Great people and great burgers! I was a little uncomfortable in the restaurant because of the music and decor, but that's my preference. The burgers were cooked perfectly, I loved the bacon on the burgers, and the pretzel bun was a nice addition. The fries tasted homemade and were a little too salty, but it made it taste good. I also was not a fan of the house brined pickle because it was too salty and sour for my taste.

I have to laugh out loud because it seems like people or one person just copies and pastes the same thing over and over on Google and Yelp. Wording is slightly different from one review to the next but complaints are still the same. We came on a Wed night after 8 pm. Parking can be rough since it's shared with other stores and restaurants. Luckily, we found one spot that was at the very end of the strip. Depending on what time you arrive, you may have to circle the block or park in one of the nearby neighborhoods. The restaurant itself isn't super small like some may exaggerate. They have a decent amount of tables, not crowded. Service was great. My server was very friendly and attentive. Our water was always refilled. The music was definitely not loud. We ordered deviled eggs, mushroom swiss burger, and peanut butter bacon 'n jelly burger. Deviled eggs were good but $7 was too much for 4 pieces. Price should have been like $3-4. There were no fancy toppings on them. Just FYI, the fries comes with the burgers automatically. Both burgers were cooked medium rare. Mushroom swiss was juicy, greasy, and tasty. You'll definitely need to wash your hands afterwards. The peanut butter and jelly compliment the pbb&j burger, it did not taste weird or anything of that sort. The jelly does get messy though but it'll taste well with the fries. The fries were seasoned and not overly salty. You don't really need the ketchup but the ketchup is house made. Burger prices were about $17 each. Good size portions.

We came here after the zoo. We had 3 toddlers 4 adults. They offer changing table and high chairs. If your kids can't seat still this isn't the place for you as the restaurant doesn't have much space. Our waitress was very professional, kind to our kids and knowledgeable about the menu. Restaurant was very clean and cozy. The first thing you notice is the Bar. Very modern looking. I started off with old fashion and fried pickles. Old fashion was great . For the fried pickles you can still smell the fresh batter like they didn't fry it long enough. Then I had the mushroom Swiss burger with fries. I'm not sure what kind of seasoning they use but it was very tasty. If you want a good burger this is the spot. They offer free street parking.

Many trips, many burgers. Everything is always excellent from the food to the staff. Not really much to be said that already hasn't. Like most of these burger places you should always be getting the chips instead of fries. Here they're exceptionally good. Most recent trip I had the Fireball burger of the week. It was topped with demons and they lit it on fire and I cried while I ate it. Where else you going to do that ?

Man o man - just look at the pictures of Burger Antics and it'll say enough (haha). This was my second time being here and it was just as good as the first time. Honestly, it was hard to top my first experience but man, this time topped it with just an overall amazing experience. Service, food, sauces, PB&J Burger... all fantastic. Our server was great and patient and taught us about drinks / the food menu. If you never been: 1. You're missing out 2. I highly recommend. I would say this place is even worth traveling for (geez that's a big statement haha). Go out of your way to give this restaurant a try! It's a vibe & good time! Personal Review: 9.2/10

Saw this spot on TV. I thought we'd try it out. Got there right before closing! Climate was warm and inviting. Interesting setup. The server was excellent. They took our orders and served us right away. Although we got there late, the food was still spot on. Burgers were thick, juicy, and filling, just like I love it. I ordered the BBQ with cheddar and bacon. My gurl ordered the burger special of the day with kale?' Both were very good. Had mine medium. Spot on. I just wish I had a lil more char. That's personal preference. The only reason I didn't give this spot 5 stars us because I believed the burgers were pricey. I don't know about those prices. Other than that, very good meal

Getting something good to eat in Brookfield can get hard. It has a few good places if you look. Burger Antics is one of these, which is located downtown. Conveniently located close to public transportation, which is good. The prices are pretty good for the burgers, which are big and include black bean patties for those foregoing meats for plants. Came here for the burgers of course. It also of course would be for the vegan and vegetarian friendly ones. There were seats open at the bar so we sat there. Drinks are the other main thing on the menu. Lots of beer as well as cocktails such as a Paloma. It's about $12 for a cocktail. These are small and therefore kind of overpriced. As for the burgers, these are big. It's about $14 for a burger and a side. An option is the Build Your Own Damn Burger. Basically it's making a burger with the choice of toppings. A lot to choose from. Each of us got the black bean and rice patty. On mine there was the free toppings such as lettuce, onions, and tomatoes. Also you choose a side, and I got it with chips. There's a few others to choose from such as fries. Has lots of combinations for burgers. It's a good place for hanging, drinking, and eating. The burgers are big and there's options for meat eaters as well as vegans and vegetarians.

