Two large sodas and two large smoke-flavored coke icees
    Megan K.

We are staying at the DoubleTree inn, so the fact that we could have walked was nice. There were, however, some negatives as well. Firstly, the fries were a overly salty, but so is my sister's attitude, so I'm used to that. It's fine. Secondly, the Icees were a huge let down. I wasn't expecting them to astonish me. Partly frozen sodas are nothing new. However, when I pay for Coke Icees, that's what I expect them to taste like. These tasted like someone was blowing cigarette smoke into the machine purely out of spite. That is not fine. I wish I could say one of the positives is that it had a drive through. After a long, stressful day, all we wanted to do was eat some comfort food (e.g. chicken nuggets) and enjoy the convenience of a drive through window. Unfortunately, that wasa luxury we were not extended. The lady working the window seemed almost competent, and was very irritated at us. I wish I had gone to McDonald's.

a grilled chicken sandwich with lettuce and tomato
    Dave R.

I asked the kid taking orders if they had any chicken that wasn't fried. He tells me the crispy chicken isn't fried. I'm looking up at the menu showing Crispy Chicken, and it's clearly deep fried. I point to it, and asked if he's absolutely sure that that piece of chicken doesn't go in a fryer. He says hold on let me ask. He comes back about a minute later with another guy and they say yes we have chicken that isn't fried. But they wanted to know if I was absolutely sure that I didn't want chicken that's fried. It was almost like they were trying to convince me to eat fried chicken over grilled chicken. I may be expecting too much, but if you're taking orders at Burger King it would seem that you should know if you've got chicken that's fried or not fried. Maybe he was new to the job. In the end, the limp-lettuced sandwich was just ok. Maybe I should have ordered the crispy chicken.

First time in Minnesota. Meeting my girlfriend's parents and two brothers for the first time.. I…read morehad just won a meat raffle. Caught $100 ticket on a pull tab. Then, my beautiful girlfriend orders White Castle to be delivered to the hotel we were staying at. I can tell you that I will never underestimate a small man when if I fight one again. That little slider took control of my gut. I have taken 30 turds in three days. Like a clown car for poop. And when I wipe it. It doesn't stop. It's like wiping a marker. Over and over and over I wipe. Still poop. I think WC stands for water closet, not White Castle. I literally have now named my parasite that came into my body via a White Castle slider. I even flew it home with it, it is still there. Slider carry on. I knocked down a probiotic. It was expired. Which added to their army. My bad. I'm getting attacked by a slider. Seriously. I think they gave me a bad one because I wasn't from Minnesota. Which is cool. I get it. So I will tell you all. If you're not from Minnesota, pay more respect to White Castle. Gnarly things come in small packages. I'm gonna give it five stars because it worked. White castle sliders are legit. WC, please don't mess with me if I come back to Minnesota. Remember...."Nick is your friend". I did nothing to you. Just know that I will come back and pay respect to the slider this next time around. Five stars all around. Have not been able to trust a fart since that slider. Rolaids is making a grip off of that slider. They should think about a collab. Respect for the slider. I'm coming back. Cuz it actually tasted great. Like a moth to a flame. I'll be back. I am now a Vikings fan. Update. For anyone that took the time to read this review. I thank you. Understand that I spent more time in the WC the first 2 minutes that it took you to read this review. That being said, I feel obligated to update all of you. It's been four days (rounding up). I have lost two pairs of my favorite underwear, lost 10 pounds, 9 friends, my job and have been to my local Costco three times for more TP. Thinking Chamin should collab with WC, alongside Rollaids. Anyway, I know you are all thinking it. Conspiracy wise. But, nah. Just like we landed on the moon, it happened. Just happy that Neal Armstrong didn't hit up White Castle before his trip. Russia would have gotten there first. Anyway, I'm all good. The jello in the ICU isn't that bad. Nurses and murses are nice. I have good insurance. If I don't make it. I hope I go to White Castle in my afterlife. That loose end (loose bowels). Need to close them. We are not here for a long time, we are here for a White Castle time.. Didn't want to share this. I hope she is reading this right now. My beautiful girlfriend, whom I was a slider away from proposing to, left me. The last time I got any action was when my fingers poked through the toilet paper. Baby, if I make it. I promise, never to poop this much again. I love you. Update. It might be to no avail. The slider ate my kidneys. Gallbladder and finally died trying to eat my liver. Bad decision. On both of our parts. But, in all fairness, no one likes a quitter On a bright note, if I survive, I will catch a handicap parking placard. Which is cool. I am starting a gofund me page. I will send White Castle sliders to everyone i do not like. I may be able to set it up where I can send sliders to your enemies. But just like WC sliders, there are no guarantees. Pray for me. Update. Good news bad news. Turns out their sliders are contagious. That's the bad news. The good news is that you don't have to wear a mask on your face like during g COVID. You will need to wear a mask on your rear ends. But, how would they police that? Right? I think we are good. Less pink eye cases at least. Don't want to even think about how they will test for the slider pandemic. Not my problem, if I survive, I will have antibodies (that smell like a used minivan coupled with burnt onions). Which is cool. In keeping with 2026, please know that I now identify as a slider. My pronouns are meat, bun, onions. Be safe out there. Respect the slider Update. Day 6. Finally released from Hospital. Can't feel my face still, hoping I didn't catch belz palsy. My phone still won't unlock, via facial recognition., because it doesn't recognize me. Went to a local restaurant that serves sliders. I carry one with me now. Only way to get my iPhone to unlock, via facial recognition. I am worried about turning into a slider. My new name I use is now Frank, a man between two buns sans arms and legs. Cashed a check at the bank, they wouldn't take my drivers license as ID. I had to pull out the slider, it worked. Which is cool. When I close my eyes, all sliders. My dreams are now all sliders. Sliders come in mysterious ways. It's life. Please do not worry about me. I will be fine. My couch pulls out, but my slider won't

