Who has anxiety when it comes to selecting a plumber to fix or replace something?? I do. Well, usually I do. But not after selecting Burtech Plumbing to replace a Pressure Regulator Valve. I dreaded the idea of calling a plumber and waiting for days for them to come and then have to block my day off because I would be given a 5 hour timeframe for their arrival. None of that happened with Burtech. They gave me a day that they would be there a very small time window and assured me I would get a call shortly before the plumber's arrival. They did not let me down. Called 15 minutes before and was here exactly on schedule. The plumber explained what he was going to do, the cost involved and the time it takes. He also answered the questions I had to make sure I had a high comfort level overall. The whole replacement valve iteration took 30 minutes tops and the cost was VERY reasonable-all done with a smile. I am very disappointed with Burtech plumbing that has all 5 reviews since they do not provide 5 star service. The business seems to take advantage of elderly clients who depend on the honesty of their service providers. My parents who are both over age 85 contacted them to fix a simple problem -- a toilet that was continuously running into the toilet itself with no leaking outside of the toilet. They received a quote for $160 to fix the problem, but instead charged $269. A week later, the problem returned and then they sent a different plumber Gino who charged an additional $190 to fix the same problem. However, a few days later, there was water all over the bathroom floor since the toilet tank now started leaking. I went over to their house in the middle of the night to assess the problem and temporarily emptied the toilet tank to stop the leak. The issue was clearly due to the improper attachment of the toilet tank that was caused when Gino had to unscrew the toilet tank. However, I called them on Monday morning to try to have them fix the issue and the receptionist said someone would return my call right away, but a few hours later, I still did not hear back. When I called again, the receptionist told me that no one was able to come today (even though I called at 7am) and they would potentially charge my parents for another visit to asses the situation the next day. I think that is unacceptable to charge elderly clients 3 times to fix the same problem and another problem that was caused by one of their own plumbers. I would not recommend Burtech plumbing due to their poor customer service. read more