Walked in here and got sat right away on a Saturday during lunch. Staff were incredible! Beer options were good. Burgers, fries, and pub chips were out of this world! I'm taking 1 star off for the pickles and deviled eggs. I personally felt like it needed something more to turn up the flavor. Besides that, it was cute, very chill, and I would definitely come back! Great job today Burger Antics I'll be back to try more!

Small local burger place with a bar in the back. They played rocked music which was great. Our server was wonderful, friendly, approachable and professional. We started with the fried pickles which was okay. I didn't love that it's was fried as spears instead of chips. Beer batter was good and I enjoyed the ranch sauce that accompany the fried pickles. I got the Hotter than Hell burger with cole slaws. Burger wasn't as spicy as I thought but it was cooked perfectly to my liking and had a great spice level. I wasn't too impressed with the cole slaws. It lacked flavor. The fries would have been a better option.

Local craft beers are featured - as well as a nice selection of hand made cocktails. The wife loved her Paloma.

This was the best burger I've had from a restaurant in a long time. I wanted a real burger, juicy and cooked to order, not a flat, dry patty. I drove a bit out of the way for this and don't regret it one bit. From the perfectly cooked meat (which is hard to come by), fresh grilled veggies, right down to the homemade mayo, it hit the spot! This wasn't my first time to have a burger at "Burger Antics." Back in August 2014, I wasn't yet a Yelp Elite and just started my "Yelp career," hubby just finished a service call at a nearby bowling alley in Countryside. I yelped what was around and discovered the original "Burger Antics" attached to a sports bar. I had their "Swiss & Mushroom." It was one of these memorable burgers that I knew that I would have more than once in my lifetime. Fast forward to the year of 2016, "Burger Antics" has found a permanent home in downtown Brookfield. Hubby and I were out and about in Lombard, so we decided to stop by to have some quality burgers. I know many restaurants that serve burgers as their primary specialty don't always offer vegan or vegetarian burger patty option, yet you have a choice to substitute the usual beef patty with the black beans. My "Blue n' Black" burger was just as fantastic as the "Swiss & Mushroom" I had last time. The crumbs of blue cheese drizzled on the medium-cooked thick beef patty...don't tell me that it doesn't sound enticing! Their fries were fresh and crispy. The chef here knows her stuff because one (1) large pickle is included with every burger entree. That's exactly how I like to conclude my burger feast. Even though the burgers here are top-notch, I didn't love the service. It was slightly impersonal and wish it could be more prompt. We were definitely not neglected. The server came to out table asking if we were ready to order "thirty (30) seconds" upon sitting down. We respectfully informed her that we weren't and please gave us some time to peruse the menu. Ten (10) minutes passed and we have made our decisions, she was nowhere to be found and we didn't want to be rude to flag her down. At the end of the meal, the owner came around and greeted everyone in the dining room. I always know that local business owners want to do the best they can and having good feedback from social media is crucial to their business. The quality of burgers at "Burger Antics" is a solid five (5) stars for me, yet the overall service can use some improvements. read more

We heard about Burger Antics from one of Chicago's many food tv shows. Not sure which one, and for sure have no idea why it took us so long to check it out. No line when we arrived, we were seated almost right away. Menu is not large but ample. We tried fried pickles and burgers. The pickles were not all that, but they were not bad. Excellent burgers! The slider trio is definitely the way to go with so many creative options. Loved the PBBJ burger Hotter than Hell was great, too. Fries were super hot and crispy! Server was attentive and super friendly. Had to wait on a Saturday night, but not too bad. Will definitely be back. read more

This place is not fine dining or upscale at all. Its a place you got to get some good grub and chill. Sit back, have a beer and a burger. Pub style inside with edgy, quirky art made by local artists. No fuss and clean inside with nice and funny/personable staff. They have the best black bean burger patty ever! It is made with some type of rice that holds it together pretty well and makes it pretty soft to the bite. It was the hotter than hell I ordered and it was very good! I personally would change the cheese next time because I am not crazy about the smoked layer/texture of gouda. The flavor itself though was a really good combo, and the homemade ketchup is superb! My boyfriend loved his PBB&J burger. I love the food here, and I really like that they have art show/events for local artists. I don't like the ketchup and they don't carry regular ketchup they only have their homemade ketchup and their homemade mustard, which I don't like either I prefer the store-bought stuff plus they've been kind of ignorant to me when we were asking for donations for special Olympics, the owner was kind of a jerk and did not donate anything . The burgers are OK but they're really expensive. read more

