Rolled tacos with guacamole, sour cream, and cheese.

Imagine this: You were out all night drinking with your friends and the alcohol comes back and slaps you in the face the next day. What sounds good? Breakfast. Preferably something cheesy, warm, and has carbs. This is a solid burrito spot that I've been coming to for years. The menu is straightforward with no frills. Get your breakfast supreme burrito, ask for some red and green sauce, and go. You won't be disappointed. You can even get your burrito enchilada style or chimichanga for $2.50 more. I'd say it is safe to pass on their rolled tacos though.

Burritos keep getting smaller and smaller. Been coming to this location for years and not sure if I will continue . Taste is still great but please add more to your burritos. Not worth the money any longer

The basic breakfast burrito is potatoes and eggs, but you have to add cheese for about $7 total. It was pretty good with nothing outstanding, just a solid and safe morning choice. Red sauce was better than green.

It's local and classic burritos and I've not been disappointed. They also serve breakfast burritos all day!

Even though they got my order wrong, the food I did get was really good We got good service at the counter. And we did take our food home. I will come back and try the chicken burrito that I wanted and see how it is, but the steak was good. That could have been upsetting for someone who doesn't eat red meat though so I hope it was just an off day for them.

    Making the best burritos!

Great service and the best burritos in town. I love this place. Great service and fast service. Their red sauce is the best.

If you are looking for that homestyle taste, this is a good place to swing by! GREEN CHILI BURRITO- who doesn't like slow cooked tender meat braised in a hearty sauce? The green chili is delicious and balanced and not too beefy flavored. I think it's comprable to the green chili at Carolina's (which most locals know of) Calm down Carloina-lovers! The tortillas at Burrito Express are good quality but not quite that of the homemade counterparts at Carolinas. RED CHILI BREAKFAST BURRITO- The red chili was bright red which made me think the red chili had premade sauce used to make it. The breakfast version of the burrito includes eggs and potatoes mixed in. This one was alright, as the pieces of beef are sparse and all you taste is the egg and red chili sauce. I think the green chili was overall more flavorful. RED and GREEN SALSA- the condiment that really caps the flavor of the burrito. Most places have the common red and green sauce as if it was a standardized recipe. Sauce is ususally under-valued and over-looked. Here, the sauce was noticaby good and had a depth that stood out. I want to venture to say that they roast the ingredients to enhance the flavor before they get blended for the sauce. I feel like I should be getting charged for this sauce but luckily it comes complimentary with your food. SIZE MATTERS- I did the burrito-meter test and compared to the size of a water bottle and it was a little smaller, so I didn't feel like I was ripped off, but didn't feel like it was super value either. COVID RATING: below average Cooks wearing face coverings and gloves. Provide Sanitizer for guests and have spaced outside tables for dining. No barrier at point of sale between guest and staff. Was not able to tell if they enforced distancing for their lines. But the eating utensils were all grouped together for self-serve which was also in the same console as the trash recepticle.

I sent my husband to get burritos, the cashier lady had an attitude, rolling her eyes at customers. We asked extra salsa and she literally 25 plus, normally they are stingy with salsa! She gave it to us because she knows she was being rude at first.

Enchilada Sauce just leaking all over the. And of course there's no napkins in the damn bag.

Just careless service honestly like I ordered to go and got shave all over my food. As well as there's no napkins in the bag for me to even clean up in my car. This shouldn't have to happen to you customers ordering Togo.

From the moment we walked in, the ambiance, customer service, and drinks were amazing. I'm a HUGE mezcal lover, and they had a great assortment of mezcals and tequilas to choose from. If that's your thing, you will definitely appreciate their drink menu! Since we were heading to a show afterward, we didn't want to get too full, so we decided to share a few appetizers instead of ordering full entrées. The portions were surprisingly generous! We tried the chicharrón with guacamole, ahi tuna tostadas, and the Aguachile ribeye. Everything was delicious, but the ribeye was definitely a favorite. We're already fans of it from their sister restaurant, Blu Seafood, so we knew we had to order it here. Just keep in mind that at Agave it's served as an appetizer, so the portion is smaller so but absolutely worth it! And of course, we couldn't leave without dessert. We finished with their tres leches cake, and OMG... absolutely amazing. The perfect ending to the night! A special shoutout to our waitress, Jazmyn. She gave us incredible service, was so kind, attentive, and really knowledgeable about the menu. She made an already great experience even better. Great atmosphere, amazing drinks, delicious food, and outstanding service. We will DEFINITELY be back!

It fed the both of us just right. For dessert we had the Tres Leches cake and man we loved it too. The cake was moist and sweet but the ice cream was mild so it went perfect with the cake. I will say they close a little early on a Friday. Parking is a breeze in the large complimentary lot that surrounds the Mexican restaurant and bar. Ambiance (4.5/5): Trendy-looking Mexican restaurant. And a spacious one at that. Plenty of booth and table seating. We opted to sit at the bar. Pretty much the ideal restaurant experience for me. Nice without being stuffy. Service (4.5/5): Friendly service that was pretty efficient. What was awesome is they let us stay a good amount after close. Since they were cleaning up, they still had stuff to do, which allowed us to enjoy the experience without feeling rushed. Food (N/A): We had dinner prior so we were just there for drinks. They were nice enough to provide us with some free chips and salsa even though we were just having drinks. Two salsas, with one being a little too spicy for my taste. I can only handle a little kick. Good chips. I'll definitely have to come back for their food! Drinks (5/5): I appreciate it when a bar offers quality drinks that are creative. You'll find that at The Mexicano. Naturally, I went with the margarita flight which allows you to try four different frozen margs (prickly pear, lime, peach, and one more that's escaping me). And that's not all. They have a self-serve candy bar where you can add gummy bears, sour worms, and a variety of other candies to your margaritas. How cool! I've never seen anyone do this. If that wasn't enough, they have an all-day happy hour, every day of the week. I also haven't seen anything like that. Chef Joey is a genius! It was clean, the staff responded quickly to me, but I was the only person at lunchtime on the restaurant side, and there were only two people on the bar side. Despite that it was loud. They need sound attenuation, My server was prompt, and freely shared her menu favorites when I asked. Sadly I'm not really a mole fan, her recommendation, but did try the enchiladas divorciadas. First the chips and salsa... the salsa was basically puréed tomatoes. No heat at all. Just some salt. I asked for something spicier and the server found me some habanero salsa. That was tasty, but it probably had very little habanero in it. Again, no better than a low-med heat. I grew up across the southwest so to me that was disappointing. The enchiladas? I really wanted to like this place but honestly? It was unseasoned boiled and shredded chicken, wrapped in a raw / untoasted tortilla. And drowned in some that was not enchilada sauce. The red sauce tasted like tomato sauce. I'm used to red sauce being pepper based. The spicier and more roasted the better. No pepper discernible. The green sauce tasted like it had a hint of green Chiles but mostly tomatillo. Also boring but better than the red. Neither was good. I ate it, I was hungry and it wasn't greasy, but... this was a midwestern spice-hating simulacrum of an enchilada. No bueno, demasiada aburrida. So to sum it up; decent but slightly loud facility, wonderful server, and I would say forgettable food but the reality is it was unforgettably boring.
