    Yes, Muy Delicioso!!!

I have to stop and think about why I didn't give this place 5 stars.....hold on I'll be right back .....Ok I know know. Earlier I was reading some local reviews from a Yelper and noticed theyre inclined to give five stars for 90 percent of the reviews they post. Not cool. I take reviews seriously especially the all important Star rating. All that being said, we all know deliciousness is in the eye of the beholder. However, if you get real, its just not that hard to rate a food experience accurately enough, that most rational Yelpers out there, will have a reasonable idea what to expect. Hence, the 4 stars which I believe is about as strong as you can get. The fives should be for undeniably world class. This burger could be served at any restaurant and appreciated. The fact it's drive through, is astonishing. However,I'm not surprised as,I remember it being fantastic. I can't speak for other locations or even this one until another visit. But,I have to strongly recommend,if your in the area .. Go!!!!! Enter Burger Street. I remeber when these guys started oepning their drive through locations. After trying that first one about 25 years ago I was hooked. I probably patronized them weekly when I lived close. Then, we lost touch and Id forgotten about them till passing a few months ago. So today, I pulled up the Yelp-O-Meter looking for burger options. I spotted a recent review from here so I immediately headed over.

Forever I've been told I should try Burger Street and forever I've resisted. I'm not one to really hit up fast food burger joints unless we're traveling. But this isn't *really* fast food, I was told. This is a family-owned place. It's small. It's fresh. So off I went on a day I forgot to pack a leftovers lunch for work. I wasn't in the mood for a burger, but that's not a problem at Burger Street. Instead I grabbed a BLT and - upon recommendation - a cherry limeaide. The bacon was very crispy, actually a tad bit dry but not terribly so. Better even: There was a TON of bacon on the bun. All BLTs should be this way. Tomato and lettuce were crisp, the bun was nicely toasted and not dry. Wisely I didn't order a side because the sandwich alone was more than enough food. The limeaide was tart and came with 2 cherries and a huge slice of lime. I would definitely come here again just for this. Better than Sonic's in my opinion. Altogether my sandwich and medium drink were nearly $8.75. A little pricey for lunch, but yummy. Would I come back? Yes. For a burger? Who knows - likely not. Their prices are on the higher side, so I'll opt to spend the same amount at my favorite Rodeo Goat.

The only reason I gave this 4 stars, is because the price is for a cheese burger is now over $8.00 Yes, the burger is absolutely delicious, but for a fast food, drive thru restaurant, it's on the expensive side. If you have the extra cash, this is the place to go though to get a great tasting burger. Even the people who work there is friendly and helpful.

We visited this weekend as a party of three and all ordered essentially the same items. The only different item I had that was different the coleslaw. A couple of hours later, I became extremely sick, vomiting and experiencing what appeared to be food poisoning. I strongly suspect the coleslaw may have been the culprit, as I was the only one that had it. So not only was the meal disappointing, I ended up being the unfortunate victim of what I believe was food poisoning afterward. Definitely not the kind of experience anyone expects after paying for a meal. To the owners: this was money wasted, and I sincerely hope you take food quality control and service standards more seriously. Customers shouldn't leave your restaurant wondering whether their dinner is going to make them throw up due to food poisoning couple of hours later. Fortunately, DFW has no shortage of restaurants, and the competition here is fierce. With so many alternatives, second chances aren't guaranteed. Restaurants that can't consistently maintain food quality and service standards eventually lose customers to places that can. For us, Sinbad was a one-and-done experience. The name may be Sinbad, but unfortunately, the food was a "sin" to consume since it was so "bad" (no pun intended.)