Love the atmosphere, service & the slider trio is awesome. The worst part about this restaurant is choosing! and the trio makes it easy to pick three little examples of the burgers, which were all great! The peanut butter burger is something I generally wouldn't order and now that I've tried the mini version, I will order the big one next time. Decided to give this place another shot...what a mistake...only good thing was service. We both ordered burgers medium and shakes, burgers came out rare. You're a burger place, you should know how to cook a burger. Also, burgers had ZERO seasoning. We had to salt them, again you're a burger place you should know to season burgers before cooking them. Shakes were flavorless too. Then they charge extra fifty cents each for ketchup and mustard on a burger, WTF? No need to ever come back, overpriced for poor burgers. Also, their homemade ketchup is DISGUSTING!! Invest in some Heinz ketchup!! read more

I was so impressed by the hostess and staff, making sure we were accommodated so late in the day on Sunday. This was my 1st time. I did not know they had a Sunday brunch well as lunch and burgers. I was told about this place from a friend who knows the owners and I am counting the minutes until I go back again! Seriously! I am not a Man vs. Food type of gal but, could have ordered about 15 things off the menu. Just kidding...I could have ordered everything! Not one item didn't call my name! And their drinks OMG! I'm going to have to bring A DD or an Uber next time so I can sample a little bit of everything. I did partake in one beverage and it was an excellent choice. The seasonal gin and tonic. An orange mint. Refreshing and delightful! A perfect fall pairing with my burger. Wait I must tell you about the Burger! Cooked perfectly to order and they are not stingy on the toppings! I went with an old favorite a black-and-blue Burger but I did add bacon that did not disappoint. Thick flavorful and crispy! I know. I know. Everyone should want scratch made everything. I'm a little bit of a Heinz ketchup junkie! So there catch up was a tad sweet for me but absolutely a nice accompany meant to hand cut fries golden with a sprinkling of salt and hot! A Cool, funky, unpretentious joint that needs to be frequented by everyone at least once in their life. read more

Awesome burgers! No smash style here just the big juicy proper kind! Beer flights are extra awesome during bourbon county season. All the servers are awesome. A gem in Brookfield. When we moved from the city we missed Kumas. This spot has its own identity and keeps us happy. read more

I mean this place makes their own Ketchup. That alone is 5 stars. How many places do you hear about now that does things from scratch all the way down to their ketchup?! Would give 5 stars but the customer service was okay, could've been better. But I'm definitely willing to give them another try! I got the bbq burger and tried their Mac and cheese. My husband got the Raspberry Habanero burger. He knows I hate the taste of habanero but he made me try it. Let me tell you, this is the only time in my 28yrs of life that I love it! So so so good! read more

"Antics"-The name implies outrageous or foolish. Not so here. Seriously great burgers! Full bar and great beer tap selection. The burger patty itself was delicious. You could tell it was freshly ground and perfectly seasoned and professionally seared-and cooked exactly medium rare as I requested. Yuuuuum! Great selection of toppings to build your own or choose pre selected types. Try the sliders and choose 3 mini versions. I had the "midland"consisting of grilled sweet onions and homemade mustard sauce. Delicious! Fries are skin-on,long and homemade. The fried pickles are long spears in a delicious light coating. The pickles are brined right there. Scrumptious! Cole slaw was really good. The whip cream on the peanut butter shake was even made there! The homemade ketchup was the only thing we didn't really enjoy. Blues brothers movie was playing on the tv and the blues brothers soundtrack was on the speakers. The server was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Not sure what else we could have asked for. I really enjoyed this place!! read more

First I have to say the service was exceptional! It was so refreshing to be greeted as soon as we arrived, checked on multiple times and thanked as we left. Our server, think her name was Michelle, was the bomb and made an effort to get to know us. Onto the food and beverage choices. My husband and I ordered chocolate shakes which had an amazing whipped cream and were absolutely heavenly. We shared a plate of the Mac and Cheese and added the smoked applewood bacon. This was so delicious and creamy. Way to go! I ordered and barely finished the 3 mini sliders. You choose which burgers you want and for a small up charge you can get the burger of the week and month. Ding, ding, ding....You betcha tried them and the PB and J Bacon Burger. Burger of the week was the Strawberry Bomb- a small patty topped with Goat Cheese & a Fire Roasted Habanero Strawberry Compote! My 2nd choice the burger if the month, a Rueben burger a small party topped with Swiss, Braised Corned Beef, House Pickled Cabbage, & House Made Horseradish Infused 1000 Island Dressing! My husband had Montezuma's Revenge, a 9 oz patty on a pretzel bun with chorizo, pepper jack cheese, grilled habaneros and a fried egg. He likes it hot, and was not disappointed. He was really happy about his choice and just asked for a tums. The fries served with the burger were awesome. I took a car bomb cupcake for the road. I can tell you, we are both stuffed and I probably won't eat the cupcake till tomorrow. Home run Burger Antics. read more

