I have been wanting to try this place for a cool minute, wince they were a pop-up, and finally made it out to their brick-and-mortar, and it was totally worth it! Folks need to understand that Wagyu is on another level of flavor and quality (and yes, higher price, too) compared to your standard beef burgers. I typically find "smash burgers" a bit boring, but Burger 3000 really levels it up to another world of flavor. For example, the Space Jam was an amazing creation that includes double smash, patties, avocado, and an extraterrestrial strawberry-bacon jam that blew my mind and my taste buds. The Jalapeño Oklahoma is another stellar addition, taking the standard double smash cheeseburger (with pickles) and adding caramelized onions and fresh green jalapeños spicy, zesty element that complements and enhances the savory notes of the meat, allowing the heat to cut through the richness of the wagyu and cheese. These special items and unique ingredients really help to create a more complex and satisfying flavor profile. The ambiance and vibe reminds me of a retro arcade, space invaders, sci-fi movie cafe type place. The staff was friendly. The food was prepared fast and fresh. We stumbled on Burger 3000 by accident and were so glad we did! The small burger joint catches your eye right away with the bright space-age design, and the dining area is modern and comfortable. This is one of the boy's favorite burger spots (I like it too) and not because of what we like burgers for, but because the burgers are small with a soft bun, it has no extras like onions, lettuce, and tomatoes and it taste good. I, on the other hand, love the flavor of the burger and that bun is so soft and delicious to me. We came after watching Minecraft the movie so we had some hungry boys with us. We arrive at the window and right off the bat, the guy at the window asks if the kids want these little light-up rockets and astronaut keychains. The kids run off hype and I order for them. There's a 7/11 right next door so we usually grab a drink from there because I'm trying to get my boys to stop drinking soda and drinking more water. Anyway, they only have a little outside picnic seating area (no indoor seating) and its always clean. The kids usually play catch in a little section on the side while we wait for our order. Now about the food, the burger is top-notch! It's a little small so I would suggest ordering a double because my 5 and 7-year-old destroy a single. There aren't too many toppings but the sauce helps add flavor to the burger. I'm not sure what the sauce is, bug they give you an extra one on the side and we use it for dipping sauce for the fries. Now thfries are a different story. I feel like they need a little work. They are hard and crispy but maybe if they didn't cook them so long it would help. The space itself is clean, modern, and has a great vibe--easy spot to hang out whether you're grabbing a quick bite or bringing the family. My SO and I stopped by on a whim after driving past the bright lights multiple times in the past couple of months, and we're so glad we did! The first visit, we ordered single cheeseburgers and seasoned fries online. When we came to pick up, we were greeted by a manager, who invited us to try the Oklahoma burger next time. We were pleasantly surprised with the thoughtful service. The cheeseburgers were packed with flavor and had the perfect amount of crisp on the edges of the patty. We knew immediately that we wanted to try more. The seasoned fries were also perfectly cooked with great Cajun-like seasoning. On our second visit, we took the manager's advice and tried the Oklahoma burger. It absolutely was worth it! The extra onions and special sauce took an already-delicious smashburger to the next level. The flavor and juiciness are top-tier, even compared to more expensive ones we've had in DTLA in the past. The meat was juicy and the infused onions were delicious! I would definitely order this again. The fries were cooked very well and did not taste super oily and still retained its crispness as I slowly ate it. The milkshake was also very good and not overbearingly sweet or hard to drink. Service: Service was great! I regret not asking for the cashier's name, but he was very helpful. Helped me decide on my order and definitely made me feel welcomed! All right, so this visit was short lived. I stopped by just for a burger nothing else. I had been seeing a lot of buzz about this place and if i remembered correctly it was named something else prior and was a good spot. Being from the valley, I wanted to try this revamp or whatever the case may be. I was left standing at the window for a while, i just watched the chef and someone off to the left prepping for the day I suppose and no one said anything to me until I walked over to the second window at which point I was told I was the wrong window and needed to go back to the original window to place my order.. okay ? lol I add that detail because I purchased a just double burger, and my tab came up to $15 and some change.... And so at this point I was like "okay this burger BETTER be REALLY satisfying" naturally. The presentation of the burger was, cool. It came in a nice box that felt really sturdy adorned with some dope imagery, but that "aw" stopped quickly upon opening the box. The patties were small and for $15 I didn't expect for a double - 2 patties - combined, to still be about 1/2 the size of a regular patty. (Smashed i know but dang) The burger was overall good just really underwhelming considering, the presentation of the box vs the burger inside I'd pay for less box and more burger there any day; in addition to how i felt i experienced my first few seconds there. people get lost in their work, i completely i understand but one can only rate their experience and so 3stars. read more

My husband is a huge smash burger fan, so when I came across Burger 3000 on social media, I knew it would be the perfect surprise after his long day at work. We made the hour-and-a-half drive, and let me tell you -- it was absolutely worth it! From the moment we arrived, the vibe was fun and futuristic -- very "space-themed" just like their name suggests. We walked up to the front window (pictured) and were greeted by who I believe was the owner. He was so friendly and genuinely surprised we had traveled just to try their burgers, which made the experience feel even more special. I ordered the Space Jam Burger (raspberry bacon jam, avocado, and their spicy sauce) along with their Truffle Fries -- both absolutely delicious. My husband went with the Jalapeño Oklahoma Burger and their Beast Fries... I blinked, and his plate was already empty! We also tried the onion rings, which were perfectly crisp, and before heading out we shared the Moonshine Oreo Crumble Shake. It was delicious, though the small straws made it tricky to drink (minor issue, but worth mentioning). The only drawback is the limited outdoor seating, but honestly, the food more than makes up for it.
