Cheesesteak
Brad M.

We DoorDashed from SmashBros and everything hit the mark. The food came fast, hot, and wrapped up nicely. The fries were golden, crispy, and generously portioned. The cheesesteaks were packed, mine had fried onions and Cooper sharp, no extras needed. The chicken cheesesteak had both big and shredded chunks, also on a seeded roll that wasn't overdone. Great quality, great flavor. Definitely ordering again.

It was lunchtime and I was hungry so SmashBros caught my eye on Yelp. It's a tiny hole in the wall with no inside seating and very limited parking. It's more of a to go place. I got the Bro Burger and it was only $6 so I added fries for $5. The burger was fresh and delicious - served with burger sauce, pickles and fried onions on a brioche bun. The fries were tasty and portioned well for the price. My only complaint is that they were cold. That kind of ruins the taste. Cold fries are a no! Service was quick and friendly. The young lady explained the menu to me which helped me to decide. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I did feel bad for her because it was pretty cold inside! Might explain the cold fries.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will definitely try SmashBros again but when it's a little warmer outside. We DoorDashed from SmashBros and everything hit the mark. I went to one and the chicken cheesesteak tasted like wet dog food. The cheese was so runny it was practically sauce. & it was $16.50. I got violently ill after eating a burger from here. Apparently I am not the only one who has become sick either. they are not storing the meat at proper temps or cleaning their hands properly. I'm surprised they are still operating under these condition, unless you want to be throwing your guts up I do not recommend! Great food! The loaded fries were along with the burgers. Need to come back and try the wings!

Double Bro with fried onions, pickles, and burger sauce

Phenomenal burger. Just like the name, you'd expect a smash burger. I've recently joined the Church of Smash and am now a loyal disciple and fervent believer that these are the best way to cook a burger. I got the Double Bro and got exactly how it's described: cheese, fried onions, pickles, and burger sauce. It does look like you can customize it with a bunch of different options but it's not like other places where you can get any or all toppings for free (although you are paying for them in some way as that one place everyone loves to trash because it's too expensive). Certain toppings will cost anywhere from a quarter to $3 for bacon. While it does seem like they're nickel-and-diming you on the toppings, I do get it! The price without anything extra is $8 which is a pretty good value and when you think about it, adding a couple toppings will still keep it at a reasonable price. The burger had plenty of cheese that complimented it so well and the onions on it didn't overpower it at all but was enough to give it some flavor. If I had one complaint, it would be there could be more of the burger sauce. I wasn't getting it with every bite, but when I did I wish there was more because it took the burger to another level. As for the fries, I wish they were better. The only thing keeping my rating from being a 5 is because of the fries. The burger was such high quality. I enjoyed it but when I got to the fries, they just didn't meet the same standard. It's a shame this place isn't the closest for me since it's a bit out of the way. The only reason I did come here was to spite my wife who sent me a video of someone reviewing the place and I thought it'd be a good place for lunch. She was not happy... [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's also a shame this place is very small and takeout only. It'd do very well expanding to a spot that could accommodate people who wanted to eat there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Burgers are always a hit! Wings are nice and juicy with a wide variety of flavors. Always friendly and welcoming when showing up. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Taken orders to go and also eaten at the tables outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I love me a good smash burger and this place does it right!

Cheesesteak

I had the pleasure of indulging in two exceptional dishes that truly set the bar for flavor and quality. The smash burger was an absolute masterpiece--perfectly cooked with a crisp, caramelized crust and seasoned to perfection. Every bite was packed with juicy, savory goodness that left me craving more. The cheesesteak was equally impressive. The combination of tender, flavorful beef and the rich, creamy copper cheese created a perfect harmony of textures and tastes. Each bite was pure satisfaction, with the cheese melting beautifully into the meat. It's clear that great care went into preparing both dishes, and the attention to detail made for an unforgettable meal. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for top-tier comfort food done right! Service - 5 stars they made sure you were recognized and updated with food status [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance - 5 stars it's your walk in kinda of establishment. Order and enjoy![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Chicken Tenders
Linda L.

Smashbros recently opened a few months ago, and was pretty busy when we went on a weekday. We got a Double Bro Burger, French Fries, and Chicken Tenders (Garlic Parm). The burger severely reminded me of a McDonald's Big Mac; not so much the look as the burger meat is thin, but of the overall taste/sauce. The french fries were okay, and the Chicken Tenders were bad. The breading basically was coming off the tenders, and not crispy at all. Also, when we took the chicken tenders container out of the brown paper bag, we noticed the oil seeping through the bottom of the bag. The 'parking lot' is really, really small/tight, and not really a lot. Since Smashbros is on the corner of a street, a lot of people parked on the street. 1/5.

