I was brought here by a dear friend as a surprise birthday gift. I thought I was going to Dave and Busters and my friend walked me towards Burke Williams which I honestly thought was a high end Photography studio. I was shocked as I found out it was a day spa. Didn't know what to expect at all when I was taken back. A really nice lady walked up to me and asked if I needed anything and I didn't know. She verified my information and showed me around and showed me where to change and many of the rooms to relax and wait including the spa area. She handed me a robe and sandals. I got fro relax in one of the rooms and had some amazing waters and teas and I met the woman who would give me a treatment and she was very kind and caring. It felt weird to let go of all the stresses of your life just in that little bit of time that I was there and the staff were all very kind and caring. I'm by no means rich and the staff treated me no differently. I would recommend the massage therapist highly and I would like to go back and try the other treatments when I can. OMG. I absolutely love this place. My massage therapist Wendy is so amazing. She knows how to target areas of concern and makes your body feel 1000% relaxed. I wished my massage lasted hours. My appointment with her was only 25mins but it felt like 40. Every step she did was excellent, my skin was so hydrated that it almost seemed to have water dripping off face when I left the room. BATHS: I've done all 3, but I'm personally prefer the Heal & Awaken ones. The strict rule is you'd need to have a service appointment in order to schedule a bath & that's very reasonable. All baths come with sliced fruits, cold water & ice towel. I adore the Heal bath so much that I almost never miss it on my visit. I'm not sure about the health benefits for each ingredient but the bath has certainly never disappointed in making me feel completely satisfied physically & emotionally afterwards. I notice my muscles loosen up, mood is elevated & the skin becomes smoother. For the Awaken bath, there are sure a lot of bubbles so it's kinda fun. The citrus scent gives a lively atmosphere, but my feeling afterwards is usually ready to go home because of the tingling due to my sensitive skin. WET ROOM: Hunter's Retreat was a OK for me. The water massage was unique & enjoyable. My therapist did a nice job for gentle scrub but it's more being given a shower rather than actual scrubbing off dead skins & in my opinion, this is a bit too simple for repetition. I was really excited about spending my birthday at BW but unfortunately this location is not one I would likely return to. I scheduled the Hunters wetroom and this was a nice experience however the facility was so busy. There were people and workers everywhere. The jacuzzi unfortunately sits right across from the bathrooms and vanity area so your view is constant moving of patrons, staff, and folks going in and out of the bathrooms and or blowing drying their hair, etc. I was really shocked to see so much going on at so called spa. There was so much movement by my locker that I had to move and get dressed in a corner. Sad to say. I wouldn't recommend this location if you are truly looking for some peace, quiet and tranquility. She legit fixed my back and told me I have a trigger point on my lower spine and that's what's been causing my sciatica pain and not allowing range of motion. Have been here several times and had such great experience each time. We are members so we get a monthly service. Went to Orange location yesterday. And I had a great experience in the spa. I met my wife in the waiting area. All I could hear was laughing and voices coming from the women's spa. My wife said she couldn't enjoy herself because groups where extremely loud. I had my massage and l checked out. Told the lady and the front desk and her response to me was "well we have 200 guest a day" I explained I understand they are usually booked full everyday, but this has never been the case before. We came to enjoy a spa experience not a pool party. We will try Torrance and Pasadena if this is the same at those locations we will cancel our memberships. Management needs to learn sometimes more is less. So as we can see the manager uses the day of the week as an excuse for the volume. I say I think I need to take this to another level. This person has no job managing this spa. I have never once went to this spa on any other day except during the weekend. This has never once been an issue, and to publicly tell the entire world do not come to our spa during the weekend because we do not keep the noise level at spa level is simply sad. I am sure others are having issues too. For the record each time I have been there it was always fully booked. It's really simple you hear loud people who do not know what spa etiquette is you ask them to keep it at that level. And apologize not make a public statement like you did on the lack of control you have. I guess pretty soon people will have pizza delivered there while they are there during the weekend. read more