There was plenty of seating at the restaurant with long tables, sit down tables, and outdoor seating. After choosing our table we waited 15 minutes before our waitresses showed up. They were very busy with the lunch rush so it took awhile between everything. It even took awhile to get our waters. One waitress was in training and learning from the other. The positive was that the waitresses were friendly throughout. After looking at the menu and waiting another 15 minutes we finally placed our order. We got our appetizer after waiting another 15 minutes. Thankfully that held us over until we got our burgers and fries. We started with tostada chips and queso. It was good and we ate it up pretty quickly. We requested another basket of chips to finish off the queso. To eat with our burgers we ordered hand punched fries and sweet potato fries. The hand cut fries were nice and thick and you could taste the salt. I enjoyed eating them with ketchup. The sweet potato fries were also thick and salty and you could taste the flavor of the potato. No need for ketchup with these fries unless you want it. For my burger I ordered the HL Hunt cooked medium which comes with white cheese, bacon, blackberry compote and mustard. The burger was filling, the cheese was melted but it had little flavor, and the bacon was chewy. The compote was my favorite part of the burger as it added a slightly sweet flavor. I requested a medium cooked burger but it didn't taste that way but it was still good despite that. Overall Rodeo Goat has lots of seating and friendly staff but I would go at an off peak time so that you don't have to wait a long time for everything. The food was still good despite the wait.

We ordered the classic "double-double" burger, Kenny's steak bomb sandwich, and the Asian salad. The burger was delicious, nicely grilled, juicy, cheesy, and greeesy (which means it's good!). The steak bomb was great as well. The shaved ribeye, melted provolone, mushrooms, onions, and peppers all came together to make a fantastic sandwich. The beef steak was savory, and the portion was generous. We also loved the Asian salad. It came with cucumber, tomato, red onion, and avocado, along with toasty cashews and a sesame ginger dressing. All the veggies were fresh. Our waitress was attentive and friendly, checking on us a couple of times. The restaurant has lots of wall decorations, such as photos, pictures, and funny signs. One interesting thing: their napkins each have a different "wise" saying. We asked our waitress to give us a few more yo take home for fun :) Overall, we had a great time and will come back to try other items.

The decor and theme are inspired by New Orleans/Creole/Cajun vibes, and it's beautifully put together. The layout of the location is a slight "L" shape, so seating can be a bit limited during busy times. It's a seat-yourself setup, and they provide QR codes at the tables for you to place your order and pay when you're ready. Now, onto the food and service. Unfortunately, the wait for both food and drinks were longer than expected, even as the rush began to die down. Our pretzel appetizer didn't arrive until near the end of our meal, and sadly, it was overcooked. Drinks The beer was great and a definite highlight of the experience. Here's what we ordered: Appetizers Giant Pub Pretzel ($13.99): A 12.05 oz pretzel served with signature beer cheese and beer mustard. Unfortunately, this dish was a disappointment. Despite being called "Giant," the pretzel was thin, and was a bit overcooked. While we enjoyed the beer cheese, the beer mustard could have stayed in the kitchen. Loaded Broccoli ($8.99): Steamed broccoli seasoned with Cajun spices, topped with melted cheese and your choice of chicken, beef, or pulled pork. I chose chicken, which was delicious and well-seasoned. However, the cheese was a huge letdown, it had an odd, roux-like texture and flavor that nearly made the dish inedible. Entrée Voo-Dill Pickle Pizza ($12.99): Made with roasted garlic pesto, fresh mozzarella, thick-cut pickles, and a special Voo-Dill seasoning. While the concept was intriguing, the execution fell short. The pizza crust was undercooked, and the pickles seemed like they were added at the very end instead of being baked with the pizza. The garlic pesto was the highlight of this dish. Desserts -King Cake Slice ($3.XX): Clearly store-bought and not made in-house. It also took a while to reach our table, which was odd considering it's pre-packaged. The kitchen area even had the King Cake box visible. Beignets ($7.99): Over-fried and served with icing that was overly lemony, which overpowered the dish. Side Order Jalapeño Slaw ($2.99): The star of the meal! It had the perfect balance of mayo and vinegar, with a fresh kick from the jalapeños and Cajun spices. I wish I had ordered more! I think this place has a lot of potential. The concept is fantastic, but the kitchen needs improvement. I do plan to return and give it another try because the space and the idea are great. Hopefully, next time the food lives up to the vision!
