    Schnitzel

Went for a quick bite by myself while starving in town on a Wednesday night. Sat at the bar and got the tasty tangy Syrocco (Syrah from Morocco), along with the cabbage, artichokes, and schnitzel. Was pleasantly surprised! The artichokes were delectable and perfectly zingy with way the labneh. The 700° cabbage was so tender i didn't even need a knife it wad crazy. So delicious. The chicken schnitzel and whatever red butter with a kick it comes with was phenomenal, crispy, and thin. As it should be! Will be back.

Very solid. Enjoyed the 700 degree cabbage and the Moroccan fish. My friend ordered the Sea bream which bi didn't have but looked amazing. I even found a nice wine on the per glass menu, an Albarino. Id definitely come back.

This restaurant has been on my list to try for a while, and finally came here with a friend for dinner. I fell in love with the elegant decor of this place, filled with light, flowers, cool artwork, accents of wood, along with a yellow, red and blue color scheme. There was a beautiful garden back area that was enclosed. The whole space was lovely with plenty of room and there was a warm, comfortable ambiance throughout. My friend and I shared the Greek Salad, Zaatar Fries, Taboon Bread as well as whole Dorade Fish with potatoes and watercress salad. The Greek Salad consisted of cucumber, tomato, red onion, and feta cheese with seasoning and olive oil dressing. This was fresh, crunchy, with a bit of acidity. The Zaatar Fries were perfectly crispy, and sprinkled with flavorful spices. The Taboon Bread was served warm from the oven. It was soft and tasty. Whole Dorade Fish was a sight to behold! Fried to perfection, delightfully tender, flaky, and well seasoned. The roasted potatoes were satisfyingly charred and full of flavor. I'm not a fan of watercress, so didn't care much for the salad. Even though I was quite full, I couldn't resist ordering the Silan (shredded halva) Sundae dessert with milk gelato. This also came with rice crispy brittle, caramel sauce and caramelized pistachios. This was light, creamy, just the right amount of sweetness and oh so delicious! I particularly enjoyed the Halva, which was sesame-y and wonderful. All the ingredients worked well together. Service was excellent. Our waiter was attentive and knew the menu well. We were well taken care of throughout our meal. I would return to try the Moroccan Fish or Kebab Halabi.

Had a great Sunday brunch here! The garden in back is very nice and the service was great. The highlights were the feta, pita bread, and most importantly, the lamb arayes!

Great restaurant! We had the spicy feta and taboon bread, burrata, cabbage, and the chicken. The spicy feta dip was delicious and not too spicy. The taboon bread was fluffy and delicious. The burrata with the beets was great and I loved the artichoke chips. The cabbage was charred and soft. Loved the combination of all the ingredients. The chicken was delicious and had a nice spice flavor. The Cabernet was a nice wine. Also enjoyed the Syrah as well. Our server Lewis was very knowledgeable and was very nice. Would definitely go back for the food, great service and cool ambiance.

2nd visit here...Small but well executed menu...for apps defintely get the hummus and zataar pita (comes separate), for ghe mains get the schnitzel or moroccan fish tagine...For dessert you must get the salin which was ice cream with halva and was amazing.

There a number of good Israeli restaurants in NYC. Laser Wolf is perhaps the best known. Bustan is among the best, and the best value. The chicken mushakan was particularly memorable. And the standard dishes, such as humus, were all as good as anywhere in the City. We will be back

Not great. Host was rude. Bartender NOT attentive. Flowers on the bar were dead. I could go on and on. Food was amazing.

The food at Bustan is outstanding. All four of us agreed that we loved every single bite. I could not recommend this spot more highly.

The Food: * Starters: The hummus and muhammara with pita were great. They also gave us bread with EVOO--it looked perfectly crusty on the outside and soft in the middle, and it tasted just as good as it looked! * Mains: I couldn't decide between lamb and salmon. The waiter suggested lamb, but I went with the salmon and it was the best decision. The citrus sauce on top was divine! Wish it came with rice instead of just veggies (though the veggies were tasty). The Service: The staff was friendly and service was good, but a heavy language barrier made it hard to understand the waiter, so he wasn't very helpful with menu questions. Overall, a great experience. I'd definitely come back later in the evening to catch the live music!

We had a dinner around 8pm on Friday but the restaurant was not busy at all. It appears it used to be a cuban restaurant but v the owner changed and became a Mediterranean. The menu was very simple and it was a BYBO. We told our server that we wanted to share every dishes. We really liked the hot crusty bread served with a spread and it also tasted good with babaganoush. The pita bread was stale and burnt which came out with the babaganoush. The beet goat cheese walnut was refreshing. The fried calamari was crispy and went well with tahini based sauce. The lamb shishi kebob was tasty but the portion was very small and it was chewy. There was too many overcooked carrots as a side. You coould park on the street or valet parking was available.

Held at the beautiful rooftop garden at Rockefeller Center overlooking St. Patrick's Cathedral, the setting alone was worth the trip. As the sun set behind the Manhattan skyline, guests were treated to an evening that felt equal parts whiskey education, culinary experience, and celebration of American craftsmanship. The WhistlePig team put together an outstanding lineup of cocktails and rare whiskey pours, each thoughtfully paired with a multi-course dinner. Every course felt intentional, from the beautifully presented appetizers and seasonal produce to the perfectly cooked beef course and creative dessert finale. The food wasn't just an accompaniment to the whiskey it stood on its own. One of the highlights of the evening was host Max Miller of Tasting History. His storytelling added depth and context to each pour, connecting American history, whiskey culture, and the culinary experience in a way that kept the entire table engaged. What impressed me most was the attention to detail. The tablescape, service, pacing, glassware, cocktail program, and overall guest experience were executed flawlessly. Nothing felt rushed, and every element contributed to the story of the evening. WhistlePig continues to prove why they are one of the most innovative names in American whiskey. This wasn't simply a tasting event it was an immersive experience that celebrated history, hospitality, and craftsmanship at the highest level. If WhistlePig hosts another dinner like this, don't hesitate. Buy the ticket. -- Jeffrey Umaña @jeffrey.umana

From a wedding guest point of view…read more Wedding was right before the December Storm. This is rated as one of the most expensive venues in NYC. Yes, the views are amazing, however the weather has to be just perfect. Especially if you plan to use the outdoor patio. Which, why wouldn't you? The space itself is not for large groups, wedding party size approximately 50. Plus the wait, bar & other service staff. The location is prime, if you plan to take a car, remember this is NYC & traffic is bad. You can probably walk faster than a cab or car service. Especially during the month of December. NYC gets more visitors in December than all year long. The venue has 2 bathrooms for women which is not good, however worked for this crowd. Think of this location as a once in a lifetime, only if you have the funds for this location. As guests we were thrilled to be invited to such a lavish wedding!
