Great local burrito place. The meat is actually grilled, not boiled. And while the food at Taqueria San Rafael is good, I prefer Burritoville just because I don't feel like there may some extra ingredients back in the kitchen. (I don't know, but I always get a cockroach vibe at Taqueria San Rafael.) Burritoville is small, clean and YUMMY! Great selection of drinks and hot sauces too! Burritoville used to be our favorite, go-to place for burritos however Vanessa at the front counter is so abrasive and rude it taints the experience. She is curt, consistently makes order entry errors so that by the time the order is opened at home it is too late to request that something be adjusted. Our family thought our first encounter with Vanessa was a "bad day" but the second encounter was just the same. read more

In all my years of working in numerous states in Mexico I never saw a burrito there. So I guess if you want "authentic" don't even think burrito. That said this place has really good chicken mole, and as long as you're not eating real mex may as well try the tofu verde, which is surprisingly good. Best salsa here is the hottest one. I was just visiting town and a friend suggested Burritoville Cafe. I ordered the carne asada burrito with mild sauce and pinto beans. It's so good, very flavorful and super affordable. Burritoville gets the job done: burritos, tacos and the like- and quick. Not the most amazing burritos I've ever had, but for North Bay they fill the void better than a lot of places. I swear, every time we park the car and are a about to walk in-- a HUGE group of 6 people walk-in. Basically, this is the 'go to' place in the neighborhood for Mexican food. Pollo asado burrito was pretty tasty. You could taste chicken, the beans, the rice, and the seasoning without one overpowering the other, which is a pretty big deal to me. Prices weren't too bad around $6 for a regular burrito. Chips and salsa were an additional $2. The chips were fantastic and the salsas the same. Pretty decent flavor for all the salsas that I tried. They'd definitely earn another star if they had all you can eat chips and salsa included with food purchase. This place is a hit and miss for me. While I love where it's located (beautiful Larkspur) and find the place charming, I've had better Mexican food. Ever since my Mexico trip I've held a pretty high bar on Mexy food so I'm quite picky. I had their jumbo burrito (jumbo for me, regular for most Americans) the night I first arrived here in the U.S back in 2005. I was starving, tired and jet lagged but even feeling like a wreck didn't help the taste of their food. I'm not a big fan of burritos in the first place but I've had my fair share of tasty ones. I thought the burrito was a big hunk of bland. There was meat in it but all I could taste was beans, beans, beans. Bleh! Gave this place another try a few months later and ordered their burrito again. Guess what? It's still bleh! Fast forward to 2009. I thought, hey I live in the area. I should give this place a "third" chance. Who knows, maybe their food is better. This time I ordered a quesadilla with pork. Jackpot! It's not as authentic and the meat was a bit overcooked and a little rubbery but still it was yummy. My husband and I actually looked at each other and nodded with agreement (our mouth was too full and too busy chewing to utter words). I'm coming back here again to try the rest of the menu. But for now 2 stars is all I can muster. read more

I'm not sure what all of these negative reviews are about. Burritoville doesn't look like much on the outside, some clean neon, and an interesting font with their cartoon network name. The friendliness of the workers was called into question? I can't even imagine that. These guys are blissful. I've been here 6-8 times, and always am greeted with patience, competence, and infectious smiles. The food isn't as cheap as all taquerias; it's in the the high range of average, but certainly not exorbitant. You get what you pay for here, though. It is remarkably consistently delicious. Easily customizable, how I like my burritos, and very high quality. Their black beans and rice are of a good recipe, their cilantro is fresh, their salsas are high quality. As always, I can't speak for the meat, but this is some high quality burrito action. read more

I think mostly people come here after hikes and bike rides that's what we were doing. I was craving a burger and luckily they had some here! All the other places nearby are fancy/expensive and we were just looking for a quick bite. Three of us ordered the cheeseburger combo and my dad order the chimichangas and both were really good is try it again. I've been here numerous times for the burritos and enchiladas and can confidently say that the food is flavorful and consistent. I am not a personal fan of their pastor though. You can count on fast service and a clean restaurant too. Overall a good taqueria to stop in for a solid quick meal. Burritoville is my "go to" local burrito spot - love the grilled carnitas and also the shrimp burritos. Wish they'd consistently have the Jarritos Mandarina (for some reason their orange soda goes really well with burritos - better than Orange Crush), and also wish the pico de gallo was fresher, but it's still damn good. read more