I honestly had zero interaction with anyone, we ordered food from the kiosk and they called my name when it was ready.  I love when technology is implemented for fast and easy service, but it does suck when you don't have any human interaction. We ended up waiting in the drive thru line for 10-15 minutes. Upon ordering we had made up our mind on what we wanted to place for our order. I asked for 2 four piece chicken strips, no meal, an eight piece nugget, no meal and a straw berry frosted lemonade. Once I got home I was unpleasantly surprised that our order was incorrect. No worries people make mistakes. When I gave the store a call no one picked up so I left message. Today 3/10/2026 I went in to address my issue to a manager. When I spoke to the cashier she told me to wait while she got the manager. While waiting in line I noticed the manager was standing around free of doing any tasks. The nice lady at the cash register went up to him with my receipt to tell him that I came in for a refund. He then sent which seemed to be the shift-lead to come talk with me. I told her the issue and she went back to the manager to ask what to do? All I wanted was a refund. I find the game of telephone when there is a unsatisfied customer to add insult to the problem. The shift-lead was a nice lady as well but she said that management is unable to refund my order. I found that to be unprofessional since I came into the location within 24 hours of ordering from here. She said that management does not refund orders after the day is done. The thing is I ordered at 8:13pm and by the time I got home it was past 8:30pm so I gave them a call to address my issue, which no picked up. Today when I went in I asked if their phone works which the shift-lead said yes. To verify that I actually called the store she asked me to recall in the moment to be sure. Before doing so I showed my phone call log which verified I called at 8:35pm. I also left a voicemail message so that there wouldn't be any confusion today (3/10) when I went in. Today when speaking with the shift-lead I was informed that their voicemail isn't available for them to listen to?? At this point I was beyond dissatisfied with this locations lack of professionalism. I asked for my refund because I did everything possible on my end to verify that I'm telling the truth. I was feeling gas lit as if I did something wrong. I guess I should've verified that my order was correct before going home but in reality after paying money for a service I thought it'd be done for me. I guess it's my fault for not making sure in the moment they did their job correctly. Once I got home I clearly realized that they were not doing their job correctly so I called to address. My call was not answered even though the shift lead and I both heard their phone does ring lol. It's fine again people make mistakes but what isn't fine is the lack of accountability and professionalism that took place afterwards. Realistically this should've been resolved by refunding my payment and speaking with a manager, which neither happened. I've been a manager for multiple companies and never would I find the "customer service" that was given to me to be professional, nor acceptable. It's funny given the company "chick fil a" which prides themselves on good customer service and making it a "pleasant" experience to have this disregard for resolving a customer complaint. Their resolution to this was to give me a "Be our guest" card which has 3 listed items on it, none of these items contain the actual item they messed up on. All of this could've been resolved satisfactorily by either picking up the phone the night of me calling or by refunding me the following day. Again neither of these things happened!

Morts in Golden Valley used to be good, but then it went downhill and closed in 2023. Wally's is a funny, little place. First of all, it's located inside the Southtown Office Park Building. Go to the back (south) side of the building, go inside the door and it's immediately on the right. It's only open for lunch and it's closed on Saturdays. You will find it off of 494 on Penn Avenue. Wally's does that 1950's vibe and they specialize not only in Roast Beef, but also ham, turkey and a variety of soups. They also have daily specials as well as Blue plate, Red plate, and Green plate specials. One is meat loaf, one is roast beef, and one is turkey. They explain which is which on their website, but not on their restaurant board, which is insane, but is one of their quirks. Most importantly, the food tastes home-made, is excellent in terms of quality and taste and the prices are reasonable. C'mon, what more do you want? They have good milkshakes and tasty fries too.
