This is easily the best burger place in the Dallas area! The burgers from the bun to the meat are great quality! The onion rings are awesome! The fries I do wish were crisper but I get onion rings anyway so I doesn't really matter to me. The soda comes in a huge glass with Sonic ice! If you complain about this place then your obviously brain damaged! Service is not a 5 but I love the burgers! I would rather get bad service and great food over great service and crappie food any day of the week period! This is still somewhat fast food. Although their food is great the workers at this location are not nice people at all. We have small children here and order delivery several times a week. I have been yelled at over the phone by a worker because he messed up the order and then refused to send out the correct order or reimburse me. They also say they deliver anytime, but there are times you call and they decide they just aren't going to be doing that. What happened to the customer is right or a little common decency when you mess up? They won't even put a manager on the phone. My children and I love the food, but because of the incompetence of the workers we will no longer be eating from this location. read more

Much nicer than the burger Island that is in Richardson. This one is an actual sit down restaurant. The prices are a little higher than I like to pay for a burger and fries (2 burgers, 2 fries, 2 drinks = 18 bucks + tip) but it was a very good burger. They dont skimp on the bacon either. I would still rather have a burger from Burgers & BBQ, but if im in the mood to be waited on I will give Burger Island another go. Bonus points for a delivery option. read more

Above average burgers. Jungle burger is my favorite. This location is hands down the nicest of the four locations I've eaten at.

You need to order the jungle burger with everything on it except add chicken fried steak. Don't replace the meat with it just add it. To be honest I get this every time and I've seen others order it as well and it needs to be a menu item. It's honestly the best combo you'll have. We came in at 9:30pm to order food to go and instead of being greeted or asked if we would like to order food, we were quickly told that they will close promptly at 10pm. This is our go to burger place, satisfies every time. My favorite is the jalapeno cheeseburger. Great flavor, juicy and you certainly will not leave hungry. I go here on a pretty regular basis when I am in Rowlett and it appears otherwise ok. The food is pretty good but it is a little expensive.

Delicious food, and generous portions make for some enjoyable meals here. Best part for me is that they deliver, as I'm disabled and unable to go out for meals. Their prices are reasonable for what you get. Their salads are huge... plenty for two separate meals, and chock full of every ingredient. They have no problem making it to order either. The best thing on their menu for me is the fried mushrooms. Always delivered piping hot and juicy, with a crunchy breading. Their sandwiches are big enough to share and also come fully loaded. I have had a couple of occasions when the meat was overcooked on the burgers, but not often enough to keep from ordering again. They also offer a wide variety of burgers and other sandwiches. Their appetizers include everything from the mushrooms to nachos, quesadillas, fries, fish, and chicken. They only have a small sampling of desserts, but the funnel fries are a favorite. I can easily recommend this place for variety, quality, quantity, and value. read more

They served my sweet potatoes burnt. I told the wairess that she should not serve burnt fries. It's pretty bad that the cook and the waitress thought that was burbt sweet potatoes are acceptible. Neither the waitress or the manager apologized or bothered to remove the potatoes from my bill!! Never go there again!! Terrible service!! read more

This place has the best sides in the business and is just so close to being the best overall burger joint! Unfortunately, my burger patties have been consistently too thin, overcooked and dry every time. What I've noticed is that the cooks not only over- season the meat but they always press down on it during cooking to try and speed up the cooking process. This squeezes out all of the fat and dries out the patties!!! If they would just shape the burger patties from the start and then leave them alone during the cooking process this place would have a shot at burger competitions!!! I just hope the owners will read posts like this and take the cooking process a little more seriously. Keep the burger choices, keep the sides, but teach the cooks to prep and cook the patties properly! This place would then be a gold mine!!! read more

We tried this place out Friday night for dinner, myself, husband and 4 year old daughter. We really liked the food and our waiter was good. I had the guacamole burger and didn't love it, but overall it was okay. My husband had the double cheeseburger and thought is was great. My daughter had the fried shrimp kids meal, it was so good! I ate one of her shrimp and wished I had gotten it. You get a lot of food for your money here. We will definitely be back! read more

We came here because we'd heard the burgers were good and we assumed it would be relatively fast. We sat down, ordered our drinks and burgers... and then waited. Over an hour later we had not seen our waiter - no food, no drink refills. I saw him standing up by the food counter for ages, not talking to anyone nor waiting on other tables, so I approached them asked if our food would be up soon and if we could get more drinks. He gave me a blank stare and a "yeah...?" and that was it. We did eventually get our food, still no drinks. Waiter asked if we would like ranch. "Yes please, and those drinks we asked for." And that was it! No ranch, never got more drinks. He even had the nerve to ask if we wanted to-go cups when he brought the bill. For what?? We really like Burger Island in Rowlett. We have been there at least 10 times over the last 8-12 months and have always found the food to be delicious. But then, we are stuck in a rut getting a hamburger and onion rings each time but once. The burgers are old fashioned, greasy burgers and very large. If you are on a diet, try one of their salads which are also great. Each time I go I try a different variation with different toppings. They also have other sandwiches, great appetizers and much more. Something for everyone in your group. As some may have said, the service might be a little slow, but the staff is cooking these hamburgers at the time you order to your specifications and their burger meat is so huge that it takes a few minutes to cook.
