Which is a Mexicali Burger topped with melted Jack, Cheddar cheese and crushed bacon mixed with chipotle sauce. Inside the burger are Serrano chiles. Nice and spicy. Plus a Caesar salad. Wifey had the Five Cheese Burger. Jack, Swiss, Mozzarella, Cheddar and American cheese. She also had the shoe string Cajun spiced fries instead of steak fries. They were yummy. For some reason, it's extra loud in here today with the TVs... We haven't been here for a while, but I don't remember the TVs being this loud... Maybe it's cause I'm in the center of the restaurant or a right underneath the speaker. Well, that would be great if you wanna watch a game... Not a fan of the tortilla soup, the chicken just didn't sit right with me and the soup wasn't hot enough. This is very much feels like an old diner meets gas station vibes. Service was ok, they didn't give us enough plates and placed my spoon on the table.... I may be picky on this one but honestly we all know tables are that clean so I would not want to have my silverware that's going in my mouth placed directly in the table. The desert light pours through the plate-glass windows of this sprawling Coachella Valley outpost, glinting off neon beer signs and the chrome of a dozen taps. At eleven sharp the room is mercifully quiet--only the low thrum of a flatscreen cycling ESPN highlights and the occasional clink of silverware. I claim a booth upholstered in Naugahyde the color of dried blood and order the Thursday machaca plate, $10, and a 22-ounce draft of something amber and forgettable. The plate lands with the blunt honesty of a roadside diner. The machaca--shredded beef braised, one presumes, until it forgot it was ever bovine--presents as desiccated tendon, each fiber snapping back like overcooked calamari. One chews out of duty, not desire. Redemption arrives in the supporting cast: rice fluffy and pork-laced, beans simmered to a velvety collapse, and, most crucially, a tumble of onions and bell peppers lacquered to a deep mahogany sheen. These vegetables are seasoned with the swagger of a border-town taquero--cumin, oregano, a discreet kiss of smoked chile. They are the reason the plate does not earn a single star. So compelling is their flavor that I summon a basket of house-fried tortilla chips, still audibly crackling from the fryer, to extend the communion. A second machaca plate would be masochism; the chips become my chalice, ferrying those transcendent alliums to safer harbor. A breach of protocol interrupts the reverie. Mid-meal I excuse myself to the restroom; upon return I find my booth sanitized, my plate vanished, the table set for a ghost. I finish everything--sublime or merely serviceable--and the premature eviction lands like a sommelier whisking away a half-empty Riedel. I decamp to the bar, draft in hand, and order a Happy Dad hard seltzer, the one with its irreverent Nelk Boys edge. The bartender, a woman possessing the serene command of a Per Se captain, clocks my displeasure without a word, refills my water, slides over an extra lime wedge, and in thirty seconds restores institutional faith. Verdict: Burgers and Beer flirts with mediocrity in its proteins yet achieves minor brilliance in its vegetable cookery. Service misfires, then recovers with poise. One lingering regret: in a place that trumpets "Burgers" in its very name, I bypassed the house specialty for a special that never should have been. Next time, the patty--medium-rare, no questions--will be my redemption. I will return for the onions, the chips, the burger I should have ordered, and the bartender who understands that in the desert, hospitality is the ultimate oasis. was validating, kudos to her for saving the business with her laid back candid can-do attitude. She offered me a glass and ice and I said said is it "ghetto" of me to drink from the can? She said, "No, I do the same. I don't know why she they even push for this." Arrived on a Sunday a little after 1pm, it was busy as it is football Sunday and it's a weekend. We were greeted by the girls at front, who were friendly. I asked for a booth and we were sat right away, even though it did seem busy. Our server was attentive and provided great customer service. All the football games are playing through our the screens and there is many tv screens, our table even had its own tv playing the game we wanted to see. The food took a little longer to arrive but it all came at once. The kiddos enjoyed their meals. My hubby enjoyed his hot dog, it's actually a large portion. The appetizers we ordered were good; the only thing that was hard and not as warm, was the boneless wings. They had a good flavor but the wings were firm. This past Thursday, a group of us(30) Matt at the location in Rancho Mirage. We told them two weeks ago we would be there, they said fine no problem. We got there big table set up for everybody. Everybody arrived and sitting at the table a single server was assigned to the group. After about 10 minutes she had six or eight drink orders written up. It would've taken an hour to get around the group. I mentioned this quietly to the guy who organizes our group. He did ask for more servers, one server was added. It took a ridiculous amount of time to get drink orders and then food orders. Food came out for three or four people at a time over about a 25 to 30 minute. period. My food did not arrive. I waited for 10 minutes, two servers came up to be and said it will be here in a minute. I went to the bathroom came back looked over at the table. My food was still not there. It had been 15 minutes. Everyone else had been served in our group. I did not go back to the table, I told the server to cancel my order. I left when I got home. I called the restaurant and spoke to the manager. Explain to him what had happened his response was.