I've come here a lot (almost embarrassingly so) because they absolutely have the best burgers hands down. Ever. Like I crave these burgers...they are probably really fattening but have the perfect amount of juiciness with the pretzel bun that all melts in your mouth. I must say that I really do not like the homemade ketchup (I think it has cumin in it?). I might smuggle in some Heinz next time for the fries, otherwise I just order the cole slaw. I love the drinks, the monthly specials & the vibe of the place as well. Awesome place! read more

Yummy burger with local flare! The burgers were juicy, flavorful, and just all around delicious! The bar/restaurant is family friendly and located in downtown Brookfield. After a loop around the block, we pull in to the shared parking lot and headed inside. My dad was looking at the menu on the drive up and was waffling between a taco salad and a burrito. Once I placed my order for a beef burrito, my dad followed up with the same thing. We tried to find a place to sit but the place isn't too conducive to eating in with the few tables they had were either taken or dirty from the prior visitor. The staff was super nice and friendly in trying to get a table cleaned up for us. We ended up snagging one and were promptly served tortilla chips with some of the best guacamole I have ever had. I'm not big on guac as I find it to taste too similar to pumpkin (everyone I tell this looks at me like I am crazy) but this stuff was delicious and had a nice kick to it. My dad found the sauce in one of the bottles to be spicy as hell and passed on using more of it. I found them to be quite yummy but I love me some heat. We nearly devoured half the chips by the time the food came out. They were that good and the food came out that fast. I'm used to Mexican-sized burritos but these might take the cake. They were MASSIVE. I showed everyone I know and their eyes got huge when they saw how big it was. The fries that came with it were those with the little bits of batter on them and I knew they were going to be good. I knew we were in for a good time. How do you even eat something that big? Very slowly and somewhat messy, that's how. I devoured half my tasty fries to free up space on my plate just in case I made a mess. Luckily, this burrito held itself together rather nicely. The burrito was super tasty but I do feel like maybe a chicken or pork version would've been better. I like beef but wasn't in the mood for it when I ate my burrito. That's on me though for not paying attention when ordering and accidentally getting beef. My dad loved his burrito and was able to put the whole thing down since he didn't eat breakfast. I had breakfast so I was only able to put down a little over half. My bottomless pit of a stomach isn't so bottomless now that I am almost 40 (a week shy of 39 during this visit). Overall, Taco Azteca lived up to the hype and was worth every bite. I really wanted to get some of the guac to go. My only warning is that the parking lot is shared and can be tight as well as the seats inside. This place serves better for carry-out if it's busy like it was when we were there.

At night I have these wonderful dreams, some kind of sensuous treat. Not zucchini, fettuccini, or bulgar wheat but a big warm bun and a huge hunk of meat.. Am I dreaming or is Burger Antics actually open again? I really missed this place, I couldn't look at hamburgers the same after it closed. The new location is really nice and easy to find. There's plenty of tables and the new building is much bigger. Chef Brenna comes up with the best ideas and I always look forward to trying out the new burger of the week and month! Dan and the staff make sure your taken care of and are super friendly. They have a nice selection of craft brews and and a variety of alcohol. The house made ketchup and condiments are so good! I was anxiously awaiting my trip to Burger Antics based on the positive reviews of this place (one friend even said it was the best burger she's ever tried!) Unfortunately I left extremely disappointed. We visited on a Sunday morning and was not informed of their brunch options, only learning about their offered brunch after ordering our burgers from a slim selection. I opted for their black & bleu burger, which was huge and topped with delicious fried onion straws. The patty itself was not good at all, lacking seasoning and seemed overcooked and dry. It reminded me of bad meatloaf. I ordered the patty medium well and perhaps that is where I went wrong. For any future customers I advise you to order your burger medium. This is definitely THE best burger place ever! The food is too die for and everything is so fresh and creative! The best part is its all made in house, nothing frozen, and there is always something new on the menu! I've tried things here I never thought I would and loved it! I think its pretty cool how the restaurant gets special craft beers brewed only for them and they pair it up well with their burgers specific for the beer. But my go to burger is definitely the 4 cheeseburger! There is fried mozzarella on the burger.. How can you go wrong! And the owners are very interactive with their customers and neighbourhood..
