I have to say that I was disappointed in the size and taste of the burger patty - ordering my burger on Texas toast was my choice and was a mistake. The patty was not large enough to be placed on Texas toast and lacked any flavor - like it wasn't seasoned for taste. There was one (1) leaf of lettuce on the sandwich, which also looked a bit sad on Texas toast. The fries were good, but the area where you are supposed to fix your drink smelled unpleasant - like sewage, so there was that. Any how, I guess we will continue looking for holy grail somewhere else. read more

Went to NASA and decided to have lunch when we left. Found this place not far from there. Service was awesome and the burgers were amazing! My daughter had the kids burger and she loved it! You can add any bun,meat and toppings! It's customizable, but my husband and I went with their specialty burgers. The Mac Daddy was so good and wished I had ordered it, but I did really enjoy my mushrooms swiss on the toasted onion bun! We saw the overblown Facebook advertising, and that will get people there one time, but for burger lovers like us, we have way too many burger options locally to return here. We got two different burgers, and they were just decent burgers. They will take your order and your money, but after that, no time for you. Just talking basic condiments, napkins, info, etc. Also maybe worst of all is that they have MULTIPLE TEMPERATURES INSIDE, because you can feel the heat from the kitchen if you sit in the back, but the a/c is set on sub-zero, so good luck finding a comfort level!! My wife and I stopped by this place after visiting the NASA center. My wife got a Spicy Chicken sandwich with fries. The chicken sandwich was delicious - two juicy chicken patties. Although it was tasty, the two patties made the sandwich somewhat hard to eat. The day we went, they had a special burger, the Banana Bacon Nutella burger. Sounded intriguing, so I got that. I had cajun fries with mine. The burger was juicy, hot, and the sweetness of the nutella and banana added a completely weird but delicious texture. It may have almost been too sweet, but if you have ever had peanut butter on a burger, this is right up your alley! As for the fries, they were super hot! Usually I can eat fries right away, but I had to wait nearly 10 minutes to eat them! They were well worth the wait. Thick cut, sea salted, and delicious! This is well worth your time to visit. First time here and it was really good. I tried the Hawaiian burger. Hubby tried fiti fiti. We got a large Cajun fry but a smaller order would've been fine. Great burger and super duper messy. Tasty though. The staff was amazing and so friendly. 5 stars to them. The only thing I could possibly give a negative star for was that it smells like fish near the restrooms. Delicious and not too filling. I tend to stick to the single patty unless I am really hungry and need the double. Otherwise, it's way too filling for me. We were back here recently and the meat was not the usual quality and the patties were not sufficiently cooked. The meat was more grisly and fatty than usual. We were doing takeout, so we didn't talk to anyone about it, but it will make us less interested in returning. I'm assuming it is just a 1-off issue. We ordered the $7 meal special and wondered if that used a lesser quality meat. The fries were good and the overall burger, bun, and makeup was good aside from the meat. Also, they seem to have responded to our earlier request for ketchup cups with lids where you can just pump several cups of ketchup and put lids on them, take them to go, and dip your fries nicely, instead of squeezing out a dozen packets of ketchup onto the paper bag or wherever. Looking forward to ordering the Fiti/Fiti burger as I hadn't had one in a long while. Completely disappointed in it wasn't cooked all the way through. Dangerous as its 50% pork. Never had one not cooked through. They were not busy so rushing wasn't the issue. Yes they offered to make another one properly but I was already grossed out from the first one. I expected better. These burgers are messy (not a bad thing) and their napkins are cocktail napkins. Was told that, due to COVID, they couldn't have the rolls of paper towels like they used to. Understand that, however, there are much better (larger/durable) ones other than 5x5 cocktail napkins. So if you want bigger, durable napkins, bring them from home. Greeter and person who brought over the burger were nice. Gave a refund for the undercooked Fiti/Fiti burger though at first on receipt only. It was paid with cash so a refund necessitated cash back which when brought to their attention, they did correct. Onion rings and tater tots good. Other non-pork burger cooked well. read more

Since I've changed to a plant-based diet there have been limits to where and, obviously, what I eat. I was literally down the street from Burger Nation looking for a restaurant that had veggie-friendly food when I saw them. I honestly didn't think they were truly "vegetarian or vegan" because a lot of businesses think a salad will check that off that list for them (Ahem, no. No it does not). Well, I am happy to say that Burger Nation does indeed fit the bill for having a true plant-based option. PLUS, they make the veggie burger patty daily! HUZZAH! I'm going to be honest, I haven't had a true "burger" since probably November or earlier, and that was a meat-based burger. The store-bought veggie patties do little for me, but I'm happy to announce that Burger Nation will have my business when I am in a burger mood. This was the absolutely BEST veggie burger I've had. For homeys that use food as a coping mechanism (slide into my DMs if this is how u party, truuu thug) and have just suffered a great loss, you get the metrics I use on comfort food - if biting into the food helps you forget your problems for even a passing hot second, someone put extra special care and attention into cooking that food to produce that result in you. You just don't get that from the Whataburger. Yesterday was one of the hardest days of my life, as my dog (my best friend and constant companion of eleven years) died. I was working a temp job and the second I got the call that he had collapsed I left the temp job early and raced through traffic. The joint is in the Starbucks strip mall just past Agu if you are headed towards SCH and the Hilton (on the hospital side of NASA Rd 1, not SCH side.) They share a lot with all of the other biz in the strip mall. I walked in and was immediately greeted by a kind cashier right there at the register. No line when I walked in. I then learned from the very polite cashier something I did not spot in any of the reviews