(and I am paraphrasing.) he didn't give a shit! Didn't care at all when I mentioned why weren't more people assigned to the group initially he blew me off. The place is a complete joke! I will never go there again. Love Beers and Burgers! This place has quickly become a favorite of mine. First time I came, I tried the shrimp burger--super tasty! The second time, I went classic with their regular burger, and it did not disappoint. The staff is super friendly, but fair warning... Clean, spacious sports bar that offers basic bar food. It was pretty empty on a mid week afternoon so we were seated quickly. The service was polite and quick. My whole party ordered burgers and we all agreed that the burgers were really good. They were juicy and well seasoned. The server said they were supposed to be cooked medium but they were more on the medium rare side. But overall, a good burger with fresh toppings (lettuce, tomato, red onion). However, the fries were overcooked and dry. And the fried pickles were overcooked as well, and so thin that they were almost like chips. And they didn't come with a dipping sauce. Came in to try for first visit. We ended up here by default cuz it was the only one open late on Saturday night. We were immediately seated into a booth which were uncomfortable due to booths sat very low relative to the table height. Wished they had pillows or booster chairs for adults. We were served by Maria who was very friendly and attentive to our needs and made sure our drinks were always full. She accommodate our request that we were trying to catch a 10pm showing next door and would like to have everything we order to come out all at once. The menu selection was plenty to choose from. We ordered what we were craving for that would be easy and quick to eat since we were in rush to catch a movie. Everything we ordered came out within 15 min and were plentiful and delicious. Our favorite was the tortilla soup where we got to pour the soup ourselves into the bowl. It made the soup fresh where the tortillas were still crunchy to every spoon full. The shrimp poor boy was a bit dry overall but extra sauce I added made it better. The bread roll was nice and toasted and fried shrimp were plentiful and overflowing. Dish came w ceasar salad which had the right amount of dressing. The champagne salad looked amazing but didn't have the chance to eat it since we got full immediately and we were in a rush. The hot dog was large and simple but delicious. I would definitely come back to try other meals in the menu when back in town. Maybe when we are not so much in a rush. Came here for lunch and to watch MLB playoffs today. It's Wednesday at noon so the only live game is the Mariners/Detroit game. In the bar they have 12 TV's. 2 huge ones, 4 large ones and 6 small ones so a nice setup. Of all those tvs, they have the live baseball game on 1 small one. The rest are just playing random sports reruns. I don't think these guys are sports fans. Food was good not great. Had a burger and fries. read more

Both stars are for the absolutely hustling bartender who tried her best. It was a busy Saturday and the place was packed. We grabbed seats at the bar and we were on a fixed time because we wanted to see a movie next door. The bartender took our order and poured quick beers. We watched her juggle and serve everyone with a smile. There's a lot of promotion on the menu about the great tasting burgers so we were excited to try this spot. And then the food came out. We had waited about 30 min for the food so we're really hungry. The bartender let us know it was a messy and slammed night. My fiancé's burger only had half a bun. My fries were wrong (I had ordered curly for an up charge). They noted the mistakes and said they'd fix it. The rest of the bun came out and then the curly fries. The curly fries were completely bland and slightly warm. No salt, no seasoning. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but for an up charge I was expecting something. The regular fries were soggy, but warmer. The burgers were nicely cooked to medium / medium rare, but were completely tasteless. I had mushrooms on mine and I don't know how they managed to make them taste like nothing. We paid and left and I seriously have no idea how they stay in business. One of the front doors had particle board on it instead of glass I'm thinking someone broke into the business recently . Once inside it's very very busy, I'm going to say 20-30 TVs hung up high , a bar area, loads of large photos, and booths (most booths had a tv also playing hung on the wall at eye level). Once we got the menu, our server came to take our drinks and asked if we were ready to order. We kept sending her back because just like the decor, the menu was also very busy. Eventually we settle on a Chinese Chicken Salad and Cucumber Chalupa Boats. Both were okay in flavor, what makes me only give 2 stars would be how much is going on with the menu/decor and the prices of the food, definitely overpriced for the quality. At any rate, I'm sure this is more of a bro's type of bar with the TVs and large menu. Not my thing but the other customers looked happy. 4/10, won't be back read more
