At first everything seemed to be great until they started the work on my residence. They didn't finish all the work the first time they were here. They didn't make me aware of this either it wasn't till days later that I was able to access the room that I noticed they hadn't finished the job. They rescheduled to come back and did not have the room retested for asbestos cleerence afterward. They removed a tile floor from my kitchen and used such force and lack of caution they cracked studs in the wall and completely damaged the tile bathroom wall on the other side of the wall they were working on. When I told them about this they took photos and told me I would be contacted by there office which I wasn't. I contacted them again at which time they told me I would hear from them within 48 hours, that didn't happen. They submitted a $9.995 bill to my insurance company without ever addressing the damaged they cause to my home. I would not recommend them because of there lack of accountability and overall unprofessional manner in handling of the asbestos removal at my home. read more

We had an unpleasant experience with Burns Environmental. Mark Wresh called to ask my help to get the insurance company to pay him. I said I would call the insurance company and asked him to send me a copy of the invoice. In the mail I received not only the invoice but a slap in the face. He sent me a mechanics lien for $200 against my home. Even though he sent the lien I still called my insurance company BUT I also decided to write this review. Consequentially, the insurance company said they sent payment to Burns. In all fairness, the work done by Burns workers to remove asbestos was done well. read more

When I had damage to my home, and asbestos was discovered in my flooring, Burns Environmental was referred to me for clean up. The crew they sent out arrived on time and worked through the morning to get the job done. They took time to cover floors and carpets to keep areas clean where they were working. They closed off the area in plastic and told me the process with the machines they were leaving to run until a technician would come out and test the air. I was worried about asbestos, but was assured all of the flooring and some affected drywall was removed and the areas had been sealed. The next day the technician was out to test and my area was clean and passed. Another service person came out to take down the plastic and cleaned up the area. I was happy with everyone I interacted with, the company was informative, prompt and I would recommend them to anyone in need of clean up services. read more

April from Burns promptly came out to discuss what needed to be done. She answered all my concerns. The next day a great team came out, taped and covered everything and went to work. I needed someone to come out and give me a quote for asbestos abatement. Sean said he could meet me right away, great. I'm happy already. Comes out, gives me a price says " oh I can knock this out in 3-4 hours" Great. Tells me he can't come in next week, but he can come in the week after. So I reach out to him to see when he's going to come out and complete the job, but now he flips the script and he tells me that I have to go out and get an asbestos tester. Cost my client $525, the problem is we relied on Seans expertise and had made moves accordingly in escrow, now because he came out and completely misquoted me "$1,400 MAX"- Literally his words; we went ahead and made arrangements and locked ourselves into the deal. Now turns out that this is going to cost 10-15 times more than what he had quoted, $10,000- $25,000 depending on who you talk to. That's very unprofessional and it has put me in a bad spot where I have to go out and fix this problem because someone who should know what they're talking about has no idea. We hired Burns for an asbestos contamination cleanup for our new house, and to remove and clean up some other areas that had asbestos materials as well. Found them to be thorough and professional. My PM was engaged with us during our visit and followed up with the company who originally wrote the contamination report to clarify concerns before filing the reports. On the day of the cleanup the entire crew was there before the appointment time and ready to go. After the clean up the house was left clean and all removed parts that were organized and parts were clearly grouped and taped. I would highly recommend their services. read more

Bret the project manager called me to set up an appointment to review the work required on my home following a broken hot water main, and was very flexible making a time that worked for me. Bret explained everything that needed to be completed and again worked with me to set up a time for his crew to come tear out the damaged walls which contained asbestos. The crew was on-time and knocked out the work pretty quickly for what was required. They kept things clean during the work, and then returned to take out all the plastic barrier following the drying and air filtration time.... again, on-time and was finished and on his way in a matter of minutes. We had a washing machine leak (major) in an indoor laundry enclosure. I called ServPro and they recommended Burns. The wood floor was ruined in that area and since I grew up in that home I knew that underneath was the original Armstrong vinyl flooring that contained asbestos. I was heartbroken because of the ruined wood floor but they were so professional and did such a great and careful job in the removal of that floor I was somewhat comforted. They came and cleaned up the poor work that was done and I have used them for every abatement after that and I have been extremely happy with thier work. Nathan Carrasco has been my project manager for each of my projects and I could not ask for better customer service. He has been very helpful and worked with me to plan and schedule all the work we needed to have done. I know nothing of Asbestos .... when a pipe broke my insurance company sent them out to test for asbestos before removing the kitchen floor ... yep .. there was asbestos and they had to do the whole quarantine thing to remove the floors. ... they were timely, did what they said, and explained the process. Do not use this company. I hired them because my neighbor, who owns a mold testing company, recommended Michael at Burns. They came and did an estimate after we completed 2 different tests that determined that the mold was not dangerous to people, but it is to the wood. They were to remove 10 feet of stucco from an outside wall and remediate whatever mold they found and remove the debris from the demolition. We signed a contract that delineated the scope of work to be completed, 8 out of ten items were about remediating the mold, 2 were regarding the demo. When they opened the wall, it was full of mold and the wood was beyond repair. Both bathrooms would have to be gutted and completely rebuilt. I immediately called Michael and told him there would be no need to do anything with the mold because we were going to tear it all out. He agreed. Then I got a call from my contractor that they had covered everything in plastic and left an evaporator. I called Michael and told him, none of that was necessary and they should come and pick up the machine. It was a Friday, so he said he'd get it on Monday. I unplugged the machine because it wasn't worth the power to run.  Two weeks later, I got an invoice for the full estimate, almost $2200 just to open the wall! They were there for less than 3 hours and did no remediation! Michael no longer worked for the company, so no one knew what had transpired. After a year of begging them to invoice me for the work that was actually done,  (which we would have gladly paid) and them telling me, "we've given you a discount of $450" (that took months) and "you signed a contract", we ended up in small claims court. The judge seemed to take my side that they were being "arbitrary" in their calculation of money owed. Stay tuned, I'll post the results. Don't sign a contract with these people, they'll try to hold you to it, even if they don't do the work. read more

Burns Environmental Services provided the assessment and testing I needed before I was able to complete my construction project. They were able to have a subcontractor provide asbestos testing after I initially had a water leak inside my walls, then Burns environmental was able to provide the abatement process/treatment to remove the asbestos from my property completely.
