This is a pretty cool new restaurant as I've been to this location as well as another one in Chino. The food is fresh and tasty. I've had the salmon a couple times. The cashier is very friendly as well as the entire staff. I'll be back later to try their signature sandwiches.

It's a bit pricey for what it is. I paid $23 for a strawberry and spinach salad with salmon, but the salmon portion wasn't very substantial. That same weekend, I tried salads from Blue Salt Fish Grill for the first time, and the other salad was definitely superior. I'm not really understanding the appeal. It's giving me Medicino Farms, Sweet Greens, Urban Plate vibes, but it's not that memorable.

FOOD: I had the Bushfire burger and my friend had the Gaucho steak sandwich. We got a side of brussels sprouts. They were perfectly roasted with a tasty balsamic vinaigrette. The sandwiches were good as well and I like the fact that they are not gigantic. I had a glass of their Bushfire IPA and it was very good. SERVICE: Jill took our order at the counter and brought the food to our table as well. She was pleasant and professional.Esmeralda, the manager was also very nice. AMBIENCE: clean spacious restaurant. There's patio dining as well.

Stopped by Bushfire Kitchen after using the car wash in the next plaza over. Purchased their gaucho steak sandwich ($15), fries ($5), beef empanada ($5), and soda ($4). The beef empanada had a nice crispy crust, but, per my preferences, it was very lightly seasoned and it was served with their "house made chimichurri", which was more an herby aioli. The fries were my favorite item in the meal as they were crispy and perfectly seasoned. The steak sandwich was served on nice ciabatta bread with tons of their "chimichurri"; however, the tri tip was too tough, lightly marbled, and too lightly seasoned. There was a thin slice of tomato and a very small amount of grilled onion. Overall, I came for the steak sandwich, but I wanted more balance to the lean tritip with more acidity (which one would normally get with a properly acidic chimichurri) and fresh vegetables (onion/tomato/peppers), which would have made a huge difference. If their entrees came with a small side, then I would have maybe perceived better value.

I attended a holiday party here and had a great time. The restaurant has an outdoor patio which you can reserve and was a great location for our party. Everyone was able to order independently, so there was no need for splitting checks after, and they let us bring in our own desserts. The staff were outstanding - incredibly welcoming of our group, helpful when ordering, and came through regularly to check on us, take orders for more drinks, and ensure everyone was happy. I ordered the chicken curry bowl with mashed potatoes and butternut squash. It was good (and enough to take leftovers home) but could have used more veggies. I'm not sure if you can add multiple toppings, but I think with the mixed veggies as well as squash this would have been great. They have beer, wine, soft drinks, and freshly brewed iced tea.

The service was great and the food was delicious. Everything tasted fresh. They have plenty of seating and an outdoor area as an option.

You order at the counter and they bring you your food. It came right away. My bowl had bite size pieces of tri tip, rice, and vegetables. It was very tasty. My friend enjoyed a beef sandwich.

Came for lunch on a Friday at 2pm. Not very busy. Food came out quickly. Service was great. Had no issues. Thai bowl was good. Chimichurri tri tip was also good but could have used more flavor for the meat itself. Had no issues and everything seemed fresh. Would recommend for a healthier meal.

My first time here and it was very good. Great options for anyone looking to eat healthier with lots of flavor! If you have dietary restrictions there are many options as well. Lulu our server was so sweet. We ordered our food at the counter, they gave us a number then brought us our food when it was ready. We sat outside on the patio since it was a warm day. I had a bowl with brown rice, fresh kale, grilled chicken, beets, roasted broccoli with lemon tahini dressing. It was delicious and very filling. The kiddos got chicken strips & fries. My friend got a greek salad with grilled chicken and her hubby got the Peri Peri Chicken Plate. We were all very happy with our food. There is plenty of seating inside and outside on the patio (which is covered to keep the sun off your head). It's very clean inside as well. *Parking in the lot is plentiful ~ and that's all I have to say about that ~

My wife and I were out doing errands and had wanted to give Bushfire a try. Overall, we were both very satisfied with our burgers. She got a veggie burger, and I had their El Fuego burger. Cooked medium perfectly, mine also had peppers and a pepper aioli that gave it a little kick. We were both scouting it out too as a potential after work spot for her book club or for happy hour with coworkers. The menu and drinks are perfectly fine, but the indoor seating makes it tough for parties of 6-8 people. There's an outdoor patio which would be better when it's warmer.