I've been a Burke Williams member for a couple years now and I always went to the Pasadena location and loved it never had a problem with it but this orange location??? I'm so disappointed. I started coming here because I brought my two aunts. The workers here are literally thieves and their new manager is such an entitled, nasty attitude having woman. If you don't like your job then don't work there. One of my aunts accidentally left her earrings in her locker, the workers clean them out before every client, it's not like the lockers are used one after another. So how is it that her earrings go missing? The worker/cleaner found them and didn't report them to the front desk. Then another time my other aunt accidentally left her bracelet in the locker, I called immediately after. The girl that the front desk said that it was turned in and they have it. My aunt got sick and couldn't go in. She went in a couple weeks later and now they don't have it????? It's so frustrating, it's not even about it being materialistic, people work to be able to afford jewelry and these memberships and it's supposed to be a high end spa, why would these instances make me wanna keep my memberships or keep coming to this location. I loved this place and wished I lived here I booked a spa day with a group of friends to celebrate galentine's day. Booking the appointments was easy. They have an online option, but i found calling easier and more straightforward. I called a few times, first with questions while planning, then to book, and a couple of times after to make changes. Every time I was met with friendly service. The staff was well informed and answered all of my questions. Booking felt a little chaotic because the coordinator had to schedule 8 people with different services within a similar time frame. I called about a month in advance so they had enough availability to accommodate all of us. I think only one friend was unable to get the service she originally wanted, but was able to switch it with a different service. We ended up having scattered start and end times, but it worked out perfectly! They have a very flexible cancellation policy, which is great for large bookings! Although we only had one person cancel with plenty of notice. I had to put my card down to book, but nothing was charged until day of and each person was able to pay for their individual services. They allow you to arrive 2 hours before your appointment and stay 2 hours after to use the amenities. Although we had scattered start times, they allowed us to arrive and leave at the same time without any trouble. This was perfect because we were able to spend some time together before we we separated. They have a lot of great amenities! There's a large hot tub, a sauna, I believe 2 steam rooms, a misting room (cold), a quiet room, and a couple of lounge areas. They also have a bunch of other stuff like shampoo/conditioner, face wash, towels, tooth brushes, hair ties, hair brushes, etc. Spas are separated by gender which was not an issue for our group. Clothing is optional, the alternative is to wear a bathing suit. Although I noticed most people wore bathing suits. The spa area is fairly quiet and spacious. There are no phones allowed and they're very strict about that rule which I understand and appreciate. They do ask that you go to one of the lounge areas 10 minutes before your appointment (they have clocks throughout the spa). But they will come and find you if you forget. I received a massage and a facial. My masseuse was amazing. She had a very soft and gentle energy. I was worried about the quality of the massage based on some of the reviews, but I thought the pressure was perfect for what I liked. I'm very tense, so even light pressure can feel like a lot to me. I asked for medium pressure and it was perfect. I didn't give my masseuse much guidance because I don't get massages often and didn't know what to say. Luckily my masseuse knew what she was doing and was able to target areas that needed the extra care. I had never received a facial before and I really enjoyed it! I didn't realize it also included a leg, arm, face, and neck massage which was a pleasant surprise. I didn't care for the extraction portion of the facial. It was a little painful and uncomfortable. But, my face felt great afterward. They definitely tried to upsell, but that was expected and they weren't pushy about it. I definitely recommend using the amenities before your treatment instead of after. The spa area felt very warm and stuffy after a while and after my treatment I was so relaxed that getting dressed and going to dinner felt like the right choice! But, you are able to enjoy it for another 2 hours after. Note: there are some facials/treatments that will make using amenities after an issue. Overall, strongly recommend. Let me start off by saying I absolutely adore this location and the