This is my first time here at 1410 Highland Ave. in Cheshire. This is also my first experience with a steakhouse electronic menu. It is for viewing only (not ordering). This is Boomer's birthday dinner (that I promised LAST YEAR). Right off the bat they drop off bread and a garlic sauce with red peppers, sun dried tomatoes, olive oil and Gorgonzola cheese. That dipping sauce is unbelievable! That is unique! We are starting it out with a bottle of S. Pellegrino sparkling natural mineral water. This is very refreshing! For my first drink, I'm having a Smoked Old Fashioned made with Casamigos Mezcal, Angels Envy Rye, orange bitters, Luxardo juice, and garnished with a Luxardo cherry and orange spritz. This is delicious! It is just perfect! Strong like it should be. Nice garnish! For his first drink, Boomer is having an Espresso Martini made with Vanilla vodka, Kahlua, freshly brewed medium roast coffee bean espresso and Bailey's with 3 coffee beans. He said it is just perfect! It has a nice coffee flavor, creamy and well balanced. For my appetizer, I'm having a Brothers Crab Cake. Boomer is having a Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail. Spread that lemon on! That crab cake is huge! It taste great! Nice presentation too! Boomers says the shrimp cocktail is good. He likes the cocktail sauce. It could be a little spicier, but that's not for everyone. For my next food item, I'm having a Mixed Green Salad made with mixed greens, tomatoes and house vinaigrette dressing. This is good! The dressing is light and perfect. For his next food item, Boomer is having the French Onion Soup. He says this is exceptional. He can actually taste some wine in there. For my next drink, I'm having The Best Manhattan Cocktail made with Michter's #1 Bourbon, Dolin sweet vermouth, Amaro Montenegro and bcc dash of Luxardo liqueur served in a martini glass. This is very good! It's not incredibly strong but it's filled pretty close to the rim. For his entree, Boomer is having the Prime Dry-Aged NY Sirloin Steak (cooked medium) with sides of broccoli and mushrooms. Look at the video! I've never seen the "plate-rimming" technique before. He says it is fantastic! The broccoli and mushrooms are great! I am having the Grilled Atlantic Salmon served with a lemon dill cream sauce on a bed of sautéed spinach. I am also getting an extra side of Brussels sprouts. Look at the size of that piece of salmon! The server says she has never seen one that big! The salmon is cooked perfectly! The spinach is nice (no cream). For my dessert, I'm having a Hot Fudhr Subdae made with vanilla ice cream, hot fudge, Schlag (whipped cream) and walnuts. This thing is huge! I like the soft vanilla cream. This is the bomb!!! For his desert, Boomer is having Creme Brûlée. He says it is fantastic! For my last drink, I'm having Irish Coffee made with Jameson, Irish Cream, coffee and whipped cream. Damn! I'm liking this! My designated driver is having a coffee (no alcohol). This place is the best!!!

What a great meal I had at @butcherbrosct Friday night. The restaurant was beautiful, clean & well lit. Let's get into what I ordered on this night. Started off with this beautiful beet salad that was so tasty. To the main entrees like this Shrimp Scampi with colossal shrimp & delicious sauce. Then comes the lovely sides like this creamy & cheesy creamed spinach, steak truffle fries that were seasoned just right. Here comes what I came for, this perfectly grilled rib eye steak with the crust on it with he perfect amount of salt & pepper. Each bite was delightful & cut like butter. Service was ok ,wish my server told me about the specials. Also brought my steak knife out without me asking for it. But If you're looking for a place for dinner or a night out this is it. #steakhouse #goodeatsinct #chesirect #butcherbros #outonthetown #foodie #foodblogger #foodreviews

Our party walked into the dining room and noticed the decor seemed old and outdated. We were handed our menus, which were on tablets and took a bit of an adjustment. We ordered the fried calamari and sesame encrusted yellowfin tuna which were delicious. We continued with the Ribeye, NY Strip and Filet Mignon steaks. Our sides included Truffle Mac and Cheese and Truffle Fries. Everything was seasoned well and cooked as ordered. The "gravy " that came with the steak was cold and created a thin lumpy layer on top. Staff was decent, but literally just asked us what we wanted to order and then brought us the check. Not rude, but not much more.

We had a wonderful meal celebrating my brother's birthday and we were seated in the wine room. This ia a steak restaurant with good acoustics where you can actually hear your dining companions. This is the third time that I have been to the restaurant, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal! Patrick is the GM, and make sure that everything is perfect, along with our server, Natalie. We started with the french onion soup whch is a large bowl. We tried the side of meatballs which were excellent. The chicken piccata typically comes on mashed potatoes and I asked for penne pasta which was terrific! My brother had the stuffed pork chops which is a huge portion, and my sister-in-law had the sole. My brother was appreciative of the fact that with the left overs they had two more meals this past week. Thank you again for another wonderful meal!

