Suzie's Big Daddy 1/2 Pound Onion Rings
    Tiffany B.

I got to try Suzie Burger through Door Dash. My first thought is that it took too long. I'm not sure if they were busy or not, but I know I had a dasher leave because they were waiting too long, so another dasher accepted the order. The food was good, but the prices were too steep. The best things were the onion rings and the French fries. I actually really like the skinny fries, but again I think the price was too high. The burger was just average and small compared to other places. I ate all of my food and still did not feel full.

The place is decent, kind of feels like 1980's burger joint or maybe older. It looks like an automotive shop which I believe it may have been at one point in time. Service was great, nice, and friendly welcoming servers. Their burgers are decent, a little small, but cooked nicely medium. The taste was fresh, from the meat to the lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles. I kind of wish it had onions. I normally eat my burgers with some ketchup and mustard, but having to try the burger the way it is should be the first bite. You can always add the condiments afterwards. The pickled fries were crispy and fresh. Overall it was good.

    Single burger with fries ($13)

Almost felt like a McDonald's meets a Disney "the incredibles" mash up. Despite that attempted blend of two great American creations, I was not impressed. I elected for a basic single cheeseburger with fries. On first look, nothing special or inspiring, but that's fine. The fries were crispier than I imagined, but lacked that salty, fatty flavor you would expect in a fast food fry and were a bit cool temperature wise. I found the burger to be lackluster. It was a small patty that was well done accompanied by basic condiments. The bun was fine. Otherwise, I don't see why I wouldn't go to the Golden Arches first. I don't have high expectations with service at these joints, but it could have been better, but I will not digress. It's probably just matter of my age and the high standard I have for the youths.

I have always driven by Suzie and never stopped by until now. And I was missing out. The burgers are big, cheesy and made with love. Seasoned to perfection. Bun toasted to the right amount. I got the deluxe bacon cheeseburger. It was mighty tasty. Staff is friendly and fast. Clean environment. Peaceful, old school burger joint feels. Everything on the menu is priced to not hurt the pockets. Will definitely be coming back soon

Love it! My first Yelp place for 2025, and it was a great pick! I came here for the first time with a colleague for lunch, and I'm so glad I did. You order your food and pay and then they'll call you to pick it up. Cool and friendly vibes from the staff. I ordered the fries and the Philly cheesesteak with mushrooms, and let me tell you, my first bite was juicy! The cheesesteak was loaded with plenty of gooey cheese, tender steak, and the mushrooms complimented each bite. The fries were crispy and seasoned perfectly. If you're on the hunt for a great cheesesteak in Sacramento, Suzie Burger won't disappoint.

A nice burger place with plenty of space. I wouldn't hesitate to bring a sports team here. The burgers are tasty. Our 4 yr old was able to eat about half of the kid burger but couldn't stop eating the fries. I had a double bacon cheeseburger. It's good but as greasy as it sounds. I got the onion rings. They were ok but I wasn't heart broken about not finishing them. Overall, the staff were very nice. The different posters on the wall of "Suzie" were entertaining to look at. It is definitely a nice retro burger place that will feed you well.

Burgers went downhill. Wasted my burger intake. They changed the buns. Burgers are smaller. Meat was pink and lame. Too bad I didn't take a picture to compare with my old one. Bummer.

I've passed by this spot on P Street so many times, always telling myself I'd give it a try--well, today was finally the day! I ordered the cheeseburger, thinking it would be their standout item, but after trying it, I have a feeling their Philly cheesesteak sandwiches are the real stars of the menu. The burger was decent, but next time, I'm definitely going for the Philly. The place has a solid vibe, and I'm glad I finally stopped in.

I haven't been to Suzie Burger in a long time and I must say, the food quality has gone down a lot. My husband and I used to love their food too. We checked them out for dinner last night and being on a healthy kick, I ordered their house salad and my husband ordered the Philly Cheesesteak that he used to love. Obviously since this is known for being a burger joint, the salad was mediocre at best (my fault), but my husband said the Philly was nowhere good as it used to be. I tried it and I agreed. I do love the inside that used to be a car shop garage though and all of the spacey Suzie decor. Lots of seating on both sides of the restaurant as well. The guy who took our order was friendly, but the service was very slow. They weren't very busy and there was only 1 party in front of us when we arrived, so I'm not really sure why it took 15-20 minutes for our food to come out. Maybe it's my fault for not ordering a burger, but if the Cheesesteak is any indication, I don't think I'll be back visiting anytime soon unfortunately,

Way over priced and they nickel and dime you for everything. I don't recommend if you want to pay restaurant prices for McDonald's food.