staff. Although I can't remember the woman's name at the reception desk... She was so informative about me inquiring about the membership. I purchased my membership right before Christmas as a "great job for hustling" present to myself. Luckily, I was able to schedule my first massage the week after Christmas and before New Year. She had me booked with a gentleman named Art and let me tell you.. Art is insanely knowledgeable and a master at his craft. He gave me some tips on how to take care of my body after gym sessions since I'm training for a triathlon. I also mentioned that I'm going to switch over to deep tissue in January and he let me know to wait 36-48 hrs after a workout to book it so it gives the inflammation time to go down from the workouts. The men's spa section was super clean. It wasn't crowded and I'm in love with the eucalyptus steam room. Although the hot tub broke down and they had people working on it after my massage - but I wasn't going to go back in post massage anyway. My only wish is that I could purchase a glass of champagne or enjoy an old fashioned while in the spa but I know that's just me being boujie and it's unnecessary. I miss getting spa style facial from Burke Williams. I walked into BWDS looking tired and I walked out with glowing skin. The aestheticians always recommend the products they use during your facial. I thought it would be nice to pamper myself at home using BW's H2V products because I still feel uncomfortable getting a facial at the spa. I tried ordering online several times and I got super frustrated, so I decided to go to its location since the spa has reopened. I am a regular @ Pasadena BW, but I wanted to check out this location. The workers greeted me right away and they were super helpful when I had questions. Face mask requirement and social distancing were enforced. Clorox wipes and hand sanitizer were provided by the entrance. Thank you! My only complaint was the lighting at the lobby/store. It was hard to see and I didn't really want to touch unnecessary things. Better lighting would allow the customers to spot the products faster and possibly buy more things at the end. I ended up with Triple C Vitamin C Serum, Buff Exfoliant, Protect Day Time SPF Moisturizer and Beyond Hydrating Pumpkin Masque. I really like the buff exfoliant, based on my past facial experience at the spa. Pumpkin masque? Why not? It's almost Halloween and I am a fan of fruit enzyme. Vitamin C is a great antioxidant. First time visiting this spa and while being 36 weeks pregnant :) wasn't sure how it would go being so heavily pregnant but I had a good time. First I was given a tour of the facilities and noted I wouldn't be able to use the hot tub or sauna but I was given a free spa bath. I think this was to compensate for not being able to use all the facilities. There's a lounge area near reception where you wait to get called for your appointments that was ice water and tea. The herbal tea was so good!! I also noticed the locker room had someone constantly cleaning and drying the floors. This was great since people were walking around dripping from the hot tub and I was worried I'd slip. My treatments included a pedicure, spa milk bath, and a pregnancy massage. The pedicure went great and the technician was great with communication. The milk spa bath was so nice. The jets felt great and the temperature of the water wasn't too hot. Finally, the pregnancy massage wasn't bad. I knew it wouldn't be like getting a real massage since I couldn't lay on my stomach and the masseuse went easy with the pressure. But the massage felt great and I almost dozed off from the deep relaxation vibes. My only complaint is that the massage was supposed to be 50 minutes but it was only 40 minutes. I figured the first time I came to this spa. It was a one off. Since my Initial experience I figured I try again unfortunately I ran into the same issue. My boyfriend purchased a few gift cards and I finally had time to use them. Each gift card except in with only $75 value says *gratuity included* Upon check in I hand them the gift cards so she can input the code and when it's time to leave I can simply leave. That wasn't the case. Upon checking out the receptionist gives me a total. I ask about the gift cards on file. To which she says oh I didn't see that. After which she tells me there is a balance of $40 on the gift card of $75. She then asks if I wanted to leave that for the therapist. I declined and said I'd use it for future add ons. Condescending she asks "You don't want to tip your therapist" so I ask for clarification on what gratuity included means. She tells me that the gift card is only for a dollar amount. And it didn't include gratuity although... it clear as day says gratuity included on 2 of the 3 gift cards. After a bit of back and forth which now is ruining my relaxed vibe. She says I can grab the manager to explain to you. .... Explain to me how the words gratuity included means I still need