I went to play bingo with my best friend and her mom and it was so much fun!! They were also doing a fundraiser for cakes for kids and it was an amazing turn out. Everyone was so nice and fun! Since they don't serve food, they let you bring outside food in from any of the restaurants near by. Overall it was so fun being there and I would love to go back.

Love this place! The website lists entertainment and there is Happy Hour everyday. The service and the drinks were great. Went on Sat afternoon and very busy and fun. Menu items are from Trilussa and Capizzis. The watermelon peach margarita slushie is addicting. I ordered the pesto penne with salmon and that was excellent too.

First visit and we had a great time. Huge cocktail, beer, and wine lounge serving a mostly gay clientele, but everyone is welcome. The wait staff and bartenders are friendly and efficient. Drink orders were filled in 1-2 minutes, and the place was crowded. The cocktails we ordered (Lemon Drop, Old Fashioned, and a Madres) were well-made and very tasty. They have live music almost every night, and since they don't serve food, they allow you to order from one of the two restaurants next door and have it delivered. The crowd was very lively, and we had a great time dancing to the live performance of local singer, Karen Cobb. We were happy to discover The Roost Lounge and will most definitely be back!

I consider myself a part time resident of the Coachella Valley and that grants me the ability and perspective to treat the area like a local and like tourist. I really love The Roost because even though it doesn't have that tourist energy that the bars on Arenas do but provides more of a local's vibe, while still being welcoming of tourists. It seems like they have some kind of evenly going on every night and although the decor seems more like a restaurant vs bar, it's still a nice place to enjoy a beverage, being served with really cool bartenders. Lastly, they don't have their own kitchen but you can order food from restaurants that are in the same complex and I've even seen people bring their own food too.

My girlfriend and I sat at the bar and Michael the bartender helped us out . It's happy hour from 3-5pm. The people around looked like locals. People would come in and strike up conversations with each other. I had the tequila sunrise with the house tequila , and my girlfriend had the peach frozen margarita. I honestly was not a fan of the house tequila. Michael swapped out my drink when I requested for a different tequila. It tasted so much better. The margarita was good. On a Monday early evening, there were a lot of people and Michael said there'd be more people coming since it's open mic piano night from 6-9pm. We had to leave and we came back around 8pm. The people singing had amazing voices. When I left to use the restroom and came back, an older white gentleman was talking to my girlfriend. He had his hand on my seat. The minute he noticed me as I was walking back towards my chair, his whole demeanor changed, and he looked visibly upset. He said something rude to me. Then he proceeded with raising his voice and making racist and weird comments. Whenever my girlfriend tried to speak, he continued to interrupt her. She tried her best to deescalate the situation. We were instantly uncomfortable, felt unsafe, and felt targeted due to our sexual orientation and ethnic backgrounds. He got in my girlfriend's face and that's when I gestured for the server to come. My girlfriend made it clear that she already listened to him, he still would not let her speak because he kept interrupting her, and she no longer wanted to have this conversation anymore. He continued to get closer to my girlfriend and the manager stepped in between them. This was when the guy decided to change his story when the manager showed up to make himself look like the victim. Michael apologized to us, told us that he is printing out his bill, and will give it to him. We told Michael that he shouldn't be the one to apologize and it should be that guy who wanted to pick a fight for nothing. Although Michael, the server, and the manager apologized to us, the apologies did not feel sincere. We still felt very uncomfortable and unsafe. The bar still had us pay our bill. We waited for close to 30 mins before leaving because we didn't feel safe leaving the bar yet. We didn't know what this drunk person was capable of. On the way to the exit door, none of the staff asked if we needed anything or offered to walk us to our car. I was surprised of all places that this would happen was a gay bar. They're supposed to be inclusive and safe. That's not how we felt leaving that night. When we got to our car, we looked around to make sure we weren't being followed. We probably won't ever return. We are disappointed with how this bar handled this situation.

Monday night was another thing. We just wanted to stop in for a drink which we found out it was martini Monday and show tunes. Kind of a match made in heaven...lol... And I believe it was happy hour all night as well. Martinis special starts at 8.00 I think, depending on what you want. It wasn't crazy busy but a good amount of people. A fairly good amount of tables occupied and the bar area was very much utilized. One person's bartending while another was out on the floor taking orders. Dirty martini extra olives for the win. Quite tasty with either vodka or gin. I mean for the price, it was nice. The service was great and everyone was pretty friendly. Bar area is well maintained as well as both inside and the outside patio. Only downfall, the show tunes being shown was a little underwhelming. There's other bars not far that is a little better but the drink special that night was great. We're slowing checking out the entertainment schedule and each night that we've been has been fun. So far, LOVE Friday night with the queens. If you want a fun and amazing night with a fantastic show, come Friday night. Seats can be reserved for groups or individuals or open seating along the bar if you can find one. Some nights are quiet but lively during happy hour. It's also a place that has a long happy hour compared to 2 hours at most places. They like to have fun and entertain. It seems more of the locals and regulars that frequent this place. Customers seem to pour in about 15 minutes before performances. Mostly parties and/or groups of individuals. The performers were very lively and enjoyable. Especially the MC! From experiencing other places, what I like to see is more performances on stage before they circle the room and take money. The performance from the dance teacher in San Diego was amazing- very artistic. Was happy to see three performances from her! If coming, prepared to have fun and bring some money to show your appreciation for the talented performers. Having a pocket full of dollar bills will get you far!

The first visit, there was a line to get in and from there, a massive line trying to get a drink at the bar. So come early to avoid that. We just wanted to lounge for a bit and grab a drink after dinner. Showed up just after 8:30 which is still early but very easy when we arrived. There was already a good amount of people inside when we walked in. The nice thing, you're able to walk up to the bar and grab a drink pretty fast. It's cash only so be prepared. Inside isn't that big, where the dj booth is. I don't even think it's a dance floor but it could potentially be. They have two bars on either side. But the patio area is where the party happens. It's massive with a good amount of hi top tables with chairs. Also nice to have the fans and mister going in with the heat that's starting to greet us in the desert. Within us arriving, half an hour or so, the place was pretty busy. The line did start to form at the bar which we now are aware. They have different event held different nights during the week. Some are busier than others. I've been with friends where give or take there was a dozen or so of people. Different night have different crowds depending on the events. The vibe is super laid-back but still has that classic Palm Springs energy where everyone just seems genuinely happy to be there. It's one of those places where you can show up not knowing what to expect and somehow end up staying way longer than planned. The crowd felt really welcoming, not cliquey at all, which I always appreciate because it makes it easy to relax and actually enjoy yourself. What stood out to me most was how unpretentious everything felt. The bartenders were friendly and quick without making you feel rushed, and the drinks were solid and reasonably priced for the area. There's a nice mix of people, from locals who clearly love the place to visitors just passing through, and it all blends together in a way that feels effortless. The music hit that perfect balance where it keeps the energy up without being overwhelming, so you can still talk and laugh without yelling over it. Overall, this is definitely a spot I'd recommend if you're looking for something a little more low-key but still fun and memorable. I'd absolutely come back next time I'm in town and honestly wish I had discovered it sooner.

Well this one, located in the Arena area of Palm Springs. Theres no name or signs anywhere. You just have to know where to look. Try opening doors and see which one opens. We were walking back to the car when I noticed the doors. As l had heard so much about it but didn't know where it was. Well lucky me, I opened the door with the first try. I had an idea on where it was but didn't know where. That's where the 4 stars come in. As I had the door open, I could hear from the bar area a gentleman yelling out shut the door. Ok, I get the dark hidden concept but yelling out like that, kind of rude. Do you not want people in. It was about 11pm when we walked in. You enter and it's a dark hallway straight to the bar. That'll be what you see right when you walk in. Place is covered in a dark damask wallpaper and only light are small fixtures. So dark and demure. Bar area is the main attraction with all the seating. There's a few hi tops along the wall as well as some seating in the back area. I'm not sure how big the place is as we only went straight to the bar and sat down. The menu is printed to resemble vintage newspaper. The dark mysterious room with tufted seats and dim lights is what this place is all about. But of course you can't leave out the drinks. Centered of the bar wall, there's Udo Kier watching you. Anyways, down to the drinks. Printed on the newspaper was a perfect touch. I went with the pisco sour and we had the bartender make something else with mescal. An updated smoke and mirror I believe. Drinks were excellent which we expected. The whole place is really dark and mysterious which was a nice touch. It wasn't that busy when we arrived Friday night. A couple of people in the back area which we definitely could hear...lol... There was no list to get in as we just walked in. The only downfall with the rating, the rude remark when we walked in with shutting the door all the way from the bar area. Yes we heard it from outside. There were two bartenders working , but we did chat with one of them and she was a sweetheart. Informed us that they too will be closed down for the summer holiday but will be renovating. Places out here closes at least a month for summer holidays and with the slow season due to the heat. First impression of this place, besides the rude remark was we really liked it. The drinks were great and tasty. It's not super big but more intimate. Can get a little loud as people are talking over each other. Could be the alcohol.... It's someplace I would visit again with people who I know will appreciate it.

You have your usual singers and a good ebb and flow of people trying to catch a song. Karaoke is definitely the heart of this place. Whether someone is absolutely crushing it or having fun with friends, it's a supportive place with good vibes all around. DRINKS Vodka Soda with Lime (Recommend) A simple drink that gets the job done. Cold, refreshing, and well balanced. Just a solid cocktail to help you relax and enjoy the vibes. CUSTOMER SERVICE Friendly, attentive, and easygoing. DJ is great and same as the servers. TL;DR OVERALL 4.5 Stars. Good drinks, welcoming people, and one of those neighborhood bars that doesn't have to be expensive and flashy. Great space where people can laugh, sing, meet new friends, and enjoy a night out. Enjoy! TIPS * Karaoke is the main attraction--don't be afraid to sign up for a song. * Vibes will come in waves, sometimes it's poppin and sometimes its chill.

Fun karaoke bar! They have a one drink minimum per guest (not sure if it needs to be alcohol),…read moreprobably to make sure people don't take too much advantage of the karaoke. I think you have to pay to sing, but there was no cover charge to walk in and sit. Nice to listen to everyone and it seemed like a supportive crowd. You're definitely encouraged to sing along to the choruses. All our cocktails were yummy and of course had fun names. One even came with a plastic light up ring!