I do want to start with saying this place is fairly new, opened couple months ago. Ive been twice since they opened. The service is great, very friendly staff. The first time I went it was a Friday night and they were pretty slammed. They said food would take 20min and it did take exactly 20min. We happen to check the food before we left and we were missing a burger, the staff apologized and we were able to get our 2nd burger. I thought the burger was good, I really wanted to try the chicken cheesesteak but they happen to be out of that when we went. I got the chicken fries and they were INSANE. I definitely recommend trying them! The place is small, theres enough room for maybe 4 or 5 people to wait inside, we waited outside. They have limited parking spots but you can always grab street parking. I'll be back to try the chicken cheesesteak!

I've been here 3 times now, and I don't usually leave reviews, but I want this place to stick around! Everything I've had here has either been satisfactory or above average, and the prices are very reasonable. My only minor complaint was that the 2nd time I got a cheesesteak, the roll wasn't seeded like the first time, but I'm pretty sure I can live with that. The steak overall here is excellent, easily one of the best in South Jersey. I know for a fact they use fresh ribeye, because I saw it behind the counter. Sarcone's roll and Cooper Sharp are the golden standard in my opinion. I'd put this steak up against Chick's Deli, Donkey's, or Corson's in Haddonfield as some of my favorites in the SJ area. Otherwise, the burgers are very solid, and the Mac and Cheese bites are NUTS. I think they use a little liquid smoke in there or something, because they had a little smoky flavor to them.

My foodie bestie and I added Kid Rips to our must try list years ago and finally got around to…read moretrying it. Parking was a challenge on a Friday night as every space was full and turning around in the back lot involves making a k turn around the other vehicles who are also looking for a spot. We ended up parking down the street and walking over. We were seated immediately, as the bar has ample seating, both high tops and regular tables. My bff wasn't in the mood for a cocktail so we opted for Arnold palmers. Now, I am a HUGE avocado fan and I had heard about their infamous avocado fries so I was super excited about trying them. That may or may not have been the main reason for my visit. The avocado fries are fresh large slices of avocado breaded in panko and fried with a sweet and tangy spicy mayo sauce. I loved them but my bff wasn't as excited. He informed me he isn't a huge fresh avocado fan, so this one is for the avocado lovers. We also opted for the chicken parm rollers which is described as "Chicken mixed with ricotta cheese, herbs and spices rolled in panko breadcrumbs served with house made marinara and shaved parmesan" - they are chicken meatballs. We expected something else and now that we've had them and I re-read the description I'm not sure what we had in mind but it wasn't this. They were just okay. I think if they were placed on a plate with seasoned whipped ricotta and drizzled with pesto it could boost the flavor experience. For our entrees my bff got the chicken strips with the sweet and sassy sauce and I opted for the KO burger. My KO burger was delicious. The seeded brioche bun was buttery and fresh and the burger itself was flavorful. The fries were also fantastic. Fresh cut and sprinkled with a sweet seasoning, I didn't even feel the need to add ketchup or a side of aioli or anything. They were perfect. I didn't try my bffs chicken tenders but the sweet and sassy sauce tasted just like buffalo sauce. Pretty sure it was the wrong sauce but he didn't say anything to our server so that's on us. If you are looking for a bar to hang out and watch sports, get a drink, and have a great burger, I'd recommend this place - but maybe uber there.

Kid Rip's Tavern is a really fun spot with great food, a huge bar, and a lively atmosphere. The…read morefood is consistently very good -- the burgers are huge, the fries are amazing, and the crab fries (made with real crab meat) are absolutely delicious... and that's coming from someone who doesn't even like crab all that much. One of the most fun things on the menu is their chicken "thumbs," which are shaped like little hands -- I wish I took a picture because they're great and definitely something you don't see everywhere. Service can be a little hit or miss, but not because the staff isn't working hard -- it's a big place and when it gets busy, it really gets busy, and they sometimes seem a bit understaffed for the rush. That said, everyone is always very friendly, which makes a big difference and keeps the experience positive. They also have a huge bar with several beers on tap, great specialty drinks, and drink specials, so it's a great place to hang out with friends and have a good time. Overall, definitely worth a visit. Just maybe don't go if you're in a big rush -- go when you have time to relax, enjoy the atmosphere, and have a good meal.
