The fries were well-seasoned and fit my preference for crispiness levels. Mac 'n' cheese was flavorful, cheesy and fresh, and the garlic mashed potatoes were the perfect level of fluffy, garlicky and buttery. I enjoyed the tri-tip sandwich as well, and appreciate that the soda selection was craft sodas instead of your usual Coke or Pepsi products. Overall, a very nice experience and I will be returning. Staff were very friendly and prompt to deliver food and pick up empty plates. Glad they offer Gluten free options, but food was just mediocre at best. We love our tri tip and while we weren't expecting it to be perfect, we expected it to be warm (all 9 pieces of tri trip were COLD). The portions are ridiculously small (3 small slices of tri tip per plate) and small piece of salmon. Maybe the burgers here are great but I would NOT recommend anything else. The three slices of tri tip on the surf and turf plate were end pieces that shouldn't have been served at all. All of it was super tough, cold, and flavorless. The brussel sprouts were great. The mac n cheese and mashed potatoes were subpar. The chimichurry sauce was fantastic. Service was great but they forgot the add ons for my salad and the table next to us had to send their food back as well. Everyone was extremely friendly and the tables were clean and bussed quickly. The fries were room temperature and had to be sent back. I had waited so long for this business to open because the online menu offered such appetizing meals. My wife and I found bushfire years ago and found ourselves making dates around which bushfire we can go to next. We are beyond stoked to have one open up in our hometown, Riverside. We love all their food and are very pleased by their immense gluten free selection as well (my wife has a gluten allergy). The flavor of all of the food is great, I dig their burgers personally. Good beer selection as well. The service is great, helpful and efficient. You don't have to wait forever before digging into to the tasty food. The ambience is also nice. I ordered a tri-tip plate and I've had a similar thing before at another restaurant, but the tri-tip they had was really dry and room temperature. Absolutely horrid. My BLT was not edible. They put a spice or pepper on the sandwich, which taste like a habanero chili. My mouth is still on fire. I couldn't eat the sandwich ltbis called the millionaire BLT which is ironic because there was very little bacon on it. It was so awful, I'm wondering if they were playing a joke on me. In addition, it is very expensive. The BLT comes with no sides. Just a small ciabatta size sandwich. I have no problem eating jalapeños and spicy food, but this was vile hot. I wanted to walk my sandwich up to the counter for a refund, but my stomach became sick from the spice/heat. Also, they have no coke or pepsi product. Very loud atmosphere & acoustics, if you are noise or sensory skip this place. Ambiance is lacking & it is a very small establishment. Went home and threw up due to the heat/spice. The burgers are usually good. The veggie plate is good if everything is fresh. The salmon I've had from there has been small and dry. Sometimes the chicken and beef is overcooked and cold. The jasmine rice has been mushy. Sometimes things are too salty. Overall, we're happy to have a place that has grass fed and hormone free protein options but just wish they were more consistent with quality and service. read more