to pay more? No I'll pass and I'll hold onto my $40 balance as well. After adding up the total of the services which was less than the value of all three gift cards, I ask her if she's telling me that the tip wasn't enough. She says no. And rolls her eyes. I came in during Memorial Day for a 25 minute massage. I was greeted by the front desk reception with so much kindness. The manager Mercedes gave me a fabulous tour of the spa and guided me to my designated locker where my robe and slides were located. My massage was done by the therapist Asia. She took her time and focused on the area I needed more attention to. The relaxation massage was just what I needed after a stressful weekend. I received shiatsu massage for the first time, and was in Heaven!!!! I've been getting massages for over 20 years but never experienced Shiatsu treatment. I DEFINITELY recommend it. If you like pressure and want the masseuse's to work on your knots, this is the perfect treatment. Wendy from ( Peter Pan ) is the person you want . She's so good with her hands. I could tell she was experienced. She also told me I Can go back using my chiropractor with my insurance and pay a copay with massage treatment. Went there recently for an 80 min. Facial and sadly disappointed by the customer service I received from Chanel and Yanni the receptionists. They were both somewhat incompetent and very unorganized. I had purchased my service over the phone and had an amazing and gracious receptionist who helped me purchase the package. When I arrived at the location, I was greeted by Chanel who had a stuck up attitude and fake warmth just like her fake pumped up lips. Both Chanel and Yanni couldn't find my order and kept asking how to spell my name when I clearly spelled it out for them numerous times. I think they aren't fond of Asian customers! Sad to exhibit racist attitudes toward other minorities especially with them both being minorities themselves! Anyhow I won't be back to this location, those females lest a horrible low class taste in my mouth. Please hire warm nice people without the attitude and racism to run the front desk Burke Williams. I don't appreciate being scolded like a child while I'm trying to relax in jacuzzi and read a kindle. Reading is my form of relaxation. I was told no phones when I signed in- but if I'm paying $300 for a service (a premium price- one of most expensive massages in so cal) I don't appreciate having my time ruined by being treated like a toddler. That's pretty low class if your clients can't even read a book while relaxing- kind of like being treated like you're some criminal and she even implied I could be filming people in the spa. This location is in an outdoor upscale mall (Bloomingdales! Saks!). I had a pedicure today, and was hopeful for a wonderful experience. My friend and I were able to hang out by the fireplace and have the sitting area to ourselves for a bit, which was lovely. The pedicure itself was very nice, and hours later my feet still feel moisturized and delightful. I enjoyed the steam treatment, and the polish is very pretty. My tech, Kay, was professional and nice. This is the most pricey pedi I've ever had. Most others have been in salons, a cosmetology college, and (a very awful) one on a cruise. I liked the products used at BW, I appreciate their detail and safety measures during covid, and I am happy with the results. I was a little surprised that there wasn't a foot and leg massage; many other pedis have included those. It's not a deal breaker, though. In salons I've also had the use of massage chairs, which were a nice touch...BW is a basic, comfy elevated chair without any bells and whistles. BW is set apart from other places because of their amenities and ambiance. It's a beautiful place and the vibe is perfectly relaxing. However, no amenities are available because of the pandemic. This is completely understandable, but I do feel that their prices should reflect that to some degree. They haven't discounted them at all. They do offer a complementary bottle of water (but it's single use plastic! I bring my own.). If a customer can lift their mask to drink water, why not offer a cup of tea? Or one of the fun juice/smoothie samples that I've had at other BW spas? Also, I would have checked out the products in the lobby, but it was really dark, and the tech didn't tell me what she'd used. I came here on a Saturday afternoon for a massage. I made an appointment online. It was fairly simple. I arrived about 45 minutes before my appointment. I'm glad I did because parking is a nightmare. This location is nestled in between a bunch of outlet stores with Neiman Marcus Outlet being next door. Thus, they do not have a private lot. Since it was the weekend, it was crowded. The jacuzzi was crowded, The suana was crowded and the steam room was crowded. Nobody was wearing masks because they are no longer required. This might be an issue for some. I got the Deep Tissue Massage. My therapist was Mai. She was excellent and is the reason for the 5 star rating. I am used to spas providing lite snacks and a variety of beverages. They provided fruit, tea and water. I wish they would put individual packaged crackers or graham crackers out for snacks. I was hungry and the fruit did not do the trick. I was told that they could only give fruit due to Covid restrictions but nothing about this place says they care anything about the spread of Covid. Will I come back? Of course! Just not on a weekend and I will make sure I bring my own snacks. read more