I ordered via Uber Eats and couldn't be happier with the experience. Even though I didn't dine in, the food was so amazing that I had to leave a review! The 20 oz Bone-In Ribeye Steak was cooked perfectly--juicy, tender, and full of flavor. The Wild Canadian Salmon was fresh and delicious, and the sautéed broccoli was the perfect healthy side. Everything arrived hot and was packaged so well. If the food is this good through delivery, I can only imagine how great it is in person! Highly recommend!

Porter house for two. And our three sides.

Aaron was an amazing bartender. Very friendly and patient even after I dropped my hot fudge sundae all over the bar! The food was amazing. The people were wonderful. The porterhouse steak was perfectly cooked, and they even gave us a complementary drink for our wedding anniversary. We'll be back .

Came here for lunch , very random. Had the restaurant to ourselves . Mark was our bartender and waiter. Super cool, attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. Happy hour 11am -3pm everyday. I mean ... lol yeah. Oysters to start of course . They were nice and small from Point Judith, they were so good! Drinks we had some blackberry martini , good too I had two! Ok for lunch we indulged in the lunch special which was an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert. The petite filet mignon. It came with cream spinach and mash potatoes. So good, it had a mushroom sauce I've the steak . I chose a Caesar salad it was ok. For dessert tiramisu which was good. It was a great experience!

While in the area, we did a search of local restaurants and found this one. We placed a take out order by phone. The lobster mac & cheese was very good. We found the diver scallops to be just fair. We did not like the zucchini that came with the scallops - a matter of personal taste - there was nothing wrong with them. The beet salad with arugula is what we liked the most. We enjoyed the crème brûlée we ordered for dessert.

    Family get together around Christmas!

Okay, I was a bit nervous heading into this reservation because the reviews seemed pretty mixed, but overall, I really enjoyed my time!! You could tell this is a pretty old functioning Steakhouse, and while most people urge for everything to have a makeover, I actually enjoyed its charm. It reminded me of so many other restaurants that we'd go to for family functions growing up in New England. They had our table ready to go, and it wasn't packed on a Friday before Christmas. Right off the bat, we couldn't stop diving into the sauce they provided with the bread. It was like a sweet/spicy marinade of some sort. Really good. We got two orders of Calamari to start: one NY style and one classic. I liked trying the NY style for a change but in my own personal opinion, I think the classic had it beat. They were both tasteful, and fresh. For entrees, I got the lamb and they were cooked exactly as I had preferred, medium rare. Basic side of mashed potatoes and asparagus which is actually what I prefer with my proteins. My brother got a steak and the seasoning was very flavorful. I don't think anyone really had an issue with any of their food. Waiter was pleasant and staff was attentive. We sat across from a rowdy younger crowd celebrating a birthday. The staff came out with a dessert and a song and we loved having that fun, lively ambiance amongst our table of 10. Only complaints are the $60 to hold a reservation. I have a feeling this might turn away some business. I also don't think I got that money back even though we attended and were on time? The other complaint was how exceedingly warm the dining room was but those things can't always be controlled in a large space. All in all, we had a great time and would probably come back for another family reunion if we're back in the area.

Everything was clean and new and they have a menu of dry aged steaks , tacos and other items in their regular part of the restaurant which is quite large as well. Overall a Christmas Eve well spent and we will be back!

Warm and welcoming. We were all happy with our appetizers and drinks. I had a Mediterranean feta dip. My husband had an orange salad, my sister in law the beet salad and my brother in law had the burrata salad. We all loved what we had. Cocktails were great, The guys had old fashioneds. I tried my husbands and it was nice and smooth with hints of honey. My sister in law and I had white raspberry vodka martinis. Again smooth and refreshing. At this point, we all would've given the place a solid five. That is until the steaks came. Three of us had the dry aged ribeyes we ordered them medium rare. They were served well done. Not a hint of red or pink! The waitress asked us to cut into them to see if they were to our liking. We all said they were overcooked. Not the waitresses fault. She was great. We asked what they did with overdone ones sent back and she said they 86'd them. We couldn't bare throwing all that food out so we ate them. The char on the outside was good but we feel that's what caused them to be overdone. The flavor was ok but at $68 a plate you expect your steak to be served the way you requested it. We were very disappointed and no compensation was offered. By the way, the guy at the table behind us sent his back because it was overdone as well. My husband had the surf and turf special filet with shrimp over mashed potatoes. He was happy with his meal. It's a beautiful place and we were happy with everything except the steak. But that's a big except when that is the reason we went there. If you go and want medium rare ask for rare and you might get lucky. Otherwise stick to the tavern down below the steakhouse.
