I ordered the double hamburger combo with cheese. It comes with fries and a drink. The food was ready, literally, within seconds after I ordered. The burger was good, but not great. The fries were thin cut and very good. You get a lot of food for the price. Much better than the chains! I loved the '50s vibe including rock & roll songs from the period on the speakers. Good Burgers. If your here and want fast food stop here not the big chains. Local place with very good food.Very pleasant staff. Stopped by right before closing as I thought they stayed open until 10pm. Young lady took my order still and everything was still prepared just as requested and just as good as on our other visits. Great bacon double cheese burgers. Perfect crispy fries just as I ordered them. And they are able to dip ice cream cones in chocolate very few places do that. I've been wanting to try Burky's since I saw their tv spot on BeachTV. I ordered a double cheeseburger no pickle no mustard add bacon, and a three-way chili w/ onion. The double cheeseburger was really good. I could have probably ordered a second. Funny enough, the double cheeseburger tasted exactly like a cheeseburger from Wendy's. It's no surprise since the owner, Wayne Burkhart, used to work with Dave Thomas. The Cincinnati chili was nothing special but then again, it's not something you'd see on a traditional burger joint menu. I would have preferred if the spaghetti was cooked a little more al dente. The service is quick and the staff is friendly. The food is also reasonably priced. I'd visit again the next time in town! read more

We consider ourselves burger experts in our family. We enjoy Five Guys, we enjoy In and Out Burger in CA. But, no burger is as good as a Burky's Burger. We love the thin patties, the thin cut fries as well as the ice tea. When I am really hungry, I may even get the old fashion corn dog. The food was fresh and tasted good, but I've been dealing with an upset stomach for almost 24 hours after eating here. I had my toddler with me and he wasn't interested in eating at the time, so we took his meal to go. I threw it away and am so glad I did! My biggest complaint is the self-serve drink machine. It was covered in mold. I did not drink from it at all. It was rather off-putting. There was black mold on the drink machine itself, the metal plate that is a splatter guard. It is removable and washable but has obviously not been being cleaned for quite some time. There was also mold behind the drink machine and to the right of it. Basically completely surrounded with mold. I used to work in a restaurant myself, and we always fought mold on the drink machines. But this is pure neglect and lack of cleaning. The kitchen also looked pretty dirty. Definitely will not return and do not recommend. I can't believe a self-service drink machine in the front of house was in that condition. I can't imagine what the back of house looks like. read more

The woman in the drive through, I think her name is Carolyn, she is terribly rude to me and my boyfriend. She had an attitude the whole time, she actually called me stupid which blew my mind. Food is so good! Feels like a classic diner setting. It was a little hectic when we went in there, and there wasn't anywhere to get rid of the trays after you eat; which wasn't ideal because then there wasn't any clean tables for the next people to eat, but other than that it was good! read more

It's not bad.. it's not great... just quick food that tastes pretty good, and a still reasonable price. Great for kids / families. Smaller place inside for seating but moves very quickly. The burgers are the thin, smashed style. I would say it's best for a quick lunch than a dinner type burger. read more

This place was great. The food was really good. The service was fine. The price was right. They are so quick with your food. It is like eating in a diner but you order at the counter. This place seems like a great grill that have survived the test of time. Their sweet treats after dinner selection and taste is wonderful as well. Skip the chains and tourist trap and eat here. Food here is just okay. My kids really enjoyed the double burger! I don't eat beef, so I got the grilled chicken sandwich which would've been good if the bread wasn't burnt. The Oreo milkshake tasted more like just milk and Oreos, lacking ice cream. Fries were cold. Staff here is very polite however, which is why I gave this place a 3star rating. read more

Good quick bite! When we stopped in to pick up our keys, we were informed that our condo wasn't actually ready yet and to come back in an hour. Walked in and had a taco salad, asked what kind of chili was on the taco salad and she said iDk. Party ordered fry's and asked for ranch. They said that it was a extra 56 cents ??? Thought it was a weird number but I did not worry about it. When I started eating my taco salad I saw that under the chili there was about 2 inches of water under the food. But the icing on the cake was that that taco chips that were on the side were in a little bag that held 4-7 chips were STALE. The mens bathroom had what it looked like barnacles all over the sink and the bathroom was dirty with corrosion, the fan was annoying and I was not sure that the flush was going to work and I only did number 1. All around a MUST miss. P.S As I am writing this I am looking for food in the car because I am still hungry after paying for a 12.00 taco salad. read more

Hamburger with everything was great, no cheese. A bit messy but the messier we have found the better it taste. Hotdog was good. Snicker Shake had to be consumed with a spoon. The snicker pieces were way to big. Some so big they barely fit on the spoon. Strawberry malt-excellent. read more

Like most Myrtle Beach area restaurants it is very overrated and also somewhat difficult to review. I will just address things individually. Honestly, 3 stars is a bit of a stretch but food and service wise nothing was terrible. You order at the counter and pick it up much like at McDonalds but unlike McDonalds the lady taking orders was very nice, friendly and helpful. Food was ready pretty quick. Generally speaking the place was very fresh and clean but there was only one table open and while it had been serviced it was filthy dirty with ketchup and food particles on it. Had to get some napkins and clean it myself. Ordered a double cheeseburger and a good thing I did because otherwise I would still be there looking for the meat patty. The meat seemed to be hand pressed, fresh and the taste was about average for such. A minuscule slice of American Cheese was melted between the meat patties. Burger is a pretty good old drugstore style burger but with a single meat patty I would not be able to say that. French fries were frozen which is pretty much a burger joint rating killer for me, that said they were decent by frozen fry standards. Milk Shake was so-so and made with soft serve ice cream, another ratings killer for me. Prices are very reasonable and given its close proximity to the beach it is probably well above all of the other informal dining places in the immediate area. read more

Fun little place we discovered after a day on the beach. It's just a block over, so convenient location. Looks like an old-fashioned malt shop from the 1960s! We had burgers and shakes (what else?) and everything was delicious. They also have hot dogs and chili, ice cream, sandwiches and fries. It's perfect for lunch. Service was friendly and very quick too, and prices are reasonable. We will be back next time we're at MB. read more