Haven't been here in about a year. I used to live nearby and went here often. The food is decent. Terrible taqueria. Always has been, always will be. I used to go here as a kid because it was cheap and near school. I went by today to see how it is now. I cannot attest to the food, but it looks much the same. After standing at the counter for 10 minutes, while employees shuffled past avoiding my gaze, a cook finally looked up and mumbled something about helping me. I smiled and said my order only to see his face go blank and walk into the back. I stood there waiting for some sort of response or another employee to come out, but no such luck. We were exploring the area in Larkspur and after playing at Dolliver Park we decided to checkout some of the areas food options. The sign out front caught my oldest son's eye and who doesn't love Mexican food!! I had the chile rellano with pinto beans and rice. The 9yo had the chicken Taquitos and 3yo had cheese quesadilla. We were the only ones there when we ordered and the food took awhile. There was only one cook and one lady working the phones, taking the counter orders and serving the food. Eventually there was a line out the door and the place was full. They could've used some help. The food was good. I ordered delivery today and received the wrong order. We ordered the two taco combo plate and a steak burrito, and both items were incorrect. We received the carne asada steak plate and a pork burrito. The carne asada was chewy and hard to eat, it tasted like beef jerky. Thought I'd be in for a treat when I walked in this small joint, but I ordered a carne asada burrito with guacamole and they coughed up a lame chicken with only black beans, rice and salsa. Okay so when my friend and I first walked in there were no clean tables. We ordered our food and the girl taking our order was rude, her eyes kept rolling and she couldn't find an ounce of happiness to smile, not even alittle smile... then we bussed our table to eat inside because it was too cold to eat out. While we were eating a lady walked in because they had forgotten to put three things in her bag, two tacos and something else. So they "fix" her order and as she gets to the door turns around because they still didn't put the tacos in her bag... Oh and they did forget to give up out chips and guacamole. We had to remind them. The service here sucks ass . Def wouldn't recommend, def won't be back! Also when the wind blows, it smells like shit! Like actual shit.. Must be from the bathroom. read more

This place rocks! Go here all the time when I want my lunch to hold to hold me over until breakfast the next day (usually I order a gigante burrito with the intention of only eating half of it and then end up eating the whole thing). Prices are very reasonable too. Only reason it's not 5 Star: About 90% of the time there will be at least one piece of meat in my burrito that is super gross and I have to spit out/discard. Not the biggest deal but it would be sorta nice if I didn't have to play burrito-based Russian Roulette every time I want lunch. read more

the boyfriend and i drove around "downtown" larkspur randomly one day and stopped in for a quick bite. there wasn't much of a choice in "downtown" larkspur (that's because it's no bigger than one block) and we found parking in front, so coming here was all by chance. the food here isn't really anything to write home about. it's a bit on the pricier side, but that was sort of expected. the boyfriend had a chicken burrito. i think it looked a little dry, but he didn't complain (maybe it was because of hunger?). I had guac and chips, which were pretty sub-par. i normally don't like salty foods, but this guac tasted like glue (not that i've ever tried glue, but if i did, i'd imagine it to taste like flavorless, globby, pasty, mush). there's a first and last time for everything and i'm sorry, burritoville...i'm not coming back. if i want a good burrito, i'll head over to mi pueblo...and so should you my dear yelpers! read more

Most delicious burritos in Marin, a real treasure. Fast service, friendly staff, and easy location on Magnolia. Often full of people, but they will take phone orders. Primarily a quick "burrito" shop, if you are looking for a repeat experience from a recent Mexican resort this is not it. That said the price is right, the food is good and plentiful, my kids (and lots of local teens) love it. Burritoville was a staple of my childhood. Every day at lunch while attending Redwood High we would either go here or TOGOs in larkspur landing. Burritoville was not only a great restaurant, but probably a primary contributor to me being 265 lbs out of high school. You live you learn I guess. Literally everything that they serve is great. The quesadillas are amazing, and the super burrito is exactly how it sounds. Super. We would swing by probably 2-3 times a week and get different things each time. Their largest burrito the "gigante" was only purchased once. While it was good, I probably didn't need 8 pounds of burrito before a film class.
