Every time I walked into this location and saw a man in a tie (assuming the manager or the owner) working in the back, I always had an uncomfortable feeling knowing that this man might go into one of his many rages in front of everybody. It made me cringe whenever the man scolded the employees in front of all the customers on the littlest of things and then immediately switches his tone and talks to the customers with a smile on his face telling us that our orders were ready. This was not just one incident. This happened many times! Not only does his screaming make me feel uncomfortable, but seeing the fear in the employees' faces after he's done yelling at them puts me in a more nervous state of mind. I can only image how the poor employees felt every time that man yelled at them. It's no wonder why with almost every visit I seemed to have noticed a different crew working in the back (this place must have a HUGE turnover.) This behavior is completely unacceptable and it's the main reason why I stopped going altogether. If that's a manager of that store, please fire him! If that's the owner of the establishment yelling so loudly in front of the customers, then it's a wonder how this place is still in business. read more

I went through the drive-thru before my job interview for job #3. We were happy about the free Whopper Wednesday. We ordered 2 Whoppers and a drink. We were really happy until we were at the window. The rather large male manager looked at our order and got upset. He was EXTREMELY loud about the free Whoppers. He also said, "tell them to go to San Luis Obispo". He was being arrogant, rude and cocky. I was mortified. I work 2 jobs and he made me feel lower than pond scum. I was so upset. I told my husband that we will NOT returning to this location. I work in hospitality and retail and both of those industries rely HEAVILY on excellent customer service. Shame on the manager for having a tantrum and for not putting on his big boy pants. I understand having a bad day but letting paying customers hear this rant, shows your true colors. This location was my favorite location but now, I will avoid it at all costs. I feel sorry for all the people that has to work with this guy. If the manager can't control his temper, stress or anger; then maybe he should not be working in the restaurant. read more

This ain't fast food, this is mediocre food that takes forever. I made a huge mistake in judgement by heading to the drive through here on Tuesday at lunch time. I should have known better. The line took what seemed like forever and I was late back to work. Once you get stuck in the drive through line you might as well wait it out. All I got was a crummy burger, some burnt fries, no kechup which they forgot, and a chewing out by my manager. read more

This past week my little brother went in for dine in at this restaurant mid morning and sadly and unfortunately passed away while sitting in a booth around 2 pm as for as the coroner can tell. My brother was finally noticed at 11 pm by the staff at their closing time. He sat in their resturant for 9 hrs. deceased. I am trying to wrap my thoughts of how a manager or employees could not have noticed him. And there were customers who i am sure dined in there as well which is appalling. Do these employees and their manager do not care about their resturant? Are they following the CDC guidelines for safety and health of their customers and employees. If they were, they would have noticed a man sitting there for 12 hours. That is the least of the problem here. Most importantly, Burger King while we have all been through some difficult life situations this year, I find that your lack of sensitivity, caring and helping to bring back some humanity and caring within the food service is deplorable. I am contacting your corporate office to report the mismanagement in this resturant and the incident that happened. I may never receive any response back but at least I was able to get this out in some form of platform. Burger King I will be the one person who voice my opinion of your disgusting resturant's. In most locations, Burger King has good-tasting sandwiches and fries. I'm not a huge fan of the frypods, which I think is a scam to sell smaller portions of fries. However, I have to take out half a star for this location because they have strict rationing on the condiments and napkins. I can't grab as much ketchup or napkins as I want (for the record, I grab what I can use and take the excess home)! And the other sauces (i.e. BBQ, ranch, etc.) are given out based on how much you order (i.e. strict rationing). To make it worse, if you eat in, and you buy a drink, you're only allowed one refill. To be honest, I think the owner of this franchise is cutting costs, but it's a little extreme in my opinion. read more

I don't know what's happened to this Burger King. It seems like it's been let go. Looks dirty and at least the last couple of times. The bathrooms were a complete mess. I've watched to see if anyone comes out to clean while eating in their dinning room, but I've never seen anyone come from the back. And this is at times the place is not busy. I'm scared to see what their kitchen is like? We decided not to go back as there is plenty of other fast food place in the area. read more

Very disappointing, this used to be a decent place to get a burger. I don't know if the owners sold or if it's just new management or lack thereof management but the bacon double cheeseburger that I got was absolutely inedible tasted old, like really old. My dog doesn't even want it. When I received my bacon double cheeseburger it was not a double cheeseburger it was a single. The large fry I ordered well done was cooked the same way as all the rest (not well done) the lady very politely had this fixed. Unfortunately the fries we're still cooked like normal fries nothing well done about them. The new burger didn't have any cheese and my heavy pickle was a total of two pickle chips. The lady trying to take care of this had great customer service and was very polite but her fellow employees failed her. It seems like she was the only one actually working I felt bad for her. Now I feel bad for the business having employees that just don't care working is like having no employees at all! read more

I don't usually find myself at Burger King on the corner of Grand Avenue and Oak Park on a Friday night. Tonight, however, was one such occasion. "What should I have? Where should I go?", I thought to myself, on the long commute home. Knowing I would be rather late getting back into town, it was clear to me that my options were limited. Taco Bell? Nah, too predictable (If you're lucky), Jack in the Box? Psh, I always get that! Then, as I reached the crest of the hill looking down upon Grover Beach in all of its dimly lit glory, it dawned on me...why not go to Burger King? I hadn't been there in some time, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. As I entered the store the cashier was assisting the other team members with a drive-through order, seeing as how the night crew was minimally staffed. "No problem", I thought to myself, "I'm not in a hurry". There were several others in line ahead of me, however, and this seemed a daunting reality. To my relief the cashier appeared before I had any time to worry and got to my order rather quickly. His name was Branden and he happened to be unusually friendly and helpful for a fast food employee. Unfamiliar with their menu after a long Burger King hiatus, I asked him for suggestions and he kindly helped me find something perfect for me, and at a reasonable price as well! I really appreciated his fast and friendly service which made my experience as painless as possible. As I waited in line I also noticed that they seem to have made progress with their remodel, which looks much more modern and aesthetic than it used to in there. Everything was very clean and I got my food in a reasonable, though not worryingly fast (I'm looking at you, McDonald's) time frame. Next time I need to grab some late night food Burger King will definitely be at the top of my list! read more

The General Manager at this location is a joke. Our order wasn't right and he had a fit because we wanted what we ordered. Ummm... that's what we asked for and paid for. It's your staffs fault and your responsibility to make it right. The Manger proceeded to talk shit about my husband as he sat eating his lunch (we could clearly hear from the dining area). When my Husband approached him to ask what the problem was, he made 100 different excuses (short staffed, tired, etc.). None of which are our concern. He proceeded to try to shake my Husbands hand but wouldn't provide the Owner or Area Managers contact info. What a coward. We will never return here. read more

I go to this location for their eggnormous breakfast burritos without meat because their consistent (proportions, accuracy and presentation). I normally wouldn't give a fast food chain a review, but this time I thought I should. I brought my little nieces here for lunch today, when I walked in the place was spotless! The cashier was quick to help me out even though he was busy. I placed my order and I got my order pretty quickly and got it right away. When I went back to order some cookies for my nieces Raymond the shift supervisor was nice enough to suggest a better value on cookies then what I was ordering. I truly appreciate his suggestions. Visited the other day with my daughter and was horrified as we sat there listening to the man in charge (manager, owner....not sure) yelling and talking down to all the KIDS that work there. Although a fast food restaurant, every time I have eaten here the food is always fresh. The prices are very affordable. We bought 2 whopper meals, an eggnormous combo, 6 tacos, 3 orders of pancakes, 2 ten piece nuggets, 2 bacon croissant sandwiches, 2 value drinks and an ice cream cone and it was 35 bucks!!!! Pretty affordable when feeding 4 boys 10 and older. But the best thing about this BK is how friendly the service always is. I really like this BK!! read more

This location needs new management or something. The drive thru is the slowest I've been to, if they even give you the food at the window. I've only been here a few times and at least half of those times, I was asked to pull around to the front and wait for them to bring my food out. I tell them no, there is no one behind me i'll be fine right here. Im pulling straight out and hanging a right down grand ave. This is getting pretty annoying as this is the 5th time they have done it. Agian i told them no, there isn't anyone behind me. One kid got all mouthy with me.
