There's also a filtered water fountain by the locker rooms.

He asked me my goals and took about the first 8 minutes of the class to assess my fitness level and pick the correct weights & exercises for me. He is great at his job. I am sore (in a good way) in all the target areas I needed, including glutes, hamstrings and quads... And I'm sure some other muscles in the vicinity I don't know the names of... Haha. You're surrounded by other folks sweating but is not a group exercise. It's more like "parallel play" in childhood developmental talk LOL. Each kid in the room is doing his own thing, at his own station, but no interaction. Costly. Membership was nearly $700-1K for a year. Plus in the already cramped exercise area, the owner's dog was roaming near the members working out. Unhygienic. This world has literally gone to the dogs! I mean really, no kidding. Looking at this gym from the outside, you don't really think much to it, since it is a bit hidden in the shopping center, but once you enter, it's like an entire sandbox of exercise equipment! There's a couple rows of a variety of cardio equipment, as well as machines and free-weights; all of which are spaced out properly so it's not like the person next to you is breathing down your neck. I signed up for the signature package online, which allows me to access the gym 24/7 with my key card; even if the staff is off for holidays, such as the Fourth of July! The only sad thing, is once I leave Buffalo, I won't be able to take this gym with me, since I don't have one in my hometown. This is by far my favorite gym I've ever been to in every aspect! Men's room was clean and well designed. Sound silly probably, but the best aspect about it was the lighting. There's a newer design (finally) by LA Fitness to have much more subtle lighting in the place. Most of them you get blasted the second you walk in by harsh, oppressive, artificial light. It feels like you're walking into a surgical theater. But the new ones, the lighting is much more refined, I love it. I was in town for a week and was a big fan of this location. The only negative I could even muster was that I remembered I was working out over the remains of the old Holiday Showcase Theaters, where I saw classics like Goonies and Who Framed Roger Rabbit when I was a kid! :(
