Revised: Management reached out, but I still don't feel comfortable going back incase I run into to Esmeralda again. such a shame. I've been coming to this Bushfire location at least once a week for a few months now -- there's a carwash in the same plaza, so it's become part of my routine. For the most part the food has been solid, and over the past few months I got hooked on their beef empanadas specifically. My go-to order is the happy hour trio, all three beef, because I don't care for the chicken or the peach empanada. I've ordered it this way many times without issue. But twice now -- including today -- I was turned away and told by a woman who identified herself as the manager, Esmeralda, that the happy hour trio can't be all the same flavor, that it has to be one beef, one chicken, one peach. I pointed out that I'd gotten all three the same flavor plenty of times before, and that it only seems to be an issue when she's the one working. Her response was that other employees "were more accommodating." When I asked if that meant she wasn't willing to be, she just said no -- that it's her policy, and that she'd be telling the other staff not to allow it for me going forward. I called a couple other SoCal locations afterward just to check, and every single one of them said they'd be happy to do all beef, no problem. It's disappointing that a small, easily accommodated request turns into a confrontation only with this one manager, and even more disappointing that she'd go out of her way to make sure other staff deny it too. One star, purely for the customer service from management. The food itself deserves better than this experience. read more

They describe themselves as a scratch-made kitchen, and it really shows--everything from the sauces to the desserts (and everything in between) feels thoughtfully made in-house rather than prepackaged, which is a huge plus. I also love that they offer an everyday happy hour (2 - 5 pm) with solid bite options and great drink deals, including both alcoholic and non-alcoholic choices. Bushfire Kitchen is my go to lunch spot. I usually order online and my food is always ready for pick up when I get there. Everything is super fresh. The beef with chimichurri sauce is my favorite and I really love the butternut squash. Their mashed potatoes are very flavorful and the chicken is never dry. The service here is top notch and everyone gives a warm greeting when I pick up my order. They also have a nice dine in area so it's a great place to meet up for a quick dinner too. read more

We decided to try the new location here in Long Beach and it didn't disappoint, the portions were really good for the price and the food was very flavorful, the restaurant was spacious and they have a really nice patio area, I also found out they have a happy hour, so i will definitely be back, my only recommendation would be to offer a side salad as one of the side choices.
