One of the best smashed burgers in town, by far! Fries are yummy as well. Some cool sauces to choose from! Milkshake is worth it as well! Will be back for sure!

I got take out from here! I did the chopped cheese, fries and mango lassi milkshake! Everything was delicious! Even the fries were perfectly crispy! Wish they had burger bodega closer to where I live cause I would def be back!

Solid four! The burger was great! The Mexican coke was warm. Thankfully I didn't need napkins! They were soaked in condiments. I would definitely go back and get this in person. Solid 4. Great burger. The fries were good. The burger seemed freshly made and tasted good. The bacon was solid too! Tasted like real high quality bacon. Easy four star review. Would definitely recommend them to anyone that has not tried them.

Solid 4 stars. The burger was good and the fries were crispy. This is your classic smashed burger on a potato bun so nothing super special. The decor is cool and the yellow/red stands out amongst the other buildings around it. I was able to order with no line and the food came out within 10min. Parking is limited to a small parking lot. There's plenty of seating inside and on the roof.

Smash Burger- Single...should've gotten a double or triple

I've been wanting to try their smash burgers for a while now since I had a friend who used to work at their pop ups before they had their brick and mortar on Washington. I still see all the long lines even late at night a couple years later. I had the single smash burger with fries. I liked the potato bun which is soft and adds some sweetness. Growing up, we used to buy potato bread and made sandwiches with it. It's nostalgic. The bodega sauce also reminds me of the fry sauce we made with ketchup and mayo. I regret not getting the double or triple patties cause the meat was smashed really thin and is smaller compared to other smash burger joints. It made it hard to really taste the actual burger meat and tasted more of bread and sauce. The fries were ok. I think it's thinly batter-coated to maintain crispiness which I'm not a fan of. I've seen other places do the same. I wish it had seasoning or something. I've tried the chopped cheese when they did the collab with The Kolache Shoppe and thought it had good flavor. I would try the double or triple smash next time, but I wouldn't want to go out of my way to wait in line for it. Plus, their burgers are pricey. I didn't see any combo options. I don't mind the other smash burger joints like Smashburger, Freddy's, and Trill. I love a good burger, but maybe I'm not as into the "smash" aspect. To each their own. Rodeo Goat still reigns supreme in my burger book!

Tried Burger Bodega and honestly, it was just okay. I had higher expectations based on the hype, but it didn't really stand out to me. The burger was decent...nothing bad, just nothing memorable or different from other spots. The vibe is cool and it's a solid quick bite, but overall it didn't feel like anything special. Not a bad experience, just not one I'd go out of my way for again.

One of the best smash burgers I've ever had! The lace was perfect and the mango lassi shake paired perfect with it. The shake wasn't too sweet too, which I preferred. The decor has a cool bodega vibe with cat graffiti and unique branded household items on the walls. The service was great for a casual spot and I'd definitely be back the next time I'm in Houston!

Overall good burger with all the fun bodega vibes. I really appreciated all the details they put into the decor when designing this restaurant. I was quite satisfied with everything we got at the restaurant. Ordered: - Smash Burger - Fries - nice and crispy. - Screwed Fries - At first I felt like the bodega sauce and cheese didn't make a big difference in the fries, but the more I ate it the more I enjoyed it. We also felt they give you slightly more fries in this order than with the fries itself. - Mango Lassi Shake - yummy and definitely would get again. Parking lot here is quite limited so that can be a little sucky especially since they seem to be quite busy. Honestly a really good option for late night food.

This place is 100 percent a NYC bodega vibe meets h-town swag. The burgers have a perfect lattice to them and paired with the spicy bodega sauce and the cheese, it is pure heaven. One of the best smash burgers I've ever had. I come to houston for MD Anderson help every few months. This place is always an automatic visit. The shakes are crazy creamy and perfect too. Fries are just some great everyday fries with a good crisp. Compliments burger perfectly. The service is always quick and dope. They are very accommodating. They never mess my orders up with the many times I've been there. This place is a must visit, the inside theme is so good, with its 90s/2000s feel. Awesome art and decor. I'll always be back.

Double smashburger, side of fries, strawberry milkshake

Came in around 8:30pm on a Thursday night and it was still packed! The service is great; everyone is so kind and we got our food quickly. The place itself has an amazing vibe, decorated as a Houston-style bodega. Limited parking but there's street parking available as well. We ordered the double smashburgers, side of fries, and a strawberry milkshake (we ordered without whipped cream). The burgers come with cheese, grilled onions, and pickles; lettuce is a $0.25 add-on but they give you a good amount. The burgers are juicy, full of flavor, a decent size, a soo tasty! It didn't blow my mind, but a good burger for sure. The fries were crispy and soft on the inside, the milkshake tasted like real strawberries instead of the artifical stuff & was delicious! Definitely will be coming back!

Arrived to the burger bodega on a sunday around 1pm and was able to get the last parking spot in the back. Was greeted by friendly cashiers and servers. The vibe was cool, with a diverse crowd of patrons. Was here w the fam jam, everyone obviously ordered burgers and fries. The bun was this billowy potato bun with sparse condiments. Double patty ,smashed and crispy on the periphery of the meat. It was good, but for me it just didnt have the crack addict super high feeling i got when i first tried shake shack 15 years ago. I think the burger lacked beefiness. But maybe that's just the nature of a smash burger. Atmosphere cool, service awesome. Just didnt hit for me. The shake was yum per my kiddo -

This spot is a nice throwback to your neighborhood burger joints. Their Double Smashburger with grilled onions is nice!!! Fresh pressed with a flavor profile for the majority. If you want to bump it up a notch, bring your own season to add. Both the smashburger and fries were piping hot and did not leave a ring of grease on the paper. Their service is jovial and everyone seemed to be vibing with the music playing in the background. The establishment is constantly being cleaned by the door attendants. The strawberry shake was ok, I think I will try it without whip cream next time and see if they have scoops of strawberries to add to the bottom. Try the sunset view from the second level!!

Amazing loaded fries. Fast and friendly service. Lots of parking available in a connected lot and another lot across the street

I had opted for a beef burger with a side of chili cheese tater tots to share. The burger is quite large and filled generously with whatever add-ins you check off so it was very filling for me. I went with two 2oz patties, but considering the size, I'd opt for a single 2 oz patty if I go back. For my burger I also added scallion aioli which didn't have a strong green onion flavor but was still nice and added creaminess to the burger overall. The tater tots were super crispy, and the chili cheese topping was nice. I had gone shortly after they opened and it wasn't super busy but it started to quickly fill up around 11:30-12. Decent amount of tables and good parking situation outside

I was extremely excited to give this place a shot and, after failing to try it about a month ago…read moredue to them being out of falafel patties, I finally got to try it this past weekend and honestly I was very much underwhelmed (I even called before going to make sure they hadn't run out of falafel patties this time). To start off with a positive, I thought the falafel patty had a really great taste and was absolutely the highlight of the burger. But outside of that the burger and the toppings I ordered just didn't work as well as I would've liked. I ordered my burger with mushrooms and sauteed onions, both toppings I know I absolutely love from making burgers at home and from other spots, but neither added much. At first I was worried that the falafel was overpowering them both but upon eating them by themselves they just lacked taste. We also got the scallion aioli on the burger and I never got a hint of it at any point. All in all, the burger was very much mediocre outside of the patty. We also got fries with the burger and while they absolutely had some potential they were extremely over seasoned. Any appreciation for the seasonings in a vacuum was immediately overshadowed by how salty they were. We also ordered the Sambal Mayo as a dipping sauce and while it did help subdue the insane salt level and overall tasted quite good, upon writing this review I found out by looking at their online menu that it contained some amount of shrimp. This information is nowhere to be seen on the ordering slip and wasn't mentioned when I handed it over to the person working at the cash register. And while I definitely accept some level of responsibility for not doing my due diligence and asking or letting them know of my dietary restrictions, it's still an extremely frustrating thing to have happen as both a vegetarian and someone with a mild shellfish allergy. If for whatever reason the online menu is out of date or I missed an obvious indication of it containing shrimp somewhere I am more than happy to edit my review.

I went with the Double Good Burger at Johnny Good Burger, and honestly... it was surprisingly good. Perfectly smashed patties with those crispy edges, juicy inside, and well-balanced flavors that didn't feel overcomplicated. Sometimes simple just works--and this definitely did. The fries deserve their own shoutout: extra crispy, hot, and downright addictive. No soggy sadness here. I kept telling myself "just one more" until the tray was mysteriously empty. All in all, a very satisfying burger experience. If you're in the mood for a legit smash burger and happen to be wandering POST Houston, this one's absolutely worth stopping for.

There were no other customers at the time, but that's to be expected for a slow Monday. The menu is quite simple with just 4 different entrees, 3 different ways to order fries, and a few soft drink options in a cold case. Everything here is a la carte but there is a combo option where you can save about $3 off the regular menu pricing. I chose the "Double Good" and added a patty for $3 more figuring the patties are most likely very thin. The burger comes with lettuce, onion tomato, pickles and special sauce. I subbed the American for Swiss, but the Swiss ended up being a Swiss-American blend, so it tasted mostly like American cheese which I hate. I keep having bad luck with Swiss lately. The patty is about 1/4 lb and tastes similar to a home cooked burger. I ended up setting the burger down and just eating the patty with a fork since I didn't like the taste of the cheese, sauce, or the entire burger as a whole after a handful of bites. Overall, I'm glad I finally tried it but this is not a burger I would come back for, especially at this price point.

Clutch City Grill sits next to Burger Chan (the most recent title holder of best burger for my son) but this Sunday, they were not open so we tried the one we didn't try last time--CCG. And let me just say that this place tucked away inside a collective indoor food concession aka The Conservatory Galleria, has every right to boldly don the clutch city burger title. Inside this perfectly grilled almost Hawaiian role type hint of sweet homemade bun is a masterclass of burger perfection, made right in front of you and to your liking based on your selections from the order tap screens. While, waiting, I looked at everything I didn't order as it was being served and I'm almost certain that anything you order at CCG is delicious. Presentation is superb because others were sitting with large selections in front of them that caused me a bit of buyers remorse--I couldn't decide. The vibe is chill enough to talk to the grill master while my son was figuring out his massive burger order--he randomly had a hash brown added to a patty melt. And ordered something to take home or in case one order wasn't enough for the teen appetite. But the food is massive. I cannot stress that enough. Portions of everything there are beyond generous from what we saw and this is the kind of place where there's delivery guys picking up, people working on their laptops and the average joe grabbing takeout after work as well as families having dinner but not crowded. We sat and reflected on a great shopping day in a chill environment and reminisced on the old days of Galleria area last minute back to school night before/we should do this more type of memories in the making. The take something to go plus my own leftover (cutting the burger in half is an open from the order touch screen) and it passed the ultimate test of being really good cold the next day. This place begs the question--where is everybody? I can't be the only one who knows about it. But also was inviting enough to silently confirm that I think we've found our place.
