Please don't get their food, it's not worth the hour and half wait for delivery. The food was cold and very greasy. We were craving Mexican food and this was available on Foodler. 5 stars for the burritos. They don't have meat sitting out in trays like most burrito places do. They make them in the back, and I'm pretty sure the meat is cooked to order because it did take a little while longer than normal. Definitely worth it though. When in doubt, I steak and cheese it out. I was pleasantly surprised of how tasty it was. The Burritos Pizzeria variety comes in a baguette, not the traditional sub roll, and came toasted with fresh ingredients. Super juicy and delicious (i was sober for the record), with the perfect meat:condiment:bun ratio. I won't however go above 3 stars for the fact that the place is in no way welcoming. The name says it all... FUCKING GROSS PIZZA! I think the head chef was high as a kite. I came from the Midway Cafe to get a quick "yummy" so I wouldn't get wasted, and he tried to charge a man $5.25 for a slice of Pepperoni Pizza! The guy and I looked at each other, he grabbed a menu and said "It's $1.75!" The cashier said "It is?!" and I ran out of there... after another drink at the Midway, I was ready to go back and order... I asked for a slice of cheese. I saw the "cook" grab a slice off of a tray that was cooked GOD KNOWS WHEN, throw it in the oven, and continue to clean the kitchen... I hope that oven killed whatever was on his hands! When the E. Coli slice was ready, I was worried... It looked bad. It tasted bad.... It was like Chuck E. Cheese started serving Tombstone pizza. I wasn't drunk enough. I've had bad last call pizza before, (remember that INDIAN pizza place / store that was next to Sunoco and Machine in the Fenway? It's kind of bad like that...) but this was the tops! Someone else COMPLAINED about getting sour cream on your taco then whined about "not ordering a taco supreme". "Taco supreme" is taco bell lingo and I recommend you stick to going there. My daughter and I decided to have a fast food Friday so I went through my restaurant.com app and saw that I had a $5 certificate for BP. After reviewing all the various selections on the menu we decided to get the honey mustard chicken on a 16" baguette. The chicken was a cut up frozen chicken patty. How disappointing. The baguette however was amazingly crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.. So delicious! I tossed out the contents embedded in the baguette and wrapped it up to put my tuna fish in the next day. Anyway, we also got some Al Pastor enchiladas. Now that would've been pretty damn good IF the pork wasn't so grisley. Every bite I took I had to take the grisle out of my mouth. Ewe. Ruined that experience for me. The rice was just OK and the black beans were good. The guacamole was already a brownish color, so I tossed that immediately and the sour cream was poured on top of all 3 hot enchiladas instead of in a separate little container on the side, so it looked like indescribable white yuck on top of the melted cheese. I scraped that mess off. Lastly we got some fried chicken which was fried so hard and over cooked my daughter almost broke a tooth biting into one of the drumsticks. She said the other drumsticks was ok. Fries were delish, but I never met a French fry that I didn't like. I digress. All in all, I rate this place a 3. Not the best and not the worst for a neighborhood fast food joint, but I can tell you this, I have 1 more $5 certificate left and I need to spend a minimum of $10 to use it. Last week, I had a Chipotle burrito on Friday (we all have our lapses in judgment, especially at lunchtime). Saturday night came around, and I thought "you know what? It's like going to a place with Sushi in its name and ordering a noodle dish and expecting it to be as good as the sushi. (Well, it's kind of like that...) Yes, the place is gross. Yes, the pizza is mediocre. But order the damn burritos - or better the yummy quesadillas or better still- the amazing Mexican-style carne asada tacos. No corn tortillas but they do come with onion and cilantro and really awesome fresh salsa. And be sure to order the tacos Mexican style because they also have your average Tex Mex tacos with shredded cheese and lettuce. And those are decent, also. The 16 inch steak subs are delicious and one of a kind here, must try! Not only are they huge but they use freshly made French baguettes here, they're perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Steak bomb comes with sausage, yummm. The steak and egg sub with all the fixings is also bomb! I'd have to say the real winner from this place though is the