Got the Detroit style square pizza. I'm not sure what the add to the sauce, but it is different than any other pizza. Different is good.

If you live in Detroit - you know what it means to buy your liquor, lottery tickets, newspaper, and the best pizza on the block all at one place! This place serves up some great deep dish (Detroit square) or pan round pizzas and calzones among other items (torpedos), and as a party store they double as a liquor store with a vast selection of liquors, beers, wines, etc. at competitive state minimum pricing. What I note the most about the pizza - is their bread. It is light, fluffy, fresh baked and does not taste dense like what you are used to. That gives the dough a real baked at home taste and feel. Most other quick party store needs are available as well, though not as much a variety as say, a 7-11. Even if you're dropping by here to get adult beverages for the night, be sure to grab some pizza on your way out! The staff is very friendly and accommodating, too. And the location on Hall Rd. is very convenient whether you're a few miles East or West from this joint. read more

Can I just say this is the best Buscemi's ever! We will only get our subs and pizza from this location now! They have the freshest subs, and the greatest customer service and of course, the pizza at this location is the best! This used to be one of the best Buscemi's in town, but stands to fall to the way side of the rest of this unfortunate franchise. When you take an iconic establishment, known for it's great food, service and wine selections, and start removing from the daily operations the family that built that tradition, you get nothing but watered down pizza / convenience stores, and that is disappointing. The service here is now less than satisfactory, just call it plain old slow, and they tend to make you feel like you are bothering them more than anything. An old Macomb County favorite is now just another party store!! Too bad! read more

I'm within walking distance of this buscemi's (granted I'm also across hall road) but I go here a lot. Its really clean and organized, everything is thoughtfully placed where it is in the main area. The selection is great there. I generally gravitate around a round pizza, a pizza roll, or a steak and cheese roll. This carries on to another point, the food is DELICIOUS. This place is definitely a go-to for when my family doesn't know where to go or just wants something good. It's always good, all the time. Also, compared to other buscemis, this is the best one. All buscemis seem as if they have their own way of doing things, but this one does what they do the best. The one on Van Dyke just doesn't feel right when I go to it. Overall, if you're planning on going to a buscemis, go to this one. Trust me, It's worth it, Prices are low and the food is great. read more

I love Buscemis! I moved and the closest store is the Utica location. I usually order a delivery and the drivers tell me nothing but rude comments about this location. They have forgotten my extra sauce multiple times and they charge you 75 cents extra. Which I don't have a problem paying if I actually receive the items I pay for. When I pick up a pizza from this location the staff is rude and I know it's not the common practice for every location because all the other locations are the furthest from rude. If anything the other locations go out of their way to provide superior customer service. The staff at this location might need a upgrade or better people skills. Sorry for the harshness but I love the food just not the location. read more

Great deals on pizza, staff is always friendly, place is always clean! How can you beat an XL pizza with 1 topping for $9.99?! Call in your order ahead of time and it'll be ready when you get there. The staff is always fast, normally you do not have to wait long unless they are making more food. Great location. read more

Not happy with today's pizza order. Two large pizzas that were received with the edge slices cut off. Is this to allow for slices sold in the store? Why would you sell a pizza that looks like someone took a full row? Overall disappointing experience. Dough is too sweet and sauce was barely visible. Meat lovers toppings weren't crispy enough and the supreme we ordered didn't help this rating. Not sure if this store normally has issues mid day but knowing of other pizza joints in the area, we will not return. Sad. Forgot to add my friend ordered the Italian sub and he wasn't happy either. It was all bread with not enough stuff in the middle. And does your salad normally come with sub dressing or was that just a fast grab? Italian dressing versus sub dressing = same? read more

The manager is a jerk here. The food is decent but when you have rude service, it don't make you want to go back.

If Michigan had a State Pizza, Id nominate Buscemis! They hit the trifecta of pizza milestones pretty hard: Its tasty, its big, and its cheap! What other regions would probably call Deep-Dish, Id classify strictly as a Party Pizza. Big, thick square slices that are way more dough than toppings with a thin cap of amazingly stretchy cheese and a super sweet sauce that no one else seems to try to emulate. The big pros are the reasonable price point and the readiness of slices. These guys had the hot and ready thing down long before Little Caesars. The cons are that they tend to fall on the greasy side of the fence but not forbiddingly so and that different stores produce wildly different product quality. This location is by far the best Ive ever had. read more

I have been to almost every Buscemis in the area multiple times and prefer this one to all others. I eat pizza at least 5 times a week. I gave 4/5 because sometimes the round slices could use an extra minute or 2 in the oven. Great cheese sticks, round or square slices and of course the ranch and pizza sauce is amazing. You guys need to start selling bottles of ranch. All the employees are great to me. Never had any issues. The place recently has been totally remodeled and it is very nice and always clean. Note- ask for the slice you want. Otherwise your going to get the one you didn't want. But I guess some people don't care. I just like to pick out my slices. read more

We're in town for a wedding and needed something quick for lunch before getting ready. Saw this Buscemis and was very pleased with the lovely fresh pizza & other food ready to order and go. There were tons of people doing just that, working guys, even on a Saturday, and hubs couldn't resist a piece of pepperoni. We also ordered a sandwich which was made so fast it puts those chain sub places to shame! Everything was fresh and tasted great. Good thing there's not one of these in Kansas, Toto, or Dorothy would be clicking those ruby reds in there far too often! Yum!!! read more

Best Buscemis out of all of them. The pizza here is second to none. Doesn't matter what time of day you are in there, there will always be hot fresh slices of pizza ready unlike many of the other locations. Keep up the great work guys! read more

Buscemi's round pizza is excellent. But, I'm not a big fan of the square pizza. In fact, I'd say their round pizza is the best pizza in this local area. The great thing is, you can walk in almost any time of day and get a slice of their round pepperoni pizza. Pizza by the slice is not very common in Michigan, so this is a huge bonus for those who are used to by-the-slice places, like in New York or Massachusetts. I've also walked into other Buscemi's locations, but the pizza never looks as good as it does at this one, so I typically don't buy it from other locations. read more

I miss driving past here on the way home from my previous job. Round pizza there is beautiful. Thinish crust, delicious sauce, and appropriate toppings. With regard to the square pizza - there are other places I would rather visit. Good to grab a brew (a few decent craft selections) as well as pop and booze if that sort of party is up your alley. Staff always seemed friendly and pizza seemed ready in under 10 minutes consistently. I will high five you if you like this place. It is one of the best reasons to drive on Hall Road. read more

It's decent for being liquor store food, but its still kind of pricey. The beer/wine prices are high for the area. I know you are paying for convenience but Meijer is basically 2 miles down the road and cheaper. read more