I enjoyed the afternoon with my sister celebrating both of our birthdays at Burke Williams in Orange, CA. The experience was phenomenal. There were generous amenities provided and everyone was so friendly and helpful. The spa pool was comfortably hot, but not hot enough for my preference. The misting room felt like sitting in a rain forest close to a waterfall - great for refreshing after a hot sauna. The Eucalyptus Steam room was enjoyable, however my sister got a small steam burn from the uncovered steam unit by the door when she exited. Management should consider placing a barrier around the steam emitting unit so people do not get burned walking by it. The dry sauna was enjoyable as well. I did not see a wet sauna option without any aromatherapy in case that is important for those sensitive to scents or who dislike Eucalyptus. Amanda, the aesthetician, was so awesome. She really knows how to pamper a guest. She explained everything she was placing on my face. She gave me great massages AND acupressure while the peels set. I was in heaven!!! God bless her for her expertise and for her desire to help others relax and improve their skin. I had the anti-aging 80 minute facial. I'm seeing immediate significant results on just the 3rd day. The spa was very well run. It was continuously being picked up and amenities rotated. Everyone who worked there was well informed to answer any questions we had about the facilities and where we needed to be. The lockers were ample. There was fruit water in every lounge and in several areas of the women's spa, including on the ledge of the jacuzzi spa. Wet ice towels by the saunas and clean towels everywhere. There were even aromatherapy cold towels too. The front desk was super friendly and arranged for an immediate tour of the facility. We were given plastic slippers and a bathrobe to change into. The robe was so so so soft! I couldn't get over how soft the robes were. Overall a fantastic experience! I look forward to returning again to enjoy this very well run spa and Amanda's amazing facials. read more

I have the deluxe membership here for about over a year now and I'm so happy with it! After having a few different massage therapists and estheticians, I can say that my absolute favorites are Janet for massages, and Oksana for my facials. They are soooo good, detailed, nice, and thorough in what they do. The spa itself has lot of amenities to use. It is also co-ed. The women's locker room is equipped with everything a gal can want, cold towels, aromatherapy towels, fresh fruit, water, showers, hair products, skin care, etc. the staff is very helpful as well and are always around to help. I also really like the Products they carry! I have Youth Cell from their H2V line and it's a must have. I also carry a moisturizer from Eminence that i got there and also really like it! Oksana really takes her time getting to know each clients concerns and delivers! Her face massages are to die forrrr. Also, janet has always put me in a crazy coma with each massage. She is THAT good!! Highly recommend them both and this location as it's bigger than the other two I've been to. read more

Wonderful day at Burke Williams =Total relaxation They have such a beautiful location and facilities. The main waiting room is very luxurious and comfortable with fresh fruit and water . The woman's area has everything you would require after or before your spa treatments. I only wish they had a private dressing rooms . Love the sauna my favorite and they has a huge steam room and Roman style jacuzzi. Lots of attendants around if you need assistance. My facial by far was best I have had in a long time left my skin glowing . They also have a nice selection of skin care treatments for sale in the entrance. I love Burke Williams spa! It's so nice in there. From the friendly, professional staff, to the nice waiting areas, and of course the spa area with jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, nice showers and lockers too. But the best part was my massage. It was perfect! I had a total relaxation massage and it was great! I always leave there planning my next visit back because it's a great way to have some me time. My fiancé gifted me an 80 minute deep tissue massage for my birthday and while the massage was decent, the therapist didn't realize that it was an 80 and gave me a 50 minute. At the time I wasn't sure how long my massage was and