    Triple bacon cheeseburger

Omgoodness DEE-licious! We had great big burgers and crispy fries. Triple bacon cheeseburger and chili cheese crinkle fries. Bacon Blue cheese w/onion rings. Cheeseburger with crinkle fries mozzarella sticks were great too. Crispy outside and the cheese pull was three feet so the cheese was perfectly cooked

We stopped in for a quick snack while out running around for the day. It's conveniently located & easy enough to get in & out of. I ordered mozzarella sticks & my mother got a burger. The staff was pretty friendly, our order was correct, and it came out in a fairly timely manner. It wasn't the most amazing food I'd ever had in my life, but it did the trick. It's not a bad option, especially in a small town with a limited variety.

And so the tour of Foodie Heaven (Murphy, NC) continues. Daily made, fresh, ice cold, coleslaw chopped into tiny crunchy, refreshing bites... oh boy! Please get the coleslaw, you will thank me (and Burger Boy) for this little container of love. I ordered the cheeseburger with blue cheese crumbles instead of the standard cheddar and hubby had the hamburger and crinkle fries. Homemade, misshapen (which means they haven't manhandled them to death) patties that aren't filled with seasonings and odd flavors that jump out to surprise you at inopportune times. As good as you make at home on the grill but without the effort and clean up. Just an outstanding all-American burger that are so hard to find anymore. The fries were big fat crinkle cut like Grandma used to make, and not too done so the innards have turned to mush. Wonderful experience all around. It made us realize just how few Mom & Pop restaurants are out there any more and the massive difference between these little goldmines and the monster chains we all tend to frequent far too often.

Great burger place! Reminds me of the type of restaurants from the 70's and 80's. Definitely won't find any snowflakes either :)

I always get the double mushroom and Swiss Burger. It's delicious. I'm hungry now. Think I'll go to Burger Boy again for lunch.

Another 15 minutes, waved the server, asked how much longer? Told us that one of the chefs did not come to work today, and there running behind. Been there almost one hour, no food and the oriental lady, the maître D was on her phone laying down on the stairs could care less. Got up and left total time over one hour no food. When we entered the restaurant, they should've told us that they were running way behind. We would've went someplace else. Very bad customer service. Never again!

It came from an episode of the All In The Family tv show. Archie told a story about being so poor, at one point as a kid he had just one shoe and one boot. Shoe. Boot. The kid's nicknamed him ShoeBootie. Well alright. Loved the decor and atmosphere. We sat in a downstairs booth in the main first aisle. Cozy and great for people watching. When the a/c kicked on it got a tad chilly but I didn't mind. I started out with a bowl of the Lobster Bisque. Absolutely delicious. Nice chunks of sweet lobster meat. Semi-creamy with a hint of heat spice. The three of us shared a Baked Crab, Artichoke & Spinach Dip. It was very good. Not a lot of crab taste I thought. I loved the spinach tortilla chips. Thin, lightly fried, they broke nicely. I opted for the Prime Rib Philly. Dipped into a cup of Au Jus, just right. One friend got the Cranberry Turkey Melt. She enjoyed it. Her daughter got the Fish & Chips. The fish, cod, was bland and tasteless, even with the fried tempura batter. I tried a bite, agreed it lacked flavor. Overall a nice midday lunch experience.

She disappeared into the kitchen and came back with the menus a while later. We ordered margaritas. We noticed our server making the margaritas. Wow! She is a bartender too? Welp, that was short lived. The margaritas were clear ice. No flavor, nada. Our server had by then disappeared, so we tried to flag down other servers...but they quickly just passed our table. Legends needs to introduce the "team" attitude amongst their servers just like Murphy's chophouse staff, but I digress. Our server finally appeared again at our table, and we told her about the margaritas. She quickly said "I told you they were awful!" Before I could respond she quickly added "Oh no, I told that other table that!". She suggested different drinks, and we agreed. She went to the bar, made them, and delivered them. They were awful. We stuck with water after that. Legends needs to have actual, certified and trained bartenders working. That would also have helped our server SERVE better, as she had to keep diverting to the bar to make drinks for her various tables. We inquired about the Southwestern egg rolls, she said "those come frozen, they aren't made here". So we ordered the chips and queso dip which she said were "made in house". The queso dip was bland. And during our visit, our server kept dropping some vulgar words, which we felt was inappropriate for a server to use while serving patrons in a restaurant. We have loved Perrone's, Poor Parsons, and Murphy's Chophouse. We won't be returning to or recommending Legends.

We were just past the lunch crowd at 1:11 arrival on a Thursday, but there was still a decent crowd in the restaurant. Booths are big, room for eight regular sized folk. We were only two. Collard greens were on the menu today as was potato skin fingers and Brunswick stew. I chose the brisket plate, wet, with collards and baked beans. My wife got the same with collards and potato skins. Each of those was a premium side for an extra $2.50, but well worth it. Every single thing we ate was a 10 out of 10. We loved the collards,, tender, served with hot pepper vinegar, as the Good Lord intended and not sweet, like the heretics that put brown sugar in their collards. The brisket was Smokey and tender and perfectly seasoned, add a bit of hot bbq sauce. Baked beans were sweet, as they should be, and had some meat chunks in there, again, as they ought. A slice of Texas Toast accompanied. We were initially overlooked as our server, Robin, didn't know that we had been seated. She was apologetic about our three minute wait - which tells you, Robin is a great server! I mean, it was only three minutes, but she took our drink order and our food order at the same time, immediately served drinks and 15 minutes later served our food. The space will fit a lot of folks. This was an excellent lunch choice, good for crowds, good for single diners too. It was so good, we figured it's only 87 miles from our home in Greenville, SC and could be an occasional day trip destination for lunch. Or, we need to convince the family to open up a Greenville location. There's an idea. Don't hesitate to dine here, and consider bringing a cooler for some "to go" orders for later. You won't regret it.
