Great beer selection and delicious food. I highly recommend the Farm Fresh burger, the portobello mushroom and caramelized onions were amazing! We also had the Big Dog which was great. Unfortunately, the burgers don't come with fries. But fries are reasonably priced (only $3 with a burger) and are very tasty. Definitely stop in for happy hour! Beers are cheap and appetizers are $2 off. Our waiter, Ben, was attentive, hilarious, and very personable. He kept us (and our "neighbors" at the next table over) laughing. They did bring me a fresh burger, which was still only nominally better. It had no real flavor, no juice. $9 for just a burger if I wanted, sides were another $3.50. I paid $3.50 for 6 onion rings? They tasted frozen. Fries were cold, but seasoned. Decent Happy Hour $2.50 for domestic draft. The service was slow, we asked for a booth, there were plenty, but told it was "reserved." We tried this place out since it was so close to our home and we love burgers! The environment was clean and stylish, making a good atmosphere for dinner date. We chose the patio which although just overlooks a busy intersection with pan handlers, did display a beautiful sunset that night. The menu looked good, we thought the beer selection was good, especially having 12 draft beers. Service was very fast and friendly. I ordered the Uptown burger with mushrooms instead of a big portobello. They did forget the mushrooms altogether but I was actually starving and didn't care, didn't want to wait for mushrooms. We also ordered fries, they come in a cute little bucket. Everything was average tasting, I prefer toasted buns on a burger. So if you don't mind a pricey burger, this place has excellent food. My boyfriend and I have been on a bit of a burger kick and tried a few places. I was disappointed the last few times, but finally decided to splurge and try Burger Theory. Now, we like to joke about the name, but these burgers are not theoretical, they do exist! They were delicious, tasty beef and bacon, yummy seasoned fries, and good lemonade. One thing though, you basically have to drive around the hotel to get there. The median islands make it hard to turn in depending on which way you're coming from. Service was also good, but they were not busy at all. Service was terrible, they even ran out of silverware somehow and brought us plastic, long after needing the silverware to begin with. The food took over an hour and still came out completely wrong. While trying to speak to the server about it, he couldn't be bothered and was too distracted. Strange thing is there were only a few tables filled in total. After eating the incorrect food our party received as we were starving by that point -we were all ill within an hour following and for the rest of the night. When contacting management the following day and asking for a refund, one was promised but there was zero follow through. (Reminder - 3 stars means "A-OK" - not bad!) Fries and onion rings are great. Burger was good - the one with the shortrib was nice and juicy. Meat was a littler firmer than I prefer (possibly over mixed and packed/formed too tight). Pleased to find out they make quite a few things in-house (signature sauces, etc.) and even have a special sporting even (NFL) LTO menu. Even many of the ingredients are higher quality than expected (fresh Wildflower bakery rolls, etc). Noting, I did have different expectations once I found out they were connected to a hotel, but have no complaints other than there were not many servers on staff. TIP - when you notice that as you walk into a restaurant (especially at an off-time, always sit at the bar! we've learned this over time). All-in-all a good gig especially if you're a hotel guest - very convenient. Do we need to go back? No. With our mecca of food in the PHX area we're still in search of the best burger out there and fellow yelp reviewers are lacking in giving places like Shake Shack, PV Burger Company and Hopp Doddy 5 stars - what!? Average burger joint. Location could be better. More of a bar really. You would think for a place called burger theory there would be more options of burgers or toppings. I think Carla jr. Has more options but then again they did have a burger with a hot dog and chips so that's pretty hard to top. I had the philly and it was good don't get me wrong it just needed a little something more to get it out of the ordinary. Maybe more toppings, maybe a bun that didn't come right out of a grocery store. Also we were never given napkins and had to ask for them but that's something small and the waiter was actually really nice. It happens but he didn't even apologize and we had to ask him for more napkins. I give Burger Theory 6 out of 5 stars, and I'm a hard b@$&@$& to please. I made a Yelp account for the first time to give these guys the review they deserve. This place is the best experience I've ever had in the valley. The host/waiter delivered top notch service with a good attitude and a smile, he more then met my difficult standard. The food was excellent and arrived swiftly. The atmosphere was excellent, and the seating choices set a standard of their own, the booths were comfortable and clean, and each one had its own outlet. The bathroom also gets 5 stars from me, and that is very rare. It was immaculate and even had Kleenex in stock for the customers. Like a lot of people, I had heard a lot about this place and noticed the 3.5 star rating so I figured it would be worth trying out. My fiancé and I parked and as we walked up to the front door we noticed a sign that notified us that their front door was out of order... Okay, no big deal. We were directed by the note to use the patio door so we walked onto the patio and when we went to open the door it was locked. Now, the restaurant opens at 11:00am and we arrived around 2:15pm so I was surprised that the door was locked even though I saw staff inside. My fiancé and myself just decided that it was fine and that we would go somewhere else but as we were walking away a lady opened the door and frantically announced that they were in fact open. So we walk inside and we're told we can sit wherever we would like so we chose one of the booths next to the bar and wait patiently to be greeted by our waitress. Over five minutes go by and no one has come to bring a menu or ask us what we would like to drink or anything. The entire restaurant was empty at this time so we thought it strange that we hadn't been helped yet but continued to wait patiently. A couple minutes after a family of three come in through the hotel entrance to the restaurant and are greeted and get menus and their drink orders taken right away. No fault of their own by the way, but I thought it was interesting that while we had been there now for almost 12 minutes now and not been waited on but this family had been seated and taken care of in less than 3 minutes. So when the lady who let us inside and who was helping the family that just walked in realized that my fiancé and myself hadn't been helped yet, she did apologize for the other waitress not helping us sooner and asked m us what we would like to order. I was trying to be kind so I just gently replied with, "we're not really sure what we would like yet, we haven't received a menu." The waitress kinda looked embarrassed and quickly got us menus and then asked us for our drink order before letting us review the menu. After this the service was good but it was slow and the family the came in after us received their food before us. The food itself was good but not worth the combined total of $51... My office has ordered from here 3 times and every time they have been out of half the items people order. Super frustrating! I ordered a flatbread since I'm not usually a big burger person, only to be notified they were out of pizza. Instead, the chef send a lettuce wrap burger. Not really my the first logical substitute in my mind but okay. Our order is also usually delayed, though I'm sure most of this time comes from the fact that we have to re submit second orders for half our team each time. I can't speak to how well the burger is, since it was smothered in pickles which I personally can't stand. I will fault our office manager for that one, fine, but seriously, someone needs to get your ordering figured out so people can just order what they want and not worry about whether or not it is available. To date I haven't been able to try a SINGLE item I've actually wanted to try from this menu, which is disappointing. read more

Let's move on to the food, I had a build your own burger and it was a standard burger with standard toppings.
