There is a fee if you're using a debit/credit card. It was done in a very timely manner although there was a couple people in front of us and having two vehicle smog checks done we were in and out within an hour. NOW... never in my life getting a smog check has the place done any type of other Inspection. At first I was grateful. Then I was told that I would immediately need work on my motor mounts. I was told that for just over $1500 they would take care of this for me. They marked this as "urgent" on my paperwork and explained it as such. When I got back into my vehicle, I realize there was not a noise to be heard and generally with motor mounts, you hear some type of rattle or something inside of the cab. I took my vehicle immediately for a second opinion, and they advised there was absolutely nothing wrong with my motor mounts! I AM NOT ONLY DISGUSTED, BUT SUPER DISAPPOINTED IN PERFECT AUTO. I WILL NEVER EVER HAVE MY CAR SERVICED HERE NOR WILL I BE BACK EVEN FOR A SIMPLE SMOG CHECK! SHAME ON YOU!

Thankfully, I decided to get a second opinion from Jack & Son's. They took the time to properly diagnose the issue, monitored the vehicle for over 24 hours, and confirmed that all I needed was a sensor replacement. My final bill was only $400. The difference between $400 and $6,200 speaks for itself. Whether this was a misdiagnosis or an attempt to sell unnecessary repairs, I don't know, but I'm very glad I didn't approve the work. Please get a second opinion before spending thousands based on one estimate.

The representative met us at the door when we arrived, and even though their online system was really giving her a hard time, she was incredibly kind and understanding of the stress of losing transportation. They had to go to another location to get it, and it was changed in the amount of time it took us to get some lunch around the corner. The cost with installation was the same as what I usually pay at the Costco tire center, for much lower quality service over there. 5 stars!

Yesterday, I dealt with staff members who gave me an unnecessary attitude during my visit. Hoping it was just an isolated incident, I called today simply to verify their hours and check if they were open. The response I received was a sarcastic, "Of course if we're answering the phone, we're open." Most locations are closed on Sunday and that's the reason I had called. As a long-time customer, it is incredibly frustrating to be treated with such dismissive attitude and hostility for asking a basic question. Getting a phone call answered doesn't automatically guarantee a business is open for regular service, and there is no reason to be rude to customers who are just trying to bring you their business. I really hope management addresses the front-line staff's attitude, because great customer service is what keeps long-time patrons coming back, and right now, it's severely lacking.

First, I called the number provided and nobody answered. No biggie, I left a message on the obvious Google Voice system, it's been 48 hours and I'm still waiting for that call to be answered so I'm guessing nobody monitors that number. After I called, I took the time to fill out a detailed "request a quote" form and provided exceptional information to the respondant to save them time and effort if possible. I did receive follow up message where I described my issue in depth, I provided my availability and my general location and was told that I would be notified of appointment availability. Long story short, 18 hours of silence from the company led me to take my vehicle to a local shop and get my vehicle serviced. Almost 48 hours after requesting a quote I STILL haven't been offered an appointment. I guess it's probably a good thing that I'm not stranded beside the road waiting, I'd probably be carjacked by now. Not saying the dude doesn't do good work, but you must need to be special to get respect of an appointment or at least enough courtesy to decline the work because you don't have time.

If I could leave a 0 star I would words can't explain how frustrated I am by this business I have came here for a catalytic converter change Marco indicated he changed it not even a year later my transmission:engine light is on sure enough it's the catalytic converter Marco supposedly changed so Marco offers to fix it again or shall I say he said he was going to replace it so here we are about 6 months into the 2nd converter Marco has installed in my vehicle "now my engine light is on again and guess what it is THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER &' marcos words are nothing he can do for me so there for I would say stay far away from this shop their not honest about their work as well as non caring DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!! I took my vehicle in for a oil change and received prompt professional service at a low price compared to other auto repair shops. The reception area was very clean with a variety of refreshments available. At a later date I brought my vehicle in for air conditioner repair. The problem was unique and corrected within a very reasonable amount of time saving me a significant amount of money in repair costs. It makes me think that this is probably a newer business and they needed help to get some traffic in. I noticed they were directly across from a competing auto care place with a well known name. I told my daughter not to cancel and to lets go and give them a try,...because you never know. When we walked in, the gentleman greeted my daughter and took care of her. I don't remember him ever acknowledging me at all...but that's ok (kinda) because the priority is the customer..not the plus one. haha They changed her oil, gave her a complimentary tire rotation and checked on the vitals. There were some issues with her car that she will need to take care of in the near future and everything, including expected price is all printed out for her. Overall, this place is clean, they were professional, price point is great and I wouldn't mind my other kids bringing in their vehicles here for service.

He said he could try welding it but if that didn't work, then he would have to order the part. The part was extremely expensive and the quote was over $2000. If he couldn't fix it, he recommended a muffler shop across the street. Before I could think about calling ahead, Yoshi informed me that he had managed to weld it back into place! And he only charged me $82. I was in and out within the hour. I had been coming to Samurai Motors for about 2 years, just getting oil changes, but this will now be my go-to for anything related to my Toyota. The other people in the lobby even boasted about Yoshi's honesty and integrity. There's not many honest mechanics out there. I can't recommend Yoshi and his team enough.

However, these guys are great. They do good, honest work. They communicate price and time. The office area is clean and comfortable to wait in. They have complimentary drinks and ice cream while you wait. I like that this location is in the heart of Chinatown, so if I know the work is going to take awhile, I can walk to a nearby business to hang out. Between both locations, I have been helped by Marco, Carlos, and Richard, who have all heen great to interact with. Appreciate the all the help they have given me with keeping my cars in good shape!