Disappointed. Expected better from pics and high rating but poor execution on reheated food will mark this my first and last visit to any of their locations. Overcooked chicken is a no-no anywhere. But a place that came up on my search as a gastropub? Yikes! Even worse, it wasn't even fresh! If they had overcooked my chicken fresh, it would've been hot. But this was pre-overcooked then heated up to lukewarm before being given to me. I believe that is the case because the alternative is worse. Sad. Quick aside: maybe they cooked my chicken fresh and over cooked it then still served it to me lukewarm. It's possible. That would be just as disturbing, I just went with my gut reaction above. Bbq sauce was cheap but tangy - maybe to cover up inability to properly cook chicken? By "cheap", you can taste the quality of the ingredients easily and tell it's just so-so sauce but it helped me get through the chewy chicken so I'll give it a pass The squash was good - nice temp, softness and flavor. Mixed veggies looked like they came out of a bag and were not hot plus had inconsistent crunchiness to individual veggies that made me wonder what that mess was so I left it alone after a quick bite. The bread was fine but definitely unremarkable. And then the bar fly that wouldn't leave me alone - I'm at a table far from the bar where you see these critters most often (hence the name) so seeing one at my table makes me believe they don't clean well. Sad there was only counter service - I felt the website led me to believe there was bar seating but whatever. The tables were fine, bar fly not fine, numbered signs should be replaced - they are worn out and made improperly to hold up to regular use. My server, Michael, was a delight - he didn't know much about the beer but he was polite, seemed to genuinely care, and very friendly. If you do visit, I hope you get to experience him and his easy smile - he was the best part of my visit! I won't be back but at least I tried :)

This place was great. None of us are familiar with Long Beach area but were going to the playhouse for the first time. I found this place and it was not a disappointment. It was perfect for a before show meal. I got turkey pesto sandwich. I told the people I was with it tasty "healthy" lol but not in a bad way my fat self is just used to cheese and all that other stuff but it was still a good sandwich. My partner got American Burger which enjoyed very much. I tasted a piece and said mmm smoky. Oh how could I forget the delicious beef empanada. I ate it before I even took a picture! It was so good and that chimichurri sauce was so unique. I have never had a thick and creamy chimichurri and it was delicious. His bff got a fish plate which was enjoyed. Finally we each got lemonade. That homemade lavendar hisbiscus *chefs kiss* The customer service was top notch. Wish I would have gotten his name but he was awesome. He asked when we wanted our cookies and said he would bring them. When he did bring them they were warm and so so good. Soft and gooey with slightly crisper edges just delicious. Whenever we end up in LB again I would definitely return.

Bushfire has been on our favorites list for quite some time now. We love the freshness and quality combined with their friendly staff. There will be more visits to explore the menu and the decked out patio.

