at Mason & Lassen a couple months ago. My wife & I had both heard about them prior to that, when they were still a pop-up food stand on Tampa/Saticoy, but we never had a chance to make it over there. Once they opened up this new location, we were determined to go, as we both love a quality smashburger! Finally had a chance to go in early December, and again on January 11th, and we're impressed! First off, it has to be noted that this is a smashburger joint. This is not In 'N Out or Fatburger, or other traditional types of burgers....they make smashburgers, which are a very specific type of burger, and they do a damn good job of it! If you don't know what a smashburger is, check it out before going here, so you know what you're getting. My wife & I each had a double wagyu smashburger, hers with pickles & onions, and mine with bacon. We also had a side of fries and an order of mozzarella sticks. The food was hot, fresh, cooked to order and came out packaged well, with their fry sauce on the side and ranch + marinara for the mozzarella sticks. The burger were fantastic! The patties were cooked well, seasoned & salted well and really tasty. The fries were golden brown & cooked to perfection, and the mozzarella sticks were breaded well, without being greasy or oily. We spent $44 with tax, and although the price seems a little high, when you consider the high quality & freshness of their ingredients it's worth it....and to put it in perspective, places like 5 Guys and Steak & Shake are just as expensive, if not even slightly more. Overall, we both enjoyed our food, and felt it was worth the money spent! With regard to the location itself, the place has a great vibe! Outdoor (covered) seating only, but they've got a good sound system playing current music, patio lights & multicolor style Christmas lights draped across the seating area and plenty of tables & chairs with a pseudo-wall partially blocking out the street traffic & noise. I got a side of onion rings, appreciated the plentiful amount of onion rings too. Some places only give like 5 onion rings lol. How they serve your burger and side is in a box like a happy meal and I really love that it made me feel like a kid again getting a Happy Meal . The flavor is 10/10 (burgers) I do think they covered the burger with tooooo much sauce and don't let the layers of burger show. I was amazed at the gentleman who usually greets customers and takes their orders was flipping burgers on the grill. He seemed focused and he's able to juggle different task. I'm in a chatgroup with a BUNCH of my neighbors (300+ women) here in Porter Ranch (shout to "Ladies of Porter Ranch" for always giving the best recommendations!!) and they were all raving about burger 3000. I LOVEEE burgers, and so I wanted to try it out! I'm so glad i did! I used to ONLY EVER eat burgers at in-n-out and finney's, and im honestly never going back there after having tried burger 3000. It's life altering, haha! The bread..the patties..the in-house made sauce..everything!!! I love their onion rings and seasoned fries too! I'm weird and i like my onions raw, so I get my burger with raw onions heehee. One day i'll it with grilled onions, but i am a big fan of burgers with fresh onions. The first time I tried burger 3000 was yesterday with my husband, and then omg....i'm not going to lie. The next day--today--I had it for lunch, and then I came back later today and got it for dinner. I am sooo hooked and so addicted. This is such a hidden gem, you guys will love it! Heard good things about this place from fellow yelpie peers. Let's start off by saying that though it says they are open at 4:00 pm they are not. They don't truly start to take orders or start to put them through until 4:30 pm. When I arrived I placed my order but at first was told 15 mins went then after I had finished the order they added 10 more mins. I wanted to pay but the terminal was down. So I had to wait to pay until pick up. They need a better system in regard to getting food. Out. I was the first person to place an order however, when my order came out I was 2nd to be called out..not a big deal but I think that should be improved on. Specially since they do DoorDash orders. We had: 1 double burger: two wagyu patties and cheese. 1 Oklahoma burger: two wagyu patties, grilled onions, pickles and cheese. 2 season fries and they top it off with a special house sauce. 1 coke soda can Total $35 and some change Taste was spot on. Well cooked and just the right size. Fries were crunch and delicious. Nice and skinny. (personal preference) There is a lot of traffic so it makes it for a not so pleasant eating experience. Also they should invest on a steel Shield to protect the grill and our food from what ever gets picked up In The gust of winds through the moving cars. The food is very unassuming yet SUPER delicious. I was pleasantly surprised. They were having a Yelp Elite event, that I didn't get into, but went along for the ride with my sister who did. Decided to buy a burger and fries and I'm so glad I did! I ordered the double burger without cheese and added kimchi, and seasoned fries. ‍ I usually don't like sauce on my fries (didn't know they came that way) but I thoroughly enjoyed it. The only downside is that it takes awhile for them to take your order and to make your food. Its super fresh and tasty though, so I'd probably go back.