burritos. Wrapped tight and neatly, just the right balance of rice, beans and meat, it's a real authentic burrito. We meant to order carnitas with shrimp the other day but ended up getting steak and shrimp, I guess that does typically go better together, hah! It did turn out delicious though. Fresh guac and salsa with cheese all wrapped in a soft burrito with tender steak and shrimp, yuuuummmmm. My husband is in a band, and he was playing next door at The Midway Cafe (which, by the way, serves no food, so it's not really a cafe, now is it?) and in between sets, we were hungry so we went to Burritos. We split a large buffalo chicken sub and it was around 10$. You might be thinking "10 bucks for a sub? thats crazy!" but let me tell you, it was HUGE! It was a good 18 inches long. And DELICIOUS! It was on either a sour dough or baguette. Either way, it was fresh and crispy on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. The buffalo chicken was perfect and saucy. The menu is HUGE! And they have EVERYTHING. Everything you'd expect from a pizza place, a sub shop, and a Spanish restaurant. Everything from Pizza, to subs, to pasta, to burritos (as the name implies haha) and tacos. I was in a bit of a hurry and just needed sustenance in its most basic form. I was told that BP was "fine for a slice", so it seemed like a logical choice... People, listen to me. I have been in some shady ass places, but nothing, NOTHING could prepare me for this (save maybe that 7 movie). I walked into an absolute nightmare. The two "customers" present (neither had any food or drink in front of him) sat at opposite ends of a single table, and one of them was seemingly unconscious, ... or dead. The other stared straight forward blankly and could have also been taken for dead if not for a low groaning noise (maybe he was just dying). Given that I did not plan to dine with these gentlemen, I proceeded to the counter where I was greeted by... No one. To be fair, I would grant anyone ample understanding for not wanting to be held responsible for what I saw atop the counter that, I guess, was what the establishment offered in the way of food. Therefore, I certainly do not blame this mystery man or woman for abandoning his or her post. The pizza, to use the term liberally, was as old, dried out and unsettling and the living corpses seated near me, and of the same greenish, white coloring. I feel like I could easily work this into the next installment of the Saw movie series. Without daring to try the food, BP gets one star, an upside down one, not in a cool Slayer kind of way though. read more

Having recently moved into this neighborhood I was ECSTATIC when I saw that this place (which at first glance appears to be a crappy pizza/sub shop) was run by spanish speaking folks that had a little nook on their menu there tacos, burritos, and even pupusas live. Or perhaps, poopoosas would be more accurate. I went in tonight and got the trifecta. Two Al Pastor, Two chicken and Two steak. Tacos are all served with a huge glob of sour cream on them (dollop x 3). WTF is this? I didn't ask for a taco supreme. Real tacos don't need a squirt of white stuff on them. That's not really the problem though. The al pastor tacos were grisly. The pieces of fat (not chicharones) were disgusting and cleverly hidden by random chunks of pineapple. Was this pork in their al pastor? I had a hard time telling what kind of meat it once was. Ugh The chicken... holy crap, not even edible. It had a fake smoky smell. Kind of like that pour some cheap mezcal over it on the grill. When I dug into the steak though, I understood it more. The steak tacos were the best, but hardly even two stars worthy. From the steak you could tell the grill was 'well-seasoned'. I'm pretty sure in my tacos were the scraping of many steak grinders and whatever the frack else is on the menu that hits the grill. The side of rice was the most edible thing I got. I mean, it was greasy like the tacos, but it seems the best bet for not getting diarrhea tomorrow. This place has a huge menu including pizza/subs as well as Mexican food. They don't skimp on the portions. I had the buffalo tender sub and I needn't have ordered the large. It was literally 18 inches long and yes, I know what literally means. More importantly, it was good quality. The roll was real bread, a crusty French baguette, not like something you buy in a bag at the grocery. The ingredients were good. All in all, they far exceeded my expectations. The vibe is definitely that of a small, independent business, not some upscale place, but the quality is well above average for this type of joint. I'll definitely come back. read more