it was also my fault for not asking, so it's definitely not all on the therapist :) However, management was so nice and accommodating! They were able to charge me for what I received that day (50 min vs 80), and a gift certificate to come back to enjoy an actual 80 minute massage. I scheduled an 80 minute Burke Williams Massage and got Biviana/Beviana. She was EXCEPTIONAL. I'm a massage therapist as well and really liked her technique. She was professional and always checked in to see how I was doing or if she needed to change the pressure. I'd definitely book with her again! The spa was well kept and continuously getting cleaned. Sometimes the hot tub is scalding but yesterday it was at just the right temperature. There's also a eucalyptus steam room and a dry sauna. Just a little bit of everything which is nice. Overall I enjoyed my experience at Burke Williams and can't wait to go back to escape the everyday hustle :) read more

Burke Williams is a high end day spa. It's not the kind of day spa that you come to visit to use the amenities. You have to have an appointment for a massage, manicure, pedicure, or skin care. They use quality products on your skin that smell good and are for sale. After my last facial I purchased the skin toner and an age defying cream that is helping tighten my old sagging skin. I can actually feel that it is making a difference after using it for 3 weeks. The facility has large sized lockers. You are provided a key on a loop that fits on your wrist or your ankles. They provide heavy soft white robes with a hoodie. I wish I had one of these robes and will probably purchase one someday. The towels are Giganta-enormous. you get two of them. I recently also received a washcloth which was a first. And you are directed to wear their shoes which are plastic sandals. I find the sandals very ill fitting and I'm afraid I will fall someday. When I told the staff they said I can wear my own sandals. The Jacuzzi is large, the jets are strong. My complaint is the temperature is not warm enough. I have never felt a need to get out because I'm too hot. They have a cold mist room which is like standing in a cold fog that is bordering on rain. It's OK. I prefer a cold dip. There's a steam room which could be steamier and warmer. It seems the Jets shoot out steam about every 15 minutes. Not hot enough for this girl. The dry heat room is small and not enough room to lay down if there is more than one person in there. There are containers of ice water infused with citrus, an urn of hot lemongrass tea (which is delicious) and bananas and oranges for you. They have decreased the number of spigots in the showers to just one and have lowered the water pressure. Sad face. Staff are very very good, kind, and polite. read more

My wife made me an appointment for my birthday to visit the Burke Williams in Orange today. I had never been to a spa before so I was excited to enjoy the full experience for the first time. The front desk was very welcoming, and the tour was helpful in explaining all the amenities, but I can't say the same for the massage experience. I explained during the initial assessment that I prefer some pressure on my massage. I agreed to the deep tissue enhancement since it was a bday complimentary, but explained I'd like to dial back to more of a medium pressure. This was explained to my massage therapist who is hard-of-hearing. I appreciate that an assistant was present to help with communicating before the massage started. After a few minutes of the massage starting however, it didn't feel like medium. It was feeling pretty painful and uncomfortable. I tried to explain to the therapist that the pressure was too deep for me. She asked if I wanted "more relaxing" to which I replied yes. From there the massage continued but this time with essentially no pressure. I wasn't enjoying this much either. I felt rude giving feedback again because I know she was trying her best, but I also wanted to enjoy my bday gift. Thus, I asked if she could apply more pressure. She gestured "okay" with her hands, but after a few more minutes I came to the conclusion she might not have understood me. I didn't notice a difference. Woefully, I asked one more time if she could apply more medium pressure. This time she definitely understood but, by then I was already 41 minutes into my 50 minute massage. I was bummed that I missed out on what could have been an amazing relaxing massage. Lastly, I was told the enhancement was complimentary but I noticed I was still charged for it regard. Overall, I paid $191 but didn't feel like I got my moneys worth unfortunately. My suggestion to the spa would be to avoid pairing this therapist with first-timers like myself who might give more feedback while dialing in their preference. If given the opportunity, I would definitely give them a second try. Update: the manager of the spa reached out to me, acknowledged my concern, and made a concerted effort to remedy the situation.