so I can be useful here - you can customize your bun, etc., at no extra charge on the burger. Now that is something this homey likes. The cashier told me it would be about ten minutes. I pulled up a chair at one of the empty tables to wait and did some light yelp app-ing including checking in (since I had already checked the biz page on the app and knew there was no check in offer) and my food was prepared much quicker than expected, five minutes. Having checked the yelp reviews (Doug M.'s is the one that ultimately sold me on coming here) in advance I knew the owner, Tony M., was an active business owner commenting on nearly every single yelp review so I spotted him in the kitchen as I picked up my food and he thanked me for visiting them. On the way out the polite cashier also called out a thanks as well. Customer service is amazing here, they take care of you. That is a huge aspect of my yelp ratings since consumers have options, so if owners/management/line workers take an attitude with you why would you put up with that? Tony understands that and makes sure you feel very welcome in an inviting environment. That is how you earn such yelp prestige (at time of writing they carry a 4.5 average on 237 reviews.) [knocks on your door at 3am] Have you heard the good word about this burger right here? Bacon Mac Daddy burger: Single (4oz) patty, kaiser bun standard, mac and cheese, bacon bits, and your choice of either pickles OR pickled jalapeños. That bun did not float the gentlesir's boat so I subbed for the jalapeño cheese bun, matched with the pickled jalapeños to be reminiscent of the UCONN College Bro's tantrum over the bacon jalapeño mac and cheese at his school. So, this monstrosity was nothing short of glorious. The bun instantly stood out as perfectly spongy to accommodate the entire divine concoction happening with this burger. With so many different things happening in the burger you might expect a weak link or two but there are none, each aspect works in perfect synergy as if this was intentional and a lot of trial and error went into the kitchen's final design on this old gal. This rivals Lankford's grim burger of mac & cheese, jalapeño, bacon, & sunny side up fried egg (which I got the ROTD for) as one of the BEST specialty burgers you can find in the Houston area. Better still, the burger is $7.96 so this is priced very well for the food quality you receive. If I was still working out of my old firm's Manhattan office in the Empire State Building a meal this quixotically delightful in Midtown would have run at least $100 more (locally at Lankford their grim burger runs $9.49) so this joint is geared up to compete/win. Staff was educated on the menu and services was swift and great. Food is made in plain view and the restaurant is clean. Food is / was not the greasy mess you get elsewhere. The stuffy burger description reminded me so much of a burger my mom and dad made at their burger joint when I was growing up as a kid. I hoped theirs could measure up, and, oh boy did it! My friend got the fitti/fitti burger, beef and chorizo style pork. Very good, very Spanish tasting. I would order this one again for myself. We shared a huge order of onion rings. They were crispy and I really liked them. The cajun sweet potato waffle fries were tasty, but I don't get any cajun seasoning from them at all. There is a sweet version of the fries, but sweet isn't my style so we skipped those. And now the damage, the one item on the menu that will do me in... ... Deep fried twinkies. With chocolate, caramel or both syrup to eat them with. If have to eat my body weight in kale 4 times over for the calories in just one of these monstrosities... But they are SO GOOD! you should try one at least once in your life! Seriously. Try it. Just... Do it. Can't talk about accessibility because we ordered takeout. A group of friends and I decided to check this place out. We had a big group, and the staff was very accommodating and allowed us to put a bunch of tables together. As you walk in, the cashier is right in front of you with the menu on a screen right above. The kitchen is open and you can basically see the magic happen. They have something for everyone on that menu. You can go with one of their creations or create your own burger. They have regular burgers, chicken sandwiches, turkey burgers and even elk burgers. They also have beer on tap! Burgers and brews, what a glorious combo! What is also neat is that you have options as far as buns, sides, and cheeses go. When I try a new burger place, I always go with a traditional cheeseburger to really judge the place. I like the fancy creations, but you really can't beat an all American burger, which happened to also be the name of that what I got. I chose a sourdough bun and American cheese and went all the way toppings. I got the combo with fries and a drink. You can add flavor to your fries so I went with Cajun fries. The order came out fairly quick. Judging by looks alone, the burger looked fantastic. I got a single patty, but it was still a hefty burger. Before I took my first bite, I observed everyone else's reactions with their first bites, and it was how I imagine how I looked as well. It was a look of pure satisfaction. The patties here are 1/4 lb. so I went with two thinking that maybe just one wouldn't be enough. My food came out less than 10 minutes later. I started with the fries first. They looked hand cut and homemade and tasted great. Nice texture and potato flavor. I wish more burger joints would serve fries like these. As I dug into the Burger for the first bite I said out loud that this is a very good burger. Nice sourdough bun, lettuce, tomato,,,crunch,,,onion,,,,damn the onion was raw. I picked out the raw onion because I Don't Like Raw Onions. That part of the order they screwed up. However, I must say that the burger was excellent! I think it was the beautiful hand formed patties flavor seasoned just right. Seriously, this was one of the best burgers I have had in a while. I think it would place in my Top 3 in the greater Houston area. It's too bad since I live 43 miles away but I must say if you are in this part of town, this is where you need to come eat burgers and fries. As soon as you walk in you are greeted by the main man working the register. It was mine and my wifes first time eating here so he went through the menu and explained each of their specialty burgers!! My wife got the All American burger with the regular fresh cut fries and a side of grilled pineapple. I got the stuffy (has chedder cheese and cream cheese inside patty/ bacon and I added mac and cheese) with the onion rings. I have to say this was one of the better burgers I have had!!