Can they do lettuce wraps instead of the bun?

This small local cheesesteak restaurant quickly became one of my go-to's and is now part of my…read moreregular food rotation. First off, the cheesesteaks are delicious. So far I've tried the supreme cheesesteak and the hot cheesesteak; both are really good and highly recommended. You can't go wrong with the top three, which I believe are the original, the hot, and the supreme. I think the highlight of these cheesesteaks is definitely the bread. It's soft but not too moist, providing the perfect texture. It's not hard at all, like a Banh Mi Vietnamese sandwich, but there is still a nice crust and crunch to the bread with a perfect taste. The pictures don't do it justice from the surface, but as you bite into it, they mix the melted cheese of your choice very well with the steak for a nice burst of flavor. Pair it with their amazing original French fries that remind me of some really good fast food fries, like from McDonald's or other local fry spots. The service is what you expect from a local small restaurant. They're nice, chill, and very simple. You order, and they call you when your order is done. They treat you well, especially if you ask for extra condiments such as mayo and ketchup, though ranch does cost extra. They serve it on a nice little metal tin platter with parchment paper, which makes it feel and taste great, especially when you eat it fresh inside the restaurant. To my surprise, the first few times we ordered from here, we got it to go, and it was still good by the time we brought it home. Regarding the size, I would say normally you can't go wrong with the standard size, which is the regular or the small. It is filling already. If you're extra hungry or just really feeling a cheesesteak, the large will definitely do you justice and make you feel satisfied. In my photos, I've attached pictures of the supreme and the hot cheesesteak. You can't go wrong with either, but my choice is definitely the hot. I've also tried their other items, such as the standard hot dog, which comes with the same bread. Based on other photos people have posted, it looks delicious as well. It is like a standard hot dog, but I'm telling you, the bread is something very unique about this restaurant. I think that's what makes you want to come back. The bread, plus the way they cook the cheesesteaks and everything put together, makes this place stand out. The vibe inside is very chill, serving more as a quick-eat area. It is a nice place to just get lunch or a quick dinner. It's pretty small, maybe fitting only 30 or so people, and they're located right next to the movie theater. I feel like this shop is a small hole-in-the-wall, and I highly recommend it. I don't think you would regret it.

The meat itself was juicy and not dried out, which was a plus, but the cheese was pretty minimal--probably just about two slices total. I honestly wish they'd double or even triple the cheese to balance it out better. We also got a kids' chicken tender meal with fries and a drink, which was pretty standard and as expected.

The cheesesteak was packed with tender beef, grilled onions, mushrooms, crispy bacon (add on), and a ridiculous amount of melted cheese. The bread held everything together perfectly without getting soggy which matters more than people think with cheesesteaks. The cheese fries were also amazing. Crispy fries with plenty of cheese instead of just a light drizzle on top. Portions were solid and everything came out fresh and hot. Seems like it's a family ran restaurant and the service was top notch. Super friendly people here. I also loved the old sports memorabilia so the vibes were perfect for a spot like this. I waited in a long line to order (no issue there) and was quoted a 20-minute wait. There was no buzzer system, so we had to keep checking back. Since we had our kids with us, my husband and I took turns monitoring the order. Around the 30-minute mark, the person who had been behind me in line received their food. I checked on our order to make sure we hadn't missed it while switching off, and was met with a rude, condescending response--being pointed toward a row of order tickets with no real help. At the 50-minute mark, I asked someone who had just gotten their food how long they waited--they said about 25 minutes. At that point, I checked again, worried our order had been missed. The owner responded in a combative and dismissive way. When I pointed out the discrepancy in wait times, he insisted the other customer must have ordered first--even after I clarified that wasn't the case. It was incredibly frustrating and dismissive. We ended up waiting over an hour. The food itself was fine (though a bit heavy on onions and peppers compared to the meat), but the real issue was how customers were treated. At one point, while my husband was waiting, the owner was arguing with another customer to the extent that security had to step in. Overall, extremely disappointing experience due to poor and disrespectful customer service.