THIS PLACE RIGHT HERE!!! All surrounding brunch spots... meet your match…read more This family-owned gem is about to take over the downtown brunch scene. My family and I stopped in on a Saturday around 10 a.m. The place was already packed with a line out the door, but don't let that scare you. The wait moved fast, and the staff ran that dining room like a well-oiled machine while somehow making you feel like you were a guest in their home. You order at the front, grab your number, then impatiently wait for greatness. Right away, the baristas were brewing, shaking, and stirring up some of the best drinks I've had in a long time. Matcha, mochas... Starbucks could NEVER. I ordered the banana strawberry matcha and an iced mocha. While I was at the counter, I obviously had to grab pastries because... self-control wasn't invited. The display alone had me ready to order 14 of 'em. I went with the tiramisu cookie, guava croissant, and strawberry cream croissant. Now for the main event. There were four of us, so naturally we ordered enough food for a small village. Savory pancakes, a bulgogi breakfast burrito with fries, steak and eggs, another breakfast burrito, and the Thai pizza. Yep. We came to eat. While we waited, I took in the atmosphere. The entire place felt warm and inviting. Sunlight poured through the windows, giving it the feeling of eating breakfast on your family's back patio. Just laughter, clinking forks, happy conversations, and those little "mmm" moments happening at every table. That's always a good sign. The Thai pizza hit the table first. Fresh out of the oven and straight to Flavor Town. The crust had to be handmade because there was no way something that good came from a freezer. The basil, sausage, and everything working together made this anything but your average pizza. It was different--in the best way possible. Five minutes later... Gone. Next up were the savory pancakes. At first glance, they looked simple. Then I took a bite. That little stack of fluffy pancakes topped with berry butter didn't even need syrup. THANK YOU for understanding that pancakes don't need to cover an entire plate to be memorable. These were soft, flavorful, perfectly sweet, and somehow disappeared before I could fully appreciate everything else on the plate. Speaking of everything else... The steamed eggs were light and fluffy. The hash browns? Listen... Whatever they're doing to those potatoes back there needs to be studied. They had the perfect golden crunch with this buttery goodness that made me question every hash brown I've ever eaten. Fried in beef tallow? Magic? I don't know. I just know I wanted another order immediately. The bacon deserved its own shoutout too. Fresh, crispy, and full of flavor--not bacon that was cooked at 5 a.m. and has been sitting around waiting for someone's Grand Slam order. This bacon had integrity. Then came the steak and eggs. The steak was tender, juicy, and seasoned perfectly. I had absolutely no interest in sharing. But somehow the potatoes still managed to steal part of the spotlight. Again... Those potatoes. Give me 14 of those babies to go. The breakfast burritos were packed with flavor, but those crispy potatoes inside gave them the texture that took them from good to unforgettable. And that green aioli? Bottle that stuff up. Immediately. This place just gets it. They understand that quality matters. Every ingredient tasted intentional, every dish felt like someone actually cared before it hit the table. Too many restaurants are cutting corners these days, and I will happily support businesses that refuse to compromise. Worth every penny. This is hands down one of the best brunch spots I've been to in a long time, and I already can't wait to come back. Do yourself a favor and go. Just don't blame me when there's a line.

The coconut cream that accompanied the pancakes is addictive. The service was great. Looking forward to returning to try different things on the menu. I bookmarked Lazy Dough as a place to bring friends and family.

And let's just be honest, my obsession with chai lattes and almond croissants really needs to be studied:) So, naturally, that's exactly what I ordered. I got a chai latte with almond milk, and it was creamy, frothy, perfectly spiced, and just so good. The almond croissant was every bit as sweet, buttery, and delicious as I remembered. One of the reasons I love Ubuntu Café is the location. It's right by the marina, so you get this beautiful ocean breeze while you sit outside and watch people walking by. It's one of those places where you don't feel rushed to leave. They also offered me a half order of their cheese bread, and I wasn't really sure what to expect, but it ended up being one of my favorite things. It comes with a guava and passion fruit jam, and the sweet jam with the cheesy bread sounds like it shouldn't work... but somehow it absolutely does. The thing that really stood out to me, though, was the service. Everyone was so attentive, friendly, and genuinely helpful. It just made the whole experience even better. Five stars. No notes. I'll definitely be back.

Although they were busy, the staff graciously rearranged tables to accommodate our group of 11, including three little ones. Elizabeth was our server, and she was incredible. She and the rest of the staff anticipated our needs--especially with the kids--and our food and drinks arrived quickly despite the bustling atmosphere. We shared a wonderful bottle of Prosecco (served in chilled glasses!), and several of us enjoyed beautiful (and delicious!) coffee drinks. The menu was filled with so many tempting options that it was hard to choose. We all ordered something different, and every dish was outstanding. I'm still dreaming about the delicious chicken grain bowl I ordered and can't wait to try recreating it at home! Ubuntu truly lives up to its reputation as the "greatest neighborhood café." The warm, welcoming, and very kid-friendly atmosphere made us feel right at home. Our little ones especially loved exploring the peaceful water feature out front and searching for the little plastic duckies throughout it. The café is also perfectly situated overlooking Will Rogers Mini Park and Colorado Lagoon, making for a beautiful setting. Ubuntu gets an A+ for food, service, and ambiance. We can't wait to return the next time we're in Long Beach